  • This seminar is intended for NX Nastran users that are interested in nonlinear analysis but aren't quite sure when, why and how to use it.
For more about us, please visit www.appliedcax.com.
The presentation provides theory, implementation, and analysis examples of the following nonlinear topics:
    - Geometric Nonlinear (Contact and Buckling)
    - Material Nonlinear (Plasticity and Hyperelastic Materials)
    - Multi-Step Analyses (Contact with Bolt Preload, Residual Stress, Vibration of Stiffened Structures)
    - Gap Elements (Compression Only for Contact, Tension Only for Cables)
The best part about all of this is the fact that you already have these capabilities within your existing software. All analysis examples will use the NX Nastran linear solver (SOL 101) or the static nonlinear solver (SOL 106).

Gap elements with tension only, have nothing to do with cable elements. Gap element does not simulate the geometric nonlinearity (sag) of a cable. It 's a totally different thing. FEMAP, cannot simulate a real cable element with the 1D elements it has.........unless you use a special simulation!!!!
