Thanks Jay for your knowledge and expertise on motorcycle stereo systems. I’ve received the upper fairing Kenwood 2 speaker system sounds way better than stock setup. Took about 3 hours to install but was straight forward. Couldn’t imagine anyone could want more volume this system Rocks! Nice job Kenwood on a great low cost system.
Hey, love that Midnight Crimson Ultra in the background. Lol. Y'all did a phenomenal job on my bike. Road it to Sturgis from North Alabama and back. 3600 miles and tunes were more than loud enough and crystal clear.
Rockford flash is the stock 4 speaker no amp flash, all the brand name flashes are a stock flash with a new name, most pick a factory amplified flash but Rockford and wild boar are just the non amp 4 speaker flash
@@volunteeraudio So did you flash it with the Techno Research tool as 4 speaker no amp? It sounded like you were not able to flash it and left it as factory flash. Your videos are getting so much better with better camera angles and very detailed explanation, keep up the good work Jay!
What is the sound difference between the ferrite speaker and the neo speaker? Ken wood makes both and it seems the weight savings would be desirable if the sound is the same.
They have the same frequency response and efficiency according to Kenwood specs, but the kits only come with neo when installing in tour pack locations
Do you have a step by step video on how to add speakers to a road king I’ve looked all over RUclips and can’t find a single one. Like a 6 speaker set up

Can I use street glide videos for my Tri Glide also(of course with tour pack speakers)? 66 and looking for clean sound not bike night sound. This may be an option for me? Mostly listen to country and 70’s rock.
I installed this n it worked great for a month then only one speaker made sound . Both speaker work I tested . But sound comes from only one speaker. I followed your directions in the video. Is there something I did wrong or the amp fried?

Is there any buzzing coming through the speakers? I installed 2 DS18 Pro coax along with a SKAR audio Amp. I can not get the buzzing out of it. I've tried the ground ideas. My ground is good. I also lost fm signal since having the radio flashed. Any ideas? Bad Amp? Low quality equipment? HELP!! Charlie
@@alsaint7944 common ground Amps are terrible for noise and you do get what you pay for, higher quality amps traditionally have much lower distortion and less electrical noise

@@CodyMcDonald89 do you have a hidden antenna or mast? All amplifiers and led lights can lower fm signal quality, a good mast antenna does well but many things can cause the hidden antennas to not work well
@@volunteeraudio has the antenna piece on back of the bike but it s shorty antenna. It’s no big deal just wasn’t sure why it was working and now not very good. I use my phone for all music as most people haha
you said the smaller speaker terminal was positive...everything i've read online says that most often the larger terminal on the speaker is positive. Am i wrong?
This is specific to Harley Davidson factory connections, on a Harley the large terminal is negative and smaller is positive, reversed from what most other speakers are
As always, another great video Jay. I don't think for the money it's worth it with this kit...would much rather the extra money and go with your Hertz kits.
Not everyone has the same budget and for some this is a great value compared to buying the hd audio by Rockford or boom audio from the dealer, lower cost and better performance. Spending more on hertz is for sure louder and clearer at those very high volumes but at a higher price point

Yes it is very similar, lower speaker pod bolts will need a 11mm wrench due to front fork rake

No buzz from this system
Ds18 is very low quality and using a low quality amp will always have buzzing, we build and sell kits that do not have these issues

So is the gains already fixed form you when you ship. Because I installed and no flash. How am I suppose to flash?
You do not flash and we have preset the gains. If you flash the stock radio these amps will not turn on
