- This time at the Quick Speed Shop I've got the 1937 Ford Tudor in the shop to get some fender skirts installed. These are fiberglass bubble tear drop skirts that I bought at spring Carlisle for $40. The fit like crap, maybe why they were $40, but painted up and installed, from a couple feet away, look pretty good.
I'm displaying this car at the 2024 Cavalcade of Cars in Hamburg, NY March 1st-3rd in the taildragger display so these skirts are key to that look.
Please like, share, and subscribe. I put out new videos every Wednesday and Sunday.

Skirts turned out great... as they say, a little duct tape and a sharpie fix everything!!!! Have fun a the the show!! Go for a mullet!!! YES!!
Sharpie and duct tape is right at my skill level
They really make the car. Smart.
They add great to the look. I'll be on the outlook for good steel ones I can make fit better
Love it Sharpie to save the day. Awesome video Josh, Have a fantastic week
Thanks Ray!
👍🏻Nice job! I added some tabs and fiberglass them in the upper corners to help suck them in and make them a little more secure, also cut that lip off the skirt to get a better fit. Paint it black and hit the car show
If I have to do that much I'm going to find steel ones. It's a lot of work to make these glass ones good
Looking good 👍👍
Thanks 👍 Its a good 5 footer
Those skirts look great! Awesome job Josh!
Thanks man!
@@QuickSpeedShop You're welcome! 😊
Turned out nice, Josh. And for $40 skirts, you saved on a lot of 🍺 money!
Thanks. They work for now. I'm going to do something better in the future
Those skirts look sharp!
Thanks 👍
My 221 cu in '62 Ford Fairlane 500 skirts mounted to the fender well flanges, no foam or welting.
Newer cars were like that. The '30s and '40s cars they just overlapped the fenders.
Ok...here's a rush job idea on the skirts. Ill speak to the drivers side. Epoxy a bolt on the backside of the two offending areas. Make a steel clip that hooks the fender lip...the bolt threads will need to pass thru that clip with a nut to retain I'm place. If it pulls in great...if not put a few saw kirfs on that fiberglass lip and tighten again. You can fill the kirfs with some black caulk.
Those are good ideas. I'm going to look for steel skirts that I can' modify. I'm not going to waste time with the fiberglass ones.
@QuickSpeedShop good luck...always tough when your looking for it as you know!!
I still have the skirts from dads 82bonneville maybe i could get $8million now? ever notice 1937 ford plymouth pontiac look the same
I mean they look similar because all cars of the 1935-1940 era were heavily designed with art deco styling. Just like all the cars from the 1980s are square boxes
Spray it black
Spray what black?
