    13:31 Jagwire has excellent wires and cables.
    The cheap wires do well but not as slick, but the Pro wire is slick, and does not have a silly bad coating as Shimano XTR has, that's so bad it performs worse than any cheapnwire as the coating adds friction once it wears and it wears out in first ride.
    I have used the brake housing and wire too. They performed well.
    So they get the seal of approval from me.

    The seat post is cool that’s something we can sell in the bike shop . There are so many that need one but don’t want to pay 300 plus an install . A lot of bikes won’t accept internal routed droppers so this is perfect for bikes under 1,000.. it will be an epic add on just like a seat with a hole in the middle. We work off commission and If we sell 3 accessories we get 3 bucks , 5 accessories 5 bucks . This reminds me I gotta add those up it’s been since September.

      Oh my god!! Dude I could not even imagine something like that!! I would be hitting switches all the way down!!! LOL

  • @TheButlerNZ
    @TheButlerNZ 2 года назад +1

    Y'know... it wouldn't take much to put a morse cable under the seat and make that TranzX both lever AND remote capable. clamp the cable end on the front rails of the seat and throw a small lever on the bar like a ZTTO with the less friction wheel design. Just drill the lever with a cable size hole right through.. and a cable end size drill from the bottom half way through if you want to keep it tidy.
    What I want... is a double stage dropper so I can get 150mm travel out of a 180mm frame tube with max height of the top slider of 370mm... I need to do some drawing...
    (currently I've got a Zoom Tequila that seems to be the best choice for 100mm travel while having the shortest body.... (I've got a Giant Faith 2010 and the Zoom dropper is bottomed out on the linkage bolt...)

    • @WOLFTICKVIDEOS

      Lol man, you seem like you love all the gadgets!! I do good to just have one shifter🤣🤣🤣🤣😉

    • @TheButlerNZ
      @TheButlerNZ 2 года назад

      @@WOLFTICKVIDEOS It wouldn't be hard for a few of these droppers to be designed for lever and morse. Just like the from derailleurs often have top and bottom cable capability.
      The math isn't good for a 150mm for me... I might see if I can get an office chair with 150 travel and make an elbow under the crotch to keep the seat facing forward... but in reality I'll just be stuck with 100mm.
      Maybe I'll cut into the tequila and see if I can squeeze another 10mm out of it.. but it's fairly slammed to the deck already so extra travel doesn't really help.... (I think optimum seat up height for me is about 10mm off the pivot but the advantage of the 10mm lower seat on downhill seems more of an advantage to me.
      The TranzX actually looks like it may be shorter in the lower body meaning an all over lower seat height. (I could always raise the dropper in the frame for uphill and run the lower position for up/down action in the DH's

    On a technical course, even on XC, wouldn’t it be preferable to not be taking your hand off the handle bars, while your body makes abrupt changes to your riding position and the bike is bobbing on rough terrain, down a steep slope, braking , or something else difficult? I see the dropper as a technical tool and not a convenience feature component.. I would spend $119 somewhere else on the bike.. I've never snapped any brake levers, I had Shimano M615, M396, M6000, I had other failures on them, but never snapped a lever, on the M615I bent the lever a lot, I had to use pliers to bend it back. A hard side impact is what will bend a lever blade, but the new SLX seem to fail too easily. the M615, M6000, and the old and new SLX brakes have a lever that is meant to bend on up and down impact, that's the reason for the lever getting narrower. M396 did not.

    I was just looking at this dropper but had the same concern about the bolt holes on my Cannondale as well. Thanks for the review. The real question is what happened to yesterdays video!?

    • @WOLFTICKVIDEOS
      @WOLFTICKVIDEOS  2 года назад +1

      It was meant to be temporary since we aren't really that kind of channel. I wanted to move on and get back to giving fair and honest feedback on how we feel about the bike for what it is and not distract people from that. We pride ourselves in being unbiased and I'm not sure new viewers would get that feeling from that rant🤣.
      We have a road trip planned to exchange the Kent and hopefully get one that we can test/review. We might include this explanation in that episode, not sure if it will make the cut though, we'll see how it comes out. If you enjoyed that rant, what would you think about a possible monthly podcast style video were we talk about the world of budget biking and related stuff?

      You did call me out when you got you post in the Mailtime. It's odd you remembered that far back that i was looking for a dropper and mentioned this one. My KS is an external cable neatly tucked on the side of it with a little help from Gorilla Tape because it spit it's insides out and the clip got lost. Lol
