    Re the 40% tax if you earn let say £60271 don’t you only get the other 20% ( to make up the 40% ) on the amount over the £50271 , so £10k in this example.
    So anything put in a pension in excess would be better in a LISA ?

      Simon exactly right. You only get the higher rate tax relief back on the money over the lower rate.
      So yes, if you have more to invest in that then a LISA is a fabulous place
