    Hi..
I hope you read my question. Why you put seatstay at top after seatclamp ? I thinking build costum roadbike with that seatstay, its worked ?

The welds look really good. What do they look like on the insides of the tubes? I'm no expert but I think just a minimal bit of bubbling up on the back all the way around is what you probably want where things join the HT and ST (which the reamer will take off). The BB shell is so thick nothing should come through except a bit of colour.

What tube size and thickness do you use for your steel bike

For what it's worth my welding teacher recommended American Optics. They use to make the best "cheater" lense for TIG welding. I picked up a replica that was super helpful for my eyes. You might be able to find one for your specific hood lense type too.

Great welding Joe! Arccaptain wants to invite you to try out our TIG200P welder machine. Would you be interested in giving it a try?

Why do you you hold your torch so close @ the cup? In my opinion it's easier to hold it a bit further down the torch. Hold it like a pen. You get your hand out of the way and can see your weld better. You can make little corrections with your fingers. Keep up the good work.

I like holding it close up. Holding further back gives you less sensitivity and control, or that's how it feels to me. The head and the cup get hot when you're welding heavy stuff, but on bikes at the speed I go it's not bad.

Awesome videos! But dude, cover your arms! The UV coming off of the arc will fuck up your skin worse than a sun burn!

I agree that is a valid concern. Apart from the welding I did in these videos, I only did another hour or so of welding last year. I don't put a huge emphasis on UV protection while welding because I do SO little of it, but if I did much more I would certainly cover up better.
