@Averageperson he skinned the girl alive and ripped her arms off then doused the other girl in acid and ripped her heart out. And ripped the D from that guy... but yeah, not scary at all.
@@baddiesposeforme4 Yeah, but facing your fears is how you learn to overcome them, psychologically that's scary but once you realize you just have to overcome that fear Pennywise is incredibly weak, basically nothing without it. Much easier said than done of course, so by exposing people to their fears it might backfire. Art is supernatural but more demonic and more 'real', so there's no real chance of actually defeating him(for almost everyone) and he's far more consistently dangerous and less vulnerable, and he's more powerful than he looks. IMO his look and demeanor is more terrifying and being silent adds to that, and the unpredictability and sudden movements, and also his tendency to torture people slowly until they die. A bit apples to oranges, psychologically Pennywise might have an edge but almost unfairly so especially considering his ability to literally transform into what people fear most and get in your head. Tough call but for me it's Art as because he's supernatural and I couldn't really defeat him, if he wanted to kill me I'd be screwed and it'd be an especially painful and miserable experience. I actually thought he was human until recently, if that was the case I wouldn't be too worried about it as he looks a bit frail, but him being supernatural explains a lot.
Art the Clown is the scariest clown I've ever seen. I was 8, 1990, when the "IT" miniseries premiered. I still have visions of the balloon bursting in the library, but honestly Art the Clown scared me when I saw the movie earlier this year. I'm 38 now. His anarchistic way of messing with his victims before he shows up on the scene, the fact he moves like a mime... That's far scarier than any other clown.
I am SO GLAD killer clowns from outer space is getting the recognition it deserves Edit: theres actually quite a few really good horror clown films on this list that don't usually get the recognition they deserve, I'm glad.
I'd actually say the Joker in "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker", and that was because of Mark Hamill's twisted performance and how messed up the story was with what the Joker did to Tim Drake and the Bat family, not because of the whole clown thing. That actually had substance!
He's is the most TERRIFYING clown I've ever seen, and I was 8 when "IT" came out in 1990. That was absolutely terrifying. Art the Clown takes the cake though, hands down.
Art is way scarier than any of the others, especially since he messes around and stalks you and then kills you in the most brutal way possible, his face and personality is also more demonic. And im also excited for terrifier 2
Captain Spaulding was such an awesome character. And Tim Curry as Pennywise will always be my favorite version of the character ever since he scared the hell out of me when I was 10 years old and the tv mini-series first premiered. But I think Art the Clown from “Terrifier” may just be the scariest clown in film for me.
Spaulding is ruthless killer but still has human characteristic and can even seem kind of likeable (thanks to great actor), Pennywise literally has to lure you in sewer to kill you. Art is the worst, he is not even mortal, he doesn't talk, he has no any conscience to speak of.
Pennywise is very scary and horrifying because he’s turning into other creatures like a Mummy,Werewolf,Giant Spider,Georgie and the disgusting poor dude the Leper 😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
All of these clowns are creepy except the Killer Klowns which are just goofy. But Art takes it to new heights in psychotic madness and pure evil. Even Pennywise comes up a lil short against what Art has in store for his victims.
The scariest clown movie I've seen so far is Terrifier 2. I have to see the first part and All Hollows Eve. But after I saw Terrifier 2, I found it way to Gorey and some senses are over the top. Overall, I found the movie awesome and loved the actors.
Art is way scarier than any of the others, especially since he messes around and stalks you and then kills you in the most brutal way possible, his face and personality is also more demonic
Clownhouse scarred me as a kid. 3 men escape a mental facility and happen to come across a circus in town. One watches, fascinated, a clown make balloon animals and uses the twisting technique to kill. If you haven't seen that one, you should give it a try.
I’ve never been scared of a horror movie. It 2017 was the first horror movie I’ve ever seen and i watched it with my friend and we laughed so much on the some scenes.
Who’s your most terrifying movie clown? Let us know in the comments below.
It Pennywise
Joker lol
Fuckin terrifier
Or art the clown boi
Pennywise
Captain Spaulding is iconic! Thank you Sid Haig, Rest in Peace!
He didn’t seem that evil until the sequel
He was definitely missed in 3 from Hell
Spaudling was the best thing about that franchise.
6:45 should be #1
I agree with you buddy
Art the Clown movies are actually the definition peak horror, especially the newest one 😍
I admit I haven’t watched the second one, but the wonky acting and pacing in the first one turned me away
Fr! Can’t wait for the 3rd one! Apparently its kills are going to be way more intense!

Art the Clown is easily the scariest. That movie messed with me for a week straight
He scares the crap out of me😖😖😖
Should check out the 2nd movie if yiu haven’t already
Who in here thinks that Art the Clown should be number 1? still can’t get over that final scene from All Hallows Eve!
I can’t get over that bedroom scene in terrifier two and dawns death in terrifier 1
Literally everyone. How can a toy clown or clown that lives in sewer be scarier than mindless sadistic inhuman creature?
@Averageperson he skinned the girl alive and ripped her arms off then doused the other girl in acid and ripped her heart out. And ripped the D from that guy... but yeah, not scary at all.
@Averageperson I honestly didn't use to gore
I'm pretty sure most people find Art scarier than Pennywise.
Art is definitely pure nightmare fuel.

@@samtheman123 nah Joker can get B Smacked. He ain't scary bruh.

The way he doesn’t talk…and those gruel expressions he makes horrify me
Does anyone remember that time where there were a lot of people dressed in clown costumes everywhere?
I do. It was 2016-2017
I believe you're thinking of stitches?
what a weird time. clowns all over my college campus. was definitely 2016-2017 because I was in the dorms
Lol my school had to do a level 3 lock down because of them
I kind of wish something like that would happen again.
Art the clown is really the scariest clown in my opinion
The scariest clown of all time should be Ronald Mcdonald. God knows what he puts in those chicken McNuggets.
@Robbie Grosdidier plus let's face it he's killed millions of people with his product or at least giving them a lot of diabetes
XD
There was a report of a box of chicken nuggets melting after spending 2 days in the sun. So God know what's really in those things.
Fingies in the nuggies...
haha omg
My oldest sister had a toy clown just like in Poltergeist. She threw that thing right out of her room after that movie.
Art the Clown makes every clown in this list so inocent

Art the clown is terrifying, I’d have nightmares for days if I saw Terrifier as a kid.
I'd actually say the Joker in "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker", and that was because of Mark Hamill's twisted performance and how messed up the story was with what the Joker did to Tim Drake and the Bat family, not because of the whole clown thing. That actually had substance!
That whole arc with Robin scared the crap out of me when I was a kid
RotJoker was direct-to-video, so they probably count him for TV rather than Movies.
I am literally obsessed with creepy clown horror movies! 🤡 My most favorites are Pennywise and Art the clown!

You can´t have a list of scariest movie clowns without Pennywise and the Joker
Nope, you cannot.
Yes you can
In the vampires list they should include the demon/guy who gave luke evan's dracula his powers
And deacon frost from blade 1998
What we've learnt: there aren't enough scary clowns in good films to fill a top ten list
3:36 Tom Kenny as a creepy childrens clown is not surprising considering he also played one in Star Vs The Forces Of Evil

I have a similar opinion. Art the Clown is really scary all around.

My dad told me how one of his friends had the same toy clown from Poltergeist, and after seeing the movie, he was afraid to touch it.
Terrifier should be the number one spot on this list
The Joker vs Bugs Bunny is the movie I am waiting to happen.

Art the clown and Clown (2014) better be on this list.
Yeah well John Wayne Gacy was a real scary clown from no movie 😒
I would’ve included him in the movie Gacy. Played by Francis from Pee See’s big adventure who also featured a clown that I always found scary haha
