you reading the book FIRE AND BLOOD too! hunny, that book is OFF THE CHAIN!!! I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN!!!! and one main thing i love is that the directors are holding true to the design of the iron throne. the throne is designed just like it is in the book. FABULOUS!!! GET READY YALL!! IT'S TIME TO RIDE THE DRAGONS ONCE AGAIN (GET YOUR DRAGON CHICKEN WANGS READY!!)

Seeing multiple other female Targaryen heirs have the throne stolen from them only makes Dany's fate in GoT SO much worse. It's more maddening, frustrating and stupid than ever.
Not only would Dany have fulfilled her OWN destiny and broken the wheel (if you take out D&D's rushed character assassination of her), but she would have represented all of the Targaryen women that came before her who were rightful heirs to the throne & yet had it taken away.
You do know that even in the books the most probable outcome is for Dany to die too, dont you?
Dany didn't have the throne stolen from her. Her brother was next in line

@@stannisthemannis7779 yes she will most likely die but not the way she did in the show. She will most likely die in child birth like her mother before her she will then be reunited with Drogo in the night lands but the Targaryen line will still live on. The witch’s prophecy in book 1 is basically foreshadowing what will happen to her. Everyone thinks she going to go mad because she’s made questionable decisions in the books but literally 95% of the characters in the books have made questionable decision.
Having just watched the first episode of HOTD I can tell you this is going to be f**king EPIC huge budget on this and fans are going to love this.

A medieval world with dragons and magic and royals being married off EXTREMELY young. . ? And there is no proof to Daemon GROOMING her.. this was a time when a girl got her first blood she was considered a woman and would be married off and start making babies, this would be around ages 12-14...
if you want to get technical, her father was GROOMING her and that fact is ACTUALLY IN THE BOOK.
To Groom is defined as; *prepare or train (someone) for a particular purpose or activity.*
"star pupils who are groomed for higher things".
So sure, she WAS being groomed.
But NOT by Daemon, but rather her FATHER was GROOMING HER to take the throne.
@@Persephone_Personified uhhhhh what??? Hard disagree on Daemon “grooming” his niece. It’s not even insinuated or implied, it’s a fact. Daemon was a known scumbag in Kings Landing, he’s known as the King of Flea Bottom.
He’s the one that taught his niece (at an early age) the ways of how to please both women and men.
Do YOU realize that this is a GOT prequel and have you read the books? Yes young women of high born and “Great” houses are married off to lords and lordlings once they’ve “had their blood” but in the case of the Targaryens it’s done between Targaryens. King Viserys loved his brother but he had no intention on having him wed his daughter, the original heir to the throne. That sexual relationship between prepubescent Rhaenyra and her scumbag uncle Daemon is well documented, in the Book. 🤓
@@marcwa74 Well I know somebody that went to the Premier on Wednesday and said that Daemon is actually portrayed extremely differently in fire and blood because it was written by the Maestors who hated him
so sorry to burst your bubble baby but you’re wrong because his character portrayal and ZERO GROOMING came straight from somebody’s mouth that saw the first episode.
The book Fire & Blood was written from 3 perspectives and all 3 were unreliable narrators. What we watch on the show is the events as they ACTUALLY HAPPENED IN CANON with no narrative bias like the book has.
Daemon in all actuality LOVES nearly all the Targaryens at the start, but he loves brothels and ladies sure, but whilst his niece is a young child she adores him AS AN UNCLE and he holds her in the highest regard for her intellect and quick wit.
But not once in the first episode is he CrEepiLy “grooming “ her.

I feel I need to point out that the black "Targaryen" sigil that you've put on your thumbnail is in fact NOT the Targaryen sigil. The Targaryen sigil is red, not black. The only deviation from this is the yellow dragon that Aegon II uses. The black dragon is the sigil of House Blackfyre, which doesn't exist yet in House of the Dragon.

Even though they messed the last season of GOT it is still my favorite TV series till this date. I am currently doing a reread of the fire and blood series to prep for August 21st

We've seen it like 10 times already because we've been watching GOT all week. LoL It looks AHH-MAZING

Yeah. He’s probably been dead for decades.
He dies about 5 years before the series starts, King Viserys was the last person to ride him. The largest dragon in this show will be Vhagar, whose foot is shown in the trailer. She was also alive and one of Aegon's three during the conquest.
I finished the book last month. So it’s fresh in my mind. My question to Ralph is ho far along are you? B/c in the book we don’t get to the events that happen in this series until 1/2 way through. We start with Aegon the Conqueror and his sister wives. We are several generations into the Targaryen line when the Dance of Dragons aka the Targaryen civil war happens. This mess is really starts with The Old King Jaehaerys Targaryen and his direct lineage and his relationship to the Hightowers but the show is skipping the first half of the book… they should’ve used the entire book/ history of the Targaryens
The first half lacks politics. Its basically battles upon battles. This is riddled with politics and that's the thing that made thrones so good. Also If this show does well then they'll use it as an anthology series and do multiple stuff like the blackfyre rebellions, Aegons Conquest and Roberts Rebellion
@@marwanali4878 The whole book is a history book. The actual Dance of Dragons is a retelling of those events by 🍄 and historians. But make no mistake, I don’t know what book you read there is plenty of “politics”/ and “drama” in the first half of the book too. Specifically with Jaehaerys, his sister wife Alysanne and their many many many children. What happened to their sons is why there’s even a civil war when it comes to the line of succession. You could have an entire series on them alone. Or you could have a season about Maegor Targaryen aka Maegor the cruel and his brother Aenys.
There are sooooooooooo many storylines/ historical events you could use to have multiple seasons that lead up to the Dance of Dragons, that would be very entertaining.
Side note Jaehaerys is my favorite character in the book and he’s not even in the Dance of Dragons….. even though his relationship to a certain family is part of the conflict 🤓. The young king before he was known as the old king. Hands down the best ruler the seven kingdoms ever had.
@@marcwa74 the war of ravens at the start of the dance, all of season 1 that will deal with Storms end and how it leaves Rhaenys who is half baratheon for Alicent Is a point for contention. The triarchy and the war of the stepstones, them attacking Aegon the younger and viserys, Aegon the elders succession, Just everything with the Hightowers and the alleged murder of the elder strongs by King Viserys, Hour of the wolf, blood and cheese, the council of 101. These are some of the things that will be in the show (Spoiler if you haven't seen the pictures, Jaehaerys is in the show during the council of 101 which will be covered in the first episode). The first half of the book only has one major political part which is Dorne and that too stops after The Toad Of Dorne dies. Other than that, its gonna be the stuff with the Faith during Jaehaerys' reign which would make the show very dry and only fights are in Maegors reign. Aenys' reign is very boring and lackluster. Maegor's reign although an improvement to Aenys' with respect to entertainment but its all just Balerion and Vhagar burning shit. Jaehaerys' reign is quite prosperous which would again be fun at the start but will get repetitive for the general audience (I love his and Alyssane's Dynamic but the general public might disagree). Also its said that if the show is successful then they will do all the major events
@@marwanali4878 Love having this back and forth. And we will have to agree to disagree. Wars by their very nature are political instruments. In my opinion have enough history to tell a larger and engaging story, that can end with Dance of Dragons. And while the reign of The Old King and his sister wife was prosperous, “The Stranger” visited their kingdom several times. Their children also did not do so well either. And while there were no real challenges to his throne, (again) his reign sets up what happens in Dance of Dragons
I will agree with you on this, Dance of Dragons, for the mainstream audience, will be another water cooler show. Not just b/c of its political machinations between two rival families but just how far things devolve into utter chaos. It is another “Game” of Thrones. You win or you die.

I’m re-reading ASOIF and I’m enjoying the reference to the history of the Targaryens by certain characters.
Still would’ve preferred starting with Aegon but Im excited for what we’re getting. 🤞
