Wow !!! i love the secont idea is sooooo cool !!! i think that worth a video alone !!!! thanks for sharing this amazing ideas!!! have a great work my brother !!
Very neat! Wish I had that fancy tool that you use to cut the log flat on both sides. My tools are just the old stuff my Dad has. Like that crank/vice bench only it dosen't crack anymore. He got that when they first came out. Do you have a videos for a beginner like myself? My Dad only knows remodeling. I would love to get into the building of wood like this.
I honestly, genuinely love every one of your videos. They’re calming, relaxing and I learn something new every time. I have to say, I’m in love with that table runner. Do you mind if I ask what material is on the back? You do fantastic videos, please do more. 😊 I hope you and your family have a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.x
+Laura Filby Thank you very much Laura this truly means a lot! I don't know the exact name of it but its some kind of very thick woven yarn. I wish you a Happy Christmas too!
Nice grain and ring pattern, must have taken some time to find and pick out a bear perfect branch offcut my are gnarly with lumps and 4 inch diameter. Yeah have coated them but with teak oil so far, and sand them down the same. Got millions of them discs too, only have once thin branch about thumb thick but no Lecky saw
Great work! I made these for my wife as per your instructions for great gift ideas but she threw them back at me, apparently she thought she'd be getting jewelry for Xmas.
If times are hard and someone doesn't appreciate your effort that's sad. If you could have bought the jewellery too, well you live and learn. The woodworking might have made a nice stocking for filler for your wife. After all this time, and she still gives you a hard time👋
Thanks! I don’t know the name, just took the cheapest fabric I could find. Just make sure it isn’t too tightly woven so that the glue can flow in it a bit
love this tried the matt last week can anyone help me find out what the song is at 2 mins 20 second iv looked at the link posted and cant find it any where iv shazamed it and also tried other lyric finders with no luck really would like to know what the song is cheers peeps
Great ideas. Sad music. And you must have all that machinery to accomplish the craft. But I enjoyed it, gave me good ideas fid my fallen pine tree to use up the wood Explain more: how long to bake them?? What is that fabric, looks like a heavy canvas??
hey there. i would like to ask you, cos i try to find my answer online, but i just cant. Is it actually safe to finish it with Danish oil? cos its highly flammable, i dont know if when its dry. cant find my answer.. can you help me with that? i already coated with Danish, i am just wondering, if i should coat with something else on top of Danish oil, which is fire resistant/retardant... ? please tell me, if you know. thank, good work!
Hi! You are right, most of the solvent based finishes are flammable. BUT the solvents evaporate when the finish is drying. You could use water based varnish which is not flammable at all. But keep in mind that the wood is always flammable, no matter what finish you use.
@@Ollarisfirst thanks man so much for reply! :) so when its painted with danish and its dry and ready to serve, it should be okay as just holder of lighted candles? i mean if you use it just normal way and always attendet, it should be okay? you know what i mean, not trying to catch it on fire, but if it can somehow catch itself while candle is just lighting? sorry for messy english.. i just want to know it before christmas, i want to rebuild or something if its big problem, hope not. thanks, let me know man pls.
Really nice! Can I ask what temperature and for how long you put those discs in the oven? Thanks!
+Andy Pugh Thanks Andy! It was for about 2h on the lowest setting in my gas oven. I don't know the exact temperature.

+Sonny Pittman Thanks Sonny!
Looks great ollari! Love it that you usef small branches. Normally one would use it only as firewood! Mostly oak?
+Sebastiaan Mollema Thank you! Its mostly Acacia and Cherry.
ah ok, I was guessing that because of the heartwood color.
Amazing

Full table laying with wood spears. That's very beautiful. Which tree did you use?
+Александр Ремизов Thank you! It's cherry and Acacia.
Really nice. You didn't want to use the 2 belt sanders idea for the disk?🤣 Your sanding board was probably a better idea 😊
+John Made it Thanks! Nooo, your idea was way-way better but I didn't found a 2nd belt sander in time. :(
Ollari's if your going makers central then maybe we can all bring our belt sanders and drag race them 😂🤣
+John Made it Yaaaaasssss!!!! But just Handheld ones are allowed!!
I love your ideas, which kind the fabric did you used for the table?
Thanks! I don’t know the name, just took the cheapest fabric I could find. Just make sure it isn’t too tightly woven so that the glue can flow in it a bit
Can you make out side furniture with out so many tools
Great job Ollari's! I really liked your music and great ideas! What was the finish you were using? Was it some kind of oil, thanks.

Very cool video thanks 🎸 what was the name of the drill attachment that made the hole in the log please?
It’s called a forstner bit
@ 5:08 what do you call that boring tool? Thanks!

Very nice! What is the fabric you used for the long centerpiece?
I want to attach 1/4" thick rounds directly to a painted wall. Any ideas on how to do that? Glue?
Maybe put some clear varnish on the back side of the wood and use some double sided tape?
We've been making these for years
Cool!
Thx!
I can’t find the first song anywhere. Maybe I’m not looking in the right place. Can anyone help?
im a beginner, what kind of wood did you use for the tealigh holders and the bigger holder? its got beautiful colours
I'm not sure either we call it acacia but someone told me that it's called black locust in the US.
