The year 2023 was a horrible year for me! My husband was diagnosed with cancer. Life is short! Makes you put everything into perspective. Be happy and let go of things that steal your joy!

I love every second of your vlogmas, but the chatting and sharing advice is definitely my favorite part.
The last 6 month has been rough and intense in my life, one thing after the other without any breathing time to recover from the last one.
Your comments really hit home. I learned in the past 6 months, although some people might call you selfish, it is not healthy not to put you first, specially with family.
To share the same blood doesn’t mean that you have to lose yourself and give the priority to others just because “we are family”
Thank you for your kind words, sometimes I feel guilty and feel the need to give permission to myself to feel happy.

Hi Christopher, I hope you see this. I’m not yet through the video, but I wanted to share some information. My little shipoo (Izzy) is 18 1/2. She has been suffering with the same thing as Bubbas. I have a good friend who’s older chocolate lab (Dexter) had the same issue. She took her dog to the vet and the dr. gave him an LIBRELA injection. Dexter had a few months of injections shots (one per month) and he goes back just as needed now. Dexter is a new pup again. I called our vet to inquire about Izzy as she is a little dog. He said it would most likely help her a lot. Izzy has an appointment for an exam and an injection next week and I can’t wait. It’s heartbreaking to see her like this. I wanted to share this with you in case you wanted to call Bubbas dr to inquire for him. ❤️🐶

I just read up on Librela and will be asking my vet about it for my 12 yo beagle/basset, Clark Griswold. Thanks so much for mentioning it! Clark currently takes 2 doses a day of a prescription NSAID. Wish they had it for human OA too, I’d take it.

Life is too short & I’m finally learning it’s ok to make healthy changes & surround myself with those who are genuine & appreciate me for me!
I understand about taking time for yourself. I’m a giver which sadly seems to attract takers. I’ve had to let go of so called friends I’ve had for many years because of how empty I felt from giving and giving of myself and them actually expecting it. Cheers to loving yourself 🥂.

I confess I was a snooper at Christmas time. One year I found suede jackets for my sister and me hidden way in the back of my brother's closet. Christmas came and went and there were no suede jackets under the tree. I wasn't sure how to remind my Mom about the jackets without her knowing that I snooped. I finally told her my best friend received a new coat for Christmas and then she remembered!!! You have so many wonderful festive outfits for your party it's hard to pick one. I love them all but was really drawn to the blue striped shirt with sequins and the white french cuffs with navy tuxedo pants. Whatever you pick you must film yourself all ready for the party!! OMG I was a huge snooper! As I've aged (74 now) I've become less social, I love my close friends but I say "no" to people who I really can't say I enjoy spending time with. I have a horse and would rather be at the barn than go to some event. I feel like the world has gotten so crazy and life is short. I'm glad you are putting yourself first as well.

I feel the same way about pleasing people. I used to worry if I was enough or did I say the right things. Now at 61…but the change happened in my 50’s, I came to realize life is too short to not put yourself first.
I feel the sparkly shirts are more appropriate for NYE. I love the ice blue one and the white sparkle ones. I love the red plaid and pleather idea for your christmas party. My husband finally found a great bottled balsamic reduction that he loves.... saves me a LOT of time in the kitchen. No one should postpone their own happieness, Christopher. I'm so happy for you to come to this realization.

If Mabel isn't the most perfect dog I've ever seen, I'll eat my hat! My husband swears by one of those light things for those painful pimples under the skin. You just hold the light against the pimple for about a minute and it stops it in its tracks (as it were 😆). Lots of festive love from our family to yours!

A dab of plain white toothpaste on the pimple, leave it overnight then wash off in morning, dries it out.

I agree w/ you about that couple of yrs. 2020 I got a job I really enjoy as covid hit.I really hated the mask but I wore it and got the shot. 2021 our mother had AFIB and passed 55 days later. Because of covid when couldn't be w/ her for a lot.. Then I 2021 April I fell and dislocated my left shoulder and needed surgery, 5 months of rehab and praticing my royal wave at work. LOL. Made more money this year but spent it all on cost of living, I give my problems to God and he sees me and my twin sister through. We have a roof over our heads and we now good things are coming. May you and yours have a peaceful christmas.

I love wallpaper but like you, only in certain places. I did a complete Reno on my Master Bath and did use wallpaper. I am very proud of the choices I made. Over a year later I still can’t find the perfect rug to break up the tile 😂

I was a big time snooper! I used to slice the tape with a knife, slide the box out & open it then slide the box back in and perfectly re-tape the paper! 🤦🏻♀️

Christopher put toothpaste on the pimple before you go to bed. It must be paste and not gel. Works well.
If you have any type of clay masks, try to dab some on and leave overnight- draws up impurities and takes down swelling, double whammy. I'm also learning it's healthy to protect my peace. P.S. the last shirt, white and silver.

On another note, have you tried the blemish patches on your under the skin pimple? I feel like they help.

You are wrong about Mabel doing no wrong. My 10 month old English lab got into the dirty clothes and chewed up a dish towel. It caused an obstruction in his intestine which was removed. He tore the incision open and even the best vet in town couldn't save him. He died of sepsis.
