I feel like you’re venting about your colleagues 😂
😂😂😂😂
Hahahahaha for real!!
Nope, this is unsurprisingly accurate for those in the medical field.
His colleagues watching his vid:👁👄👁
i haven't even finished high school yet , why am I watching this ?
I'm not even in med school
sophomore year yo
Literally me rn. And it’s midnight
Mei Mei I’m not even in high school yet
Detox lol same
This video deserves a part 2
Please do Surgical oncology, neurosurgery, ENT etc.
Awesome video man!
Maybe pediatrics as well?
Paediatric surgeons from what I've seen are like kids themselves.... one paediatric surgeon I knew had an extremely high pitched voice like he didn't hit puberty...
averagejoe usually a farce they put on, it lets kids put their guard down a bit and increases trustworthiness in the eyes of the patient
May be urology also
i know!!! I want to do neurosurgery and he didn't mention that lol
I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a "medical" video. Keep up the great work!
3 plastic "surgeons" dislike this video. Also Dr., you forgot to add in about Neurosurgery
hahaah i know i'll have to do another!
Good stuff! Please Keep the videos coming! They are great for motivation when taking a study break from gross anatomy, and I wonder what the heck have I gotten myself into... lol
Buck Parker, M.D. Do it already dude.
I stand with all the people asking for a part 2 with the other surgerical specialties!
search microsurgery before you insult plastic surgery ;)
That plastic surgeon one sounded like a lowkey diss towards dr. Cat
Edit1: 😂😂 the breast surgeon had me dying
Omg. As a OR nurse of 16 years, you're spot on. You missed Neurosurgeons. They love to listen to rock, alot are tall for some reason, some can be egotistical, drive the Ferrari's but I gotta say, love to work in that specialty. Oh and transplants surgeons, for being so sleep deprived and under alot of pressure, they are the nicest, most humble group of doctors. It goes with their personality of really wanting to help people. I know a few who have persomally driven an hour in their own cars to pick up organs. So they're not always traveling like divas in private jets. Anyhooo, with that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. You are adorbs and hilarious!
He was spot on, I'm going into orthopedics!
I like the humor, Doctor. Makes the topic less scary. Planning to be a cardiothoraic surgeon and i was a bit scared when you said it was a little challenging but since the operations they have seem to be same most of the time that is from you, it gave me little confidence. I'm still 16 and in High school, so I still have ways to go, oh and btw.. subscribed!
I got to shadow an orthopedic surgery team and i swear your description had me thinking about that specialty before you mentioned the name
My youngest wants to go to med school and one day become a neuro trauma surgeon. Your example of the type of personality she should have is SPOT ON!!!! :)
General and trauma surgery is for me because I like to throw shit and tell everybody else that they are stupid and plus I like to ski! Lol
lol
Right, being in 8th grade, I don’t even know if I’ll be a surgeon, but it’s always been a dream job of mine. This video was pretty helpful toward my presentation
general trauma surgeons make 400,000 a year what are you talking about "no ferrari"
Yeah cause they are paying 35% of that 400k in federal taxes, then comes the states taxes....soon that 400k becomes 250k....its sad really. And people don't realize that:(
250k is still a pretty fantastic income, even paying off student loands.
True, but its still a very ridiculous amount taken in taxes considering how taxes are used:( And not to mention the schedule. Its quite different then a normal 9-5, unless your in derm of course!!!
I mean.. Thats Porsche / Mercedes money...DEFINETLY not Ferrari
@@Callmemsla it is ferrari money...ever heard about leasing/financing? You dont need to be a millionaire to drive a ferrari/lambo
Liked the way you explained cardiothorasic surgery..
First you have to have no fear of blood.
This video reminded of all the reasons why I #1) do not trust 98% of surgeons, because they didn't get into medicine to help people, they got into it for the money, women, status, etc.. and #2) Many surgeons don't see patients as actual human beings (brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles) they see them as a number, another notch on their belt, another achievement.
I prefer those that genuinely entered into medicine because they desperately have a need to serve others...not for their own glory.
Officially terrified of surgeons now
The way you commenting on each specialty is funny as hell 😂😂😂😂
What about when you like to stitch up things?
This is the best thing I have ever seen. Thank you sir for making me laugh my ass off.
I’m guessing the last
Eg. is you? .🤣🤣🤣Boob doc tho!!! 🤣😂🤣
how can you get a double-board certification on to different things? like GS and CS or CS and transplant.
fellowships
Buck Parker, M.D. thank you!
Came here for confirmation, always knew I wanted to become a plastic surgeon 😂❤
I just found this guy... god I love him
I freaking love this man!!!! ❤️🙌🏼
The plastic surgery part and 7:55 is why I just subbed. Awesome stuff, still think I want to do plastics though... Hahaha!
Wait wait wait why is the orthopedic specialist a fucking Arnold/Highschool bully hybrid ? Lmao
idk but that's just what they are...
My new favourite account !
am stuck between orthepidic and plastic surgery
I like this version of you
Aw man, why would you not mention Neurosurgery? I was waiting for that one
You forgot Neurosurgery!!
lol, plastic surgery can be extremely stressful, you get to deal with weird people who will sue you if they are still ugly after you changed their nose tip a bit. Blepharoplasties are fucking hard. Also there is reconstructive surgery and also even a general surgeon can do boobs and asses if he wants
The Orthopedic got me. I’m the complete opposite but I still got a laugh out of it.
Cool... What specialty should somebody choose if his/her personalities are a little introvert, tech-lovers, like a little challenge with a low risk of patient's death, dislike to have his/her time taken much a day (
pathology!!! no death risk!!! hahaha. no but seriously, good pay, low hours, little risk, sort of techie.
Thank you doc😀... And may i know what is the easiest surgeon of all ? Haha ... Bcs I think I'd like to do something directly to my patients as a doctor like what surgeons do ..
Urology
rad onc
you left out the ultimate country club life, ophtho
hahaah tru dat
guess ima be a general surgeon, that’s what i wanted before watching this anyway.
Cardiothoracic surgery isn't just easy. You're constantly seeing new things, yeah you might see a few cases a lot but it won't be basic and routine Everytime.
Trauma or neuro. I would love the adrenaline rush of being a trauma surgeon, but I have family with Alzheimer’s and I would love to help people in similar situations. I have a few years to decide.
This camera of yours must have been built into the car lol. It did NOT move! Good quality
Should I not go into surgery because I have really shakey hands?
i think i want to be a general surgeon, but maybe cardiothoracic. I'm not sure yet, but I'm sure med school will help me decide.
Can’t stand residents or doctors who are so full of themselves, but then you talk to them and they suck.... be humbled bc in the end we all will die. Kindness is the best medicine
Can you be more than one type of surgeon.ei..plastic surgeon and emergancy surgeon...and please do the video on picking your medical specialty, thank so much stay blessed bro.
why'd i know cardiothoracic before u said it
Dude you are hilarious, decent Arnold accent. 😂👍🏼
You need another 1 with a female perspective!
Did he mention being a neurosurgeon
great vid doc!!
The transplant surgeon bit😂😂😆 deaddd
i like this doctor, says it like it is. no BS. hahaha
What about neurosurgery ?
How did i JUST find your account, unreal!! What type of Dr. are you by the way?
Emergency & Trauma Surgeon
Okay I see now! Ive been purge watching your videos so i just found out! You're a beast, you tell it like it is and have a great sense of humor! I'm currently a Junior at Michigan State University, hopefully we cross paths one day in the operating room!
thank u soooo much man! so glad u like the videos!
Wait don't cardiothoracic surgeons make more than plastic surgeons?
Also this video made my month. Great Job!
Yes CT surgeons do.
How about neurosurgery?
The way I feel connected to this guy....LMAO
This is the funniest video I’ve ever watched
Where does ped surg come in ?
Waited the whole video for neurosurgery 😂 maybe next time. (I want to become a neurosurgeon but ament one yet lol)
Disappointing for plastic surgeons lol I’ll never choose it
My first choice would be cardio thoracic and second neurosurgery
Was there ever a part 2 of this video?!! Would have loved to hear what you have to say about surgical oncology. But meeh..who am I kidding? It's probably gonna be general surgery 😝
Why no neurosurgery
You forgot neurosurgery
Part 2 please!
Lol l know you were joking about a lot in the video but Would you say Cardiothoracic isn’t that exciting since you said they do the same surgeries after a while? Could it be tedious?. General seems interesting because of the Variety of things that you do as a surgeon. That sounds great.
Doc, you're making me think about getting into general and trauma. 😂 no shit. Haha
that is hilarious...haha. Great video, keep them coming!
You showed us age is just a number
Don’t all doctors make a good amount of money. Like 150 k plus at least right?
I'm not even a medical resident or something but damn I guess right with the plastic surgery XD
Cash flows strong as a doctor.. is he a neurosurgeon?
Hahaha!!! Love this video!! Thanks for the tips!!
Are you a cardiac surgeon?
this guys awesome
Apart from the sarcasm.... Omg.....I'm changing from orthopaedic surgery to general. I was on the fence about it. ..but I'm soooooooooo a general surgeon..... Also most orthopaedic surgeons I know are daft .."most"!!!
The breast surgery one made me laugh haha
Cosmetic surgeon
I nearly pissed myself after watching this 😂😂😂😂
what about ophthalmology
I am a 4th year international medical student and i want to get certain about a specialty and start preparing for MRCP.. apart from helping people i also want my hardwork to pay off in shit loads of money... so what specialty should i go for ? Coz i am flexible like that.
Holy fuck this video this great. Subscribed 🙌
Urology?
As a current plastic surgery resident, I laughed pretty hard during the plastic surgery bit.
Kevin Jubbal, M.D. lol
Kevin Jubbal, M.D. hey Kevin I need help Vic I want to be one about to go into my 2nd year of college
John Okoh hun if you're in your 2nd year of college you may need to wait...till you get in med school.
I would worry about specialties when you get into med school! In college focus on putting in a shit ton volunteer hours (clinics for example), do well in all of your classes for your major and start looking at MCAT practices. You have plenty of time on this kind of stuff. @@johnokoh4611
not anymore though 😬
Yup he basically just summed up every character in grey’s anatomy
lmao
hitting on nurses MARK SLOAN
Lmao Reminds me of Mark
I naively assumed that this video would be useful...
Ray M.D. I feel ya
LMFAOAOAOOA
Same :/
I thought it was kinda helpful, sort of.
Me too hahaha
"Fem-Fem, then Fem-Pop, then the Chop Chop." xD
😂🤙
Describes it perfectly honestly
bruh when he said " if you wanna dive a Ferrari and be popular with the celebrities" I automatically knew he meant plastics lol
Haha
Double scrubbed my first (FOUR) vascular surgeries. The only person that almost died was me. From stress and 74 coffees.
LMAO gotta love the "bring backs"
@@Maria-pr1ez i am a 25 year old doc and i just graduated med school and will start my vascular surgery training soon. My advice for you young lady is to always follow your passion and what you love. The closer you get to your goal everything will become clear. So if you like helping people and want to become a doctor study hard until you reach med school. In med school you can try all the different specialties. You can be a surgeon for a month, a lung doctor the second, or whatever you want to try. At this point you will know what fits you. Best of luck on your journey!
says its sarcasm, but not actually sarcasm, lmao love it
Lmfaoo an accurate breakdown, esp the plastic surgery. waiting for the medicine one! Great video, keep it up doc!
If you want to never be mentioned in any of these lists, because people always forget about your specialty, but still do awesome and technically challenging surgery, then go into Urology.
Or neurosurgery 😂
God bless you
Dude i wanna become a cardiac surgeon and you just punched me right in the face so hard i cant stop laughing 😂😂🤦🏻♀️
Please do a video on medical specialities(non surgical) based off someone's personality.
lmao this guy makes me want to be a surgeon
Johnny Suomu do it dude
Please be careful, doctor. You're always making vids while driving hehr
Kavinda Jayawardane hasn’t he ever seen Dr Strange? 😛
I predicted the trauma and plastics bit... Made me laugh.
Wow that must've been really tough.
My opinion CT surgeons are super focused. Plastic surgeons are the creative ones. Orthopedic, they are really bad ass, neuro (which you forgot) they are really calm. Pediatrics are good with kids. And trauma surgeons also known as ER surgeons, are really good under pressure basically quick thinkers (Just my opinion)
Sandrina Yousif
However the hardest of all is probably being a neurosurgeon it ain’t easy but it pays really well
Beside they are the true badasses cuz everyone else is a pussy when it comes to the brain
Paige Myers oh I know pediatricians who are not good with anyone lol maybe they chose the wrong profession...
wb general??
Sandrina Yousif hello did everyone forget cardiothuracic
@@justin_3156 that is what CT stands for
This guy brings the shade!!! Especially when he talks about plastic surgery
You miss the mst important one, the one lead me here :((( what about neurosurgery
