    I think its great to have different perspectives on primitive technology from around the world. No need for only one person to show one way. Good to have many methods to compare and contrast.

    Fascinating and very well-made video, thanks! Not sure where you shot this, but it looks like Thailand or Cambodia? Do these people teach their skills to outsiders? I have volunteered with Thai forest rangers in southern Thai forests, and this video perfectly reflects their extensive knowledge of the forest's resources, and their crazy level of skill, patience and determination. Not to mention gracefulness: notice how he does everything barefoot, slowly, deliberately... most of us would have gashes all over our feet from stepping on sharp twigs and thorns, and we'd be cursing and puffing. On our age of rampant high-tech taking over our lives and dulling our senses, videos like this are a precious resource. Thanks again!

      this is all they know..they live everyday like this for most of asian in laos, thailand, china, vietnam till the city got modernize and technology influence them, but even now in laos in the hilltop where my mom's relative lives, they still make everything from the forest, thatch house,bamboo sliding, hunting and farm every day for food.. life is only really good for every westerners, that we forgot the real life we used to lived once, so reliable on technology and buy everything we need at a store, but these people would be lucky to eat meat like us..majority of people living in laos doesn't get to eat meat unless they trap it..they're lucky if every 6months or a year when the new year start, that's when they'll get to eat meat if they have an animal to slaughter or know someone close and being invited to one only.

    Lars we are headed the way of the 90s, But as said, below people don't realize it as it has been slow. I have lived in this small rural town for over 70 yrs and have never seen so many empty houses. The littler villages have lost their young people and there appearances are a like you have shown.
    Rural people have always been for less fancy and more for just what they can afford at the time.
    My wife went to a country 1 room school for here first 5 yrs. before they closed it down and started busing the children to town school. She was very well schooled and did very well .
    Thanks so much for the view and ensight.

    Very interesting. I appreciate your ability to make a shelter, and catch fish and then cook the fish. You should be complimented on your channel. Many American survivalists could learn a lot about how to live off the land due to your efforts to educate youtube watchers. Once again, thank you for filming these kinds of life experiences.

    This is how each and every one of us should be living. Humans were not made to live in the city and be slaves to the government. We don’t need to go to school, work, watch tv. All of those are none sense and just makes our life miserable. We should just be chilling in nature like this guy. Life is so simple I don’t get why society is making it so complicated.

    Neat video, he seems quite comfortable in the jungle or forest. Good to see people are keeping landskills at least a few. Our Lenape reservation nearby has reed and bark longhouses on a river they lived on for centuries. They look quite comfortable, and the nearby large creek and the forest offer paw paws and berries, fish, crawl fish and reptiles for meat, and the woods are crawling with deer. I can see how a certain number of native people could live healthy in this area.

    so, 2 questions. You could argue that being a tropical environment, keeping the fish alive for longer would keep it fresh until cooked, but why didn't you at least dispatch them before putting them on the fire, if not to be humane, then at least to stop it jumping around, and second, why didn't you clean and gut the fish first? I know i would prefer my fish with no organs. And before any keyboard warriors decide to butt in, i'm very clearly asking questions, not making accusations. I am curious, not a know it all.

      The fish were already dead, the jumping around are muscle spams. If you just caught the fish they will do that even is they are cleaned (guts taken out).

    • @deno2649
      @deno2649 6 лет назад

      I've always heard that most fish 4" and under don't require gutting but those were bigger of course.

    • @dablaugntximntxub2318
      @dablaugntximntxub2318 5 лет назад

      the thing in most part of asia they don't clean the fish, they cooked them whole...the heat will not affect the fish taste from the gut etc...i know this may sound a little weird to us westerners, but to them it's quite ok..i even had a chance to eat some of fish cooked like that.. all you do is pill of the outer shell and eat the meat leave the gut intact..at first i wasn't sure, but i ate it it was fine, but just hard to get used to it only.
