Filipinos are taught the Golden Rule since they're young: "Do unto others what you want others to do unto you." The mindset is, "what if I or one of my family members is in the same predicament? I would want someone to help me or them out also ."
There was a time when I was in a jeepney and I forgot that I have no coins with me so I asked the strangers if they have a changed for my 1000 peso bill because I’m certain that the driver won’t have a changed for that amount. And then there was this girl that I asked if she have other bills to exchanged with my money and she said “no.” Instead, she paid for my fare without asking something in return. Even it was only a small amount compare to the money I have, I feel very luck that someone really offered to me without expecting anything in return and I think that’s beautiful. ❤️
Tony Martinez just be careful and don't expect too much. Yes, majority are good people but there are always people in every place who are mean, greed, and who will abuse your kindness. Thieves are also everywhere. So always be careful too in trusting people.
Key thing is have fun and enjoy here but be wary of your environment at some point (mostly it depends upon the place you are in). Just like every country there is a dark side on the other side of the coin but basically, people here are very much willing to help and are hospitable. In a bunch of any fruit there is always a defected part.

I’m a local and one time I visited a friend in Clark Pampanga a nearby province. On going back I came to the toll and realized I left my bag with my purse and all in it. I stalled for a while near the toll hoping for a miracle. A while later, a driver asked what happened and after I explained my predicament, he handed me money for the toll. Yes, Filipino empathy and kindness is true.
I'm happy, this is a proof that filipino empathy isn't reserved for foreigners, and don't you just have that feeling of wanting to give back the kindness you received
If one thing, I’m thankful that being Filipino gave me the ability to cry, and cry for those who are fictional, strangers, animals, things and those who needs it the most. You can’t deny that when born in the Philippines, your heart is where your home is.
We emphasize because we know how it feels to have nothing and most of us did not have the opportunity that other people have to give them advantage in life. we know and we understand when people goes through the same difficulties we experienced, and this is something that the worlds need. Apathy for me is sin that some people commit but never felt wrong about it. World needs to care for each other and that's how understanding starts basically. 😊

It's quite normal for Filipinos to not ask for compensation, being humble enough to let something as feeble as money go. Humble, compensation, wholesomeness, and empathy, love is what makes humanity, humanity, and that makes the Philippines.
When I was in college, my class just got back from a field trip, and it was late at night. While we were waiting for jeepney rides to go to our homes, a teen approached all of the student groups to beg for food. "baka may sobra po kayong pagkain?" (do you have extra food?) When he was done collecting the food. He approached a family sleeping at a waiting shed (like a small covered bus stop). He left all the food he'd collected, then he walked away. Apparently, he does not know the sleeping family, but just felt sorry for them that he begged food from us for them. --- The world is a richer place, when even those who are poor looks out for those who are poorer than them.

I Love how they protect by parenting each other. Related or not! And so much more. All cultures are marvelous indeed!. The philipinos take care of one another like no other 👍💓. Of course all cultures have they're good and not so good sides. Our own also 😒. If we focus on the good sides of each other, we will see the wonderful truth in reality! All people are basically the same. Skin colors, diff beliefs, language diffs...all of it, is not reason to pass n believe in negative assumptions. Learn to embrace each other's cultures, look past or through any if at all previous, negative thoughts about others. Philipinos go above and beyond in so many ways. Admirable culture on the most part. I'm on a personal mission to encourage anti racism. RUclips is a great start.
We also care a lot about our image and what other people think of us. That’s why sometimes, we are coerced to be kind and empathetic, especially towards foreigners. Haha. But yes, I feel like Filipinos are usually more emotional and sensitive to other people’s needs. There was a viral photo recently of a leukemia patient riding the MRT on his way to a television network to seek help. Instead, the people in the train started chipping in money for him so he can have the diagnostics exams he needed. Filipinos understand what it feels like to have hardships, so when we come across someone who needs help, we are usually helpful towards them. Because we know how they feel. But of course, all countries have their bad apples.
It's true!!! One day after a long day of work. As i was about to to pay a jeepney driver i was soooo shock at finding out that i lost my fair. I was about to cry because i don't know how will i go home without it! I have no cellphone, no coins to call home to when i whisper to the driver " sir, i lost my fair and i can't pay yòu to ride your jeepney and i really need to go home. After saying that, he just smiles at me and said nothing. Then he ask where would you want to go ? I told him the place then he smiles and said relax. I was soooo relieved!!!! That is why i love my country more!!!!
Happened to me once, I was going home from work the driver just said "that's all right, you don't have to pay for it, that happens." I could never be prouder.
Yes, especially if we see that your a good person and respectful to us, definitely we'll help you out. But for some other tourist which kinda disrespectful, no thanks
My husband’s friend initially got so weirded why I’m too nice and giving. A lot doubted it thinking that we have a malicious motive. My husband have to reassure his friend that it’s normal in our culture to be that generous and giving. If you are our visitor in a traditional Filipino family, it’s common that you will receive the best of everything because you are a visitor!
They speak an island language (Filipino/Tagalog), mixed with Asian languages like Chinese and mixed with European words like Spanish. Even their languages are interesting and shows that they had experiences with many other people and cultures.

What a kind soul you are ! Empathy I’ve never experienced in the US. Similar-ish experience...I attended a conference in South Beach Florida a few years back. I checked out and left my luggage with the concierge. When I came back to collect it, with my claim stubs and all...lo and behold...they gave my luggage to someone else ! Did I get any help after their stuff up? No !!!!! I had all my important articles in there like passports, cash, clothes ! The hotel is called Red by the way. One of the more pricey places to stay at but no heart !
Yeah.. im Filipino and im living in philippines.. but still im always surprize and amazed everytime i experience the kindness of my fellow Filipino.. Specially when i go Local Travel and im not familiar in the place, they actually help me and offer me their Home to stay for a day for free without expecting payment or exchange.. and they dont have a single doubt to let me stay in their place without knowing if im a good or bad person.. they just want to help.. thats why i love my Country..

Thanks for this observation. I am always hopeful that ALL FILIPINOS will look to all the positivities, despite what we lack. Contrary to what the others said, that our country is too bizarre to change. I am always hopeful and thankful to anyone who would see the Philippines and its People (the Filipinos) as emphatic, kind, hospitable, talented, and loving. Again, thank you and God bless.

Hi Tom! Your observations about us PILIPINOS are even those bad guys who lived and earned money in illigal ways because of no other choice to survive and no formal education if you touch their heart you will see good things from them, because PILIPINO people are all taught by our forefathers Good Manners, Etiquette and Love and understand one another be humble, help others in needy, be respectful be hospitable to strangers, my favorite Do Unto Others So that Others Do Unto You! and most all God Fearing! share blessings to others, that's a main Characteristic Traits of We Pilipinos. Stay Safe thank you!

My deepest gratitude to you Sir!!! Love you for loving us Filipinos and I do hope others too! Thanks for the video and God bless you and your family always!!!
Its true that us Filipinos have some qualities and characteristics that other people from other countries dont poses.Us Filipinos are unique, most of us are kind but there are still some of us who are not as kind and honest as others. 'Hospitality. This is the most common terminology that describes how Filipinos welcome foreigners or tourists who visit the country. ... For Filipinos, it is a pleasure and the country's honor to accept foreigners as visitors and build genuine relationships and friendship with them.' 'To Filipinos, being hospitable is giving more than your best to make any guest feel at home as much as possible. “Mi casa es su casa” is taken literally, and they want to make the guests feel as comfortable as possible. And in a Filipino's mind, comfort has a lot to do with food, and lots of food at that.' Its more fun in the Philippines.I hope more tourist would come and visit the Philippines when the COVID Pandemic is over.I wish you all the best🙏💕🇵🇭

Thanks dude you are.feeling filipinos genuine courtesy and friendliness. Stay safe.
Nice to you because you have that good experience in the philippines and i'm proud to here that as a pilipino

This video is full of positivity. Thank you Tom for sharing. We have to remember man is basically good.
I don't know those two people who gave a thumbsdown. Maybe a HELLISH creation from HEDEs
Yes we do...well it’s Pilipino ....our hearts always in a center of what’s GOD want us...if we didn’t our heart in mind felt with guilt and sin. #DoItwhatsRight😍
Wow! I’m Filipino. I’m amazed by how nice they are to you and not so much to fellow Filipinos.
*"Filipinos are Empathetic"*

Respect and trusti are synonimous to empathy...Filipinos are but dont overlook or take them for granted, bcoz once trust is taken for granted or betrayed...it will never be the same again.
Hi Tom! Your observations about us PILIPINOS are even those bad guys who lived and earned money in illigal ways because of no other choice to survive and no formal education if you
touch their heart you will see good things from them, because PILIPINO people are
all taught by our forefathers Good Manners, Etiquette and Love and understand one another be humble, help others in needy, be respectful
be hospitable to strangers, my favorite Do Unto Others So that Others Do Unto You!
and most all God Fearing!
share blessings to others,
that's a main Characteristic
Traits of We Pilipinos. Stay Safe thank you!

Thank you for appreciating us....
We Filipino's are really known of being one of the most hospitable people in the planet...some people don't have a big and nice house ,but always willing to accept visitors, and always willing to help out to other people....Filipino's are known for BAYANIHAN, means helping each other....we always help because we know how it's feel to be in need...
yes it'ss good to have humanity and compassion as a person apposed to a robotic person with no feelings, protocol, "I'm just doing my job", I like and preffer people with compassion.
Thank's for the appreciation
Tom we Filipinos value ones life we know what is to become hard since childhood we help people in any possible way we can we were taught to become good Christian and have fear in God yes we comfort people in need thanks Tom

Thank you so much for making this video..
Its true that us Filipinos have some qualities and characteristics that other people from other countries dont poses.Us Filipinos are unique, most of us are kind but there are still some of us who are not as kind and honest as others.
'Hospitality. This is the most common terminology that describes how Filipinos welcome foreigners or tourists who visit the country. ... For Filipinos, it is a pleasure and the country's honor to accept foreigners as visitors and build genuine relationships and friendship with them.'
'To Filipinos, being hospitable is giving more than your best to make any guest feel at home as much as possible. “Mi casa es su casa” is taken literally, and they want to make the guests feel as comfortable as possible. And in a Filipino's mind, comfort has a lot to do with food, and lots of food at that.'
Its more fun in the Philippines.I hope more tourist would come and visit the Philippines when the COVID Pandemic is over.I wish you all the best🙏💕🇵🇭
