Not always true. I loved my Dad & he loved me. We might not have always seen eye to eye on certain things, but he was always there for me. He listened to me. He was my rock. He was my best friend. Then three or four years ago he died from cancer & suddenly, he was gone. My life has completely changed in ways even I could not imagine back then. It just doesn’t feel the same without my Dad here.

I lost an uncle to cancer recently and what happened with him in the last couple days of his life renewed my belief that there really is an “afterlife” when we pass away. My Aunt (my mom’s sister) & Uncle are very religious, I grew up in the Catholic Church, going to Catholic grade school, so I’ve always had a firm set of beliefs, but when I lost my paternal grandparents I started to question things. Even more so when I got a job at the Children’s Hospital as a Police Officer. I became friends with a little boy (3 years old) his dad’s and sister, he was born with a serious medical condition so I saw them often, his dad’s were smokers so I’d see them alone or with A in a little wagon with his IV pole. I grew quite attached to him and was so happy he was healing so well. Unfortunately he caught an infection that his sick little body couldn’t fight and he passed away. Me and my friend/co worker (not an officer) went to say goodbye to him, afterward we got in the elevator and I lost it. Crying and yelling that I didn’t understand why God would take that little boy or any of the kids in the hospital, and lost some faith in religion. So my Uncle was really sick, his cancer had spread throughout his body. But the day before he passed he told his daughter (my cousin) that he saw Pete (his brother in law who passed away in 2016) and that he’d been seeing Jesus & God a bunch in the last couple days. My Uncle loves to make people smile but he loves God more than anything so I know he wasn’t lying. He passed away and the day of his burial my Aunt/his wife fell and broke her pelvis, she’s also had dementia for 5-6 years and is now in a home. She recently told her daughters that she wished she died when her husband died. And recently told them that there’s a man up in the corner of the ceiling that is smiling and waving to her, that it’s her husband. So I believe our loved ones prepare us to be called home so that we’re not scared when God calls us. It’s comforting, for me, to know that we do reunite with our loved ones when we leave our earthy body’s

I am really sorry for your loss, but I still must tell you that the Bible teaches dead do not know anything, they sleep in their graves, do not realize what is going on with their loved ones. I lost my 33 year old daughter to cervical cancer just over two years ago.... Its a cancer that is almost always a death sentence.
Im so sorry for all these folks, but the cervical cancer brought me to tears.
I am truly sorry. It is so unfair. No one should die from this disease in the 21st century! They need to do more as a society to encourage screening and take it seriously. I am sending you love and compassion. 💜💟☮️
