I know I’m late to the party but this is a great video. I started playing again for the first time in almost 30 years, about 12 months ago. 30 min-3 hours a day for the last 145 days. It’s really starting to come together for me. Awesome video
I don't know.....It took me 2 and half months to learn all open chords and a lots of songs.... without teacher....just it keeps more the than 10-15 minutes every day. More like 3-4 hours every day. But it worth it! 🎸 Thanks, NationalGuitarAcademy!😁
I am 66 and been playing since August last year. I can know most of the open chords but switching between them properly with correct timing is not there. I can read tabs and play the notes but not the rhythm. It’s a bit of a pain as I saw my son on classical guitar go from starting to grade8 in 18 months. He was a grade 6 violinist when he started. It is fun learning though
@@octos_art not bad, I can’t hear if bends are in tune and still can’t play bar chords. I have old small hands. I have trouble with speed development but it has improved immensely. It’s still a lot of fun. I am 70 now nearly!!
There is not a human being a live that can learn guitar in 9 months practicing 5 minutes a day. If you do that math on that it doesn't even equate to 24 hours worth of practice. The 10,000 hour rule basically says you need to put in 10,000 hours to master something. To reach intermediate, which I would say is the level he is describing you need 1500 hours. 5 minutes a day for 9 months equates to about 22.5 hours. So don't believe this guy

I'm so glad to have found your channel. Very down to earth, without trying to get me to buy something.
Thanks for giving your very thoughtful insight into this common issue we all wonder about.

You can play any song terribly practicing 5 minutes a day for 9 months is likely what he meant to say
