So I wanted to say that I am impressed by the Niles Fire department. I am a 59-year-old patient at what used to be Avanti and is now known as Elevate Care Nursing Home 6840 W.Touhy Ave, I appreciate your empathy & compassion and your professionalism whenever you come here, and you actually know how to joke around without taking offense to it, unlike Chicago Fire Department ( jerks). I wish you all nothing but the best, and I know what A REAL HERO LOOKS LIKE & DOES. THEY WEAR RED & WORK AT NILES FIRE DEPT. Thank you and be safe out there.
I had my internship with Station 3 when I attended St. Francis Hospital Paramedic Program in 2010. It’s nice to see the station was remodeled. I graduated and spent my career as a Paramedic in Oklahoma City and Arizona. I now live in the Rocky Mtns of Colorado. I learned a lot at Niles, especially new recipes for lunch and dinner! The rib and pork tenderloin recipes are awesome!
Love the tour, Lt. Evan Schachtel. Good Job. Too bad, there is no way to get questions answered. Because even at 59 I have loads of them. But thank you! And it would be nice to have some up to date fire fighting videos from Niles.
