  • *Apologize for the audio cut out halfway through, the song was removed due to copyright* We finally finished the DIY complete house remodel of this double wide mobile home, and here are the before and afters! it was definitely a learning experience as usual; i only had 4 mental break downs through it so that was good...plus it ended up taking more time and costing more than we had originally expected but that's a lesson you gotta learn sometimes. We are both really excited to see how long it will take to sell (it's SOLD) but know either way we can look back and remember all the quality time we got to spend together on this project before I head off to PT school. It was also really satisfying to take the property from run down garbage to something someone will enjoy and call home. Anyways thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the before and afters on this 2001 4 bedroom 2 bath double wide mobile home - manufactured home in Texas.

Unfortunately this happens a lot. My mother was in the process of buying a very nice double wide in the early 2000s that had been abandoned like this house. It was full of junk, they (or the neighbors) had stolen all the pipes from the house, and there was just a terrible odor throughout the home. My mom, my aunt, mom's boyfriend and I all pitched in and got it cleaned up... then found termite damage the bank's inspector had 'missed' that made the whole building unsafe to live in. All that work for nothing.

Thanks for the love guys! Checkout my new video, I find a GUN underwater.
ruclips.net/video/ZzSdbs7ymxs/видео.html Thought I would answer some of the bigger questions on the house.
    1. The property SOLD for $126,000! Pretty insane. I would attribute that to the local market being inflated + it's a highly desired location to live.
    2. It took 5 months to remodel the entire house and get it on the market. Then it took another 3-4 months to get a contract on it and sold.
    3. My brother and I contracted some things out but did the majority of the work. We sometimes would have 2 or 3 people working, but a lot of the time it was just me.
-send me any questions if you're going to try flipping a mobile home and I'll try my best to answer them! Good luck to all the flippers out there

It's a much better choice than what was in there, and no more unsanitary than concrete, which is highly porous. But this is a trailer, not high end home. Their finishes were very appropriate to their price point.

What I hate the most is how some homeowners don't appreciate nor value what they have while others like me wish to have had one, a home to call your own.
Now if finances, old age or health prevents you from taking care of your home, sell or rent it; it's better than losing it.
I see so many abandoned homes when owners can't take care of it or have died because heirs can't agree on anything or help out. Shameful!
    It's a beautiful home now.

WOW how do they justify keeping insurance companies from de-evaluating them as they get older? can insurance companies cover them and the contents differently than a standard built house? Thanks.

You did a really great job on this flip. but as a purchaser and a mother cooks for her kids let me give you a tip for the next go-round. No woman in her right mind wants grouted tile on her countertops I'd only is it hard to keep clean but you can't roll out dough and cups don't set firmly on the countertop too many accidents happen. I know it was probably a cheap and easy fix because it was a product you could buy cheap but sometimes cheap isn't the way to go. If I'd walk through this house with the idea of purchasing it that would have been one big thing that would stop me from doing it because I know I'm going to have to tear it out and put something else in immediately.

      Yes I agree 💯
As that is what I have where I live now and I absolutely hate it.
When I make bread I have to do it on the table which is alot lower than my counter so it's really horrible.

Very nice job! Embrace your youth - it slips away rather fast. I remember when I was young how we just managed to gather up a bunch of people to get something done, pizzas and sodas to keep us going -- all in friendship. Today? Good luck trying to get someone to help you. You seem to have that gift in your lives. Embrace it.

#Approachthemike: I was asked by the "flip" you did on the double-sided(published in Jan. 2020). You did a lovely job on that home. It makes me want to cry when I see wreckage in a house that someone was blessed to have in the first place! I am 71 and have been living in my daughter and son-in-law's home. I would be happy with a much smaller version of a mobile home. I particularly love the new park models, but financially a decent used one would be wonderful. My husband, Greg died from cancer 8 yrs ago, and until then I had always had my own home and had all the fun of fixing the meals they loved. I have 4 boys and 1 girl. We live in a very nice home here in Indiana. Life is good of course, but some feelings you can't help. Just keep on doing what you do so well. When I can, I'll be looking for more info about anything you guys do. Sincerely, Teresa
