I note the roof panels on this vehicle. It would be much better if these were solar panels to charge the vehicle and increase its range.

Would solar panels increase the weight of the vehicle to negate their benefit?

Just to let you know Renault, there are mistakes on your UK website regarding the range for the Scenic. You claim combined consumption of 16.7kWh/62 miles, which is 3.71 miles/kWh, but a combined cycle range of 420 miles for a 60kWh battery. Not possible.
    60 x 3.71 = 223 miles.
For 420 miles range, with that efficiency, you’d need a battery of more than 110kWh…
I don’t think there’s an issue with the claimed efficiency since the Megane e-tech is indeed around 3.8-4.2 miles/kWh, which is pretty good for the size of the car.

Nice car, but for a car that's 87% recyclable, 100% electric at £37.5k, honestly wouldn't be surprised if people scrap the all electric hype u til 2050 when everything gets cheaper, and just keep with petrol and fuel alternatives, especially that car prices are through the roof, people buy second hand cars from 3-6 years ago, and with electric batteries , I doubt people will buy electric used unlike petrol, petrol is reliable and we have had them around just before horse travel died, electric 100% is a new concept still in its infancy until some form of at least 95% efficiency energy source comes about...
Put in perspective, petrol is more common but at a poor efficiency at 12-30% of energy stored to the wheels
Electric is a huge step up as EVs convert over 77% of the electrical energy from the grid to power at the wheels. Albeit having to spend your time waiting around to charge your car, which can actually be more costly because of energy prices hiking. Big trade off.
the biggest players are wind, geothermal, hydro and nuclear, but I doubt people will see volcanoes, nuclear fusion, water power and
