I'm surprised you didn't mention turning on dark mode to save battery. given this phone has an AMOLED, so when your wallpaper or menus are BLACK the phone doesnt render those pixels, saving battery.
dark mode does save battery life on an OLED display. But you can further improve on this by using a wallpaper with a lot of black, and using a launcher like Smart Launcher that uses a black theme.

I just started using my Flip 4 last night and today spent probably a couple of hours trying to figure out how to do selfies with the cover camera. All the other videos I saw talked about the feature but none of them showed HOW to set it up. Within the first minute or so of watching your video I learned that the power key is to actually be pressed rather than tapped! Thank you! I also learned several other features that will prove helpful. Excellent instructional videos!
Great vid just got my Flip, there is one more cover screen customization you can do, so instead of the stock selection background, I have selected a bunch of photos from my gallery to display behind the time. at 5:05 on the vid, if you click "Background Image" you can choose from gallery to personalize a bit more!

I just switched to the Z3 5g from a Galaxy 6😅The only reason is,they're ' turning off 'the 3g network and updates won't be provided to phones that can toggle down to 3g. My mom has a Galaxy 7 which she obviously purchased after me,and she's just now getting emails letting her know her phone will also stop working after the drop in service. If the phone still works, I'm not into buying a new one. Lol.
I noticed when Saki changed the clock a grey box popped up saying you can't change the background. It went away after a couple of seconds. When I do it the box stays for several minutes. This also happens when I add an app to the home screen. Is there a way to shorten the time it shows?
planning on getting the flip 4, don’t know how much of this is transferable to the 4 (quite a lot I imagine) but even tho is video was so eye opening!! A nice reminder to really explore your devices and have a look at what you can really do. Moving from apple to Samsung and can’t wait for the much improved customisation capabilities… as this is a important thing for me and my phone :)

Flip3 Cover screen not showing text messages: In "Settings", "Notifications", I have it set as "Detailed". In "Lock Screen", "Notifications," I have it set as "Details" and the "Hide content" is unchecked. In "App notifications", I have it checked for "All notifications"
It's more important not to drain the battery to really low than to charge it up to full. Depending on what type of battery, LiFePo4 can be charged to max all the time, although it shouldn't stay at 100% most of the time. Chances are the higher end phones come with Li-ion battery (for higher density), in which case just don't charge to max (stressing out the battery cell). At 85%, it should last at least 3 times as long. But most importantly, slow charging is better than charging to full, since fast charging degrades the cell more than full charging.
I really like Flip 3 and thinking about getting it, but small battery worries me a bit. I'm using Spotify a lot when working. How long battery lasts if you apply all energy saving tricks?

Awesome video, thanks for the tips, just got this phone Monday and love it, but the only negative I see so far is battery life is really bad, I charge it to 100 and literally 4 hours later I'm at 50% my Note 10+ with heavy use usually hits 50% by the late afternoon. I subscribed to your channel.

I keep it on battery saver and just find that I need to charge it twice a day. I have a portable charger I bring with me I I know I won't be by an outlet or my car. So with all that said if you want a less bulky device and you were ever a fan of the flip phones yes I recommend it.
There're several tips and tricks to extend battery life, most people carry portable chargers in their purses, as well as regular chargers in vehicles, and work desks. Therefore, I don't see this as an issue. It has a flip cool factor . I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone wanting to live with the flip phone nostalgia.
@Javi My initial comment I had the phone a couple days and was just shocked at how fast my phone died the first day and needing to charge twice a day vs once with my Note devices which is what I switched from. I recently revised my comment since I had time to watch video saving tricks, but it doesn't die as fast but if I end up using the phone a little more I have to charge it again, like I mentioned the phone in all weighs more positive than negative, otherwise I would've returned it.
I switched from an iPhone 12 to the Flip 3, and honestly it's basically the same lifespan of that iPhone. It only feels like a problem when you come from big phones with big batteries that you've gotten used to.

@@arryjassal the camera is the best I have ever had on a phone. The quality is amazing and so vibrant. The battery has been the worst, I only found out till after I bought it that because the phone is so thin since it folds, that means the battery is significantly smaller compared to other phones. So i have had to buy one of those power banks if I am doing lots of multitasking for most of the day, otherwise the battery dies. Another issue Ive had is the "bixby" voice feature was really over-sensitive, not sure if it was just my phone but literally anything you would say that didn't even sound like "bixby" would turn on the voice activation, which was really annoying, i ended up having to disable it completely so I cant do handsfree texting now. But overall it is a pretty good phone, in hindsight, and if I were to do it again I personally would not buy it again as I don't feel if was worth the money. I would probably go back to iphone for my next phone but thats just me haha. Anyways, hope this helped somewhat

Just love this FlipZ, its a small phone in my pockets but open has a more then enough screen for me. I think I would even mybe keep a bigger phone bcz the folding half your smarthphone. It s all being mobile but with big enough screen. And for the real business men the fold is another good device for them. Hey Saki That’s an awesome review. I admit I love this phone, haven’t got one but I want one next. I been on iPhones since 2011. I’m bored with them apart for the great cameras and obviously the secure part of the phone. Is this your daily driver?
After 6 months of use, couple of light lines showed up exactly where the phone folds and after a week or so, half of the screen started flashing an intermittent light exactly where the text box appears. Do I have to say that founding and touching the phone damages it?? Samsung service said that I water damaged the mother board witch isn’t true. Of course warranty does not cover it. I knew I would have headache with this phone but didn’t think I would burn my money like this. It should be illegal selling this phone. I can’t forget to say that with a minor drop, outside screen stops working. Look it up z flip second hand for sale, u won’t find one with that screen working
I'm about to get a flip 3. For anyone concerned about the battery and to anyone returning it because of the battery: Yes the battery is smaller. It's 3,300 mAh vs an average 4,000+ mAh of phones. It will not last you 2 days as perhaps the 22 ultra will. HOWEVER, within the first month of usage with the flip 3, it's learning your usage.. this depletes it a lot. This is normal. Your battery life improves over time as it adapts to your usage patterns and optimizes the battery life for you. That along with these tips, should easily last you a day.
Well, thank God I don't have "Device Protection" on my phone...the last thing I need is crap McAfee software. I learned YEARS ago to avoid that company like the plague on any of my devices, including my pc's. Norton antivirus, as well. I can certainly install my preferred antivirus app myself, thank you very much. One that isn't excessive bloatware that is in essence spyware itself.

You can actually choose up to 15 photos, not just 1 😁 and I read a comment somewhere that they can be gif, but I haven't tried that yet 😆

I don't have this phone but as of a year ago, I went from Apple to Samsung so some of these tips were incredibly helpful.

It s all being mobile but with big enough screen. And for the real business men the fold is another good device for them. I always had Iphone se or my last phone was a Iphone mini but when saw this phone I say okay I will go with this one and I love android also...

After 6 months of use, couple of light lines showed up exactly where the phone folds and after a week or so, half of the screen started flashing an intermittent light exactly where the text box appears. Do I have to say that founding and touching the phone damages it?? Samsung service said that I water damaged the mother board witch isn’t true. Of course warranty does not cover it. I knew I would have headache with this phone but didn’t think I would burn my money like this. It should be illegal selling this phone.
I can’t forget to say that with a minor drop, outside screen stops working. Look it up z flip second hand for sale, u won’t find one with that screen working

I'm about to get a flip 3. For anyone concerned about the battery and to anyone returning it because of the battery: Yes the battery is smaller. It's 3,300 mAh vs an average 4,000+ mAh of phones. It will not last you 2 days as perhaps the 22 ultra will. HOWEVER, within the first month of usage with the flip 3, it's learning your usage.. this depletes it a lot. This is normal. Your battery life improves over time as it adapts to your usage patterns and optimizes the battery life for you. That along with these tips, should easily last you a day.

Well, thank God I don't have "Device Protection" on my phone...the last thing I need is crap McAfee software. I learned YEARS ago to avoid that company like the plague on any of my devices, including my pc's. Norton antivirus, as well.
I can certainly install my preferred antivirus app myself, thank you very much. One that isn't excessive bloatware that is in essence spyware itself.
