Watching this in 2021 after the Framing Britney Spears documentary makes this song even more emotional than it already was. She had time frames to record albums promote those album's, other appearances, tours. She couldn't slow down.If they slow down it cost studios money, if they slow down people could forget about you. Record companies are the same way, by the time they finish one tour it's on to the studio to start the next album. Sadly that's why several in the industry turn to drugs and alcohol, or have to take breaks for exhaustion. Elvis Presley several others who had managers run their lives they weren't running them. It made me cry and spoke to me but I didn't know why. I lost my daughter years later and heard this again. The Lord was speaking to me again through this song and I have since given birth to 6 children and have never lost one agian. Every pregnancy was a walk of faith and brought me closer to God. This song literally prophesied my experiences with all of my children. I truly came to understand what God was doing with me through my babies. From time to time I come back to listen to remember what God has done. God uses people and I don't think people realize it. I'm not sure Britney even knew.

The song and video are all the more poignant with the upcoming release of her memoir “the Woman in Me” next week (I see most of the comments here are from several months ago), in which she is no longer inspired to make new music. There is one bombshell after another, particularly about her relationship with JT, but this to me, “Someday”, reveals her true gifts go much deeper. And they are considerable. This song was released a little after when I was outed out of the closet and ostracized by my church, friends and family... at 15 years old. I was made to go through conversion therapy, kicked out of my leadership role in my youth group and I’m still to this day not allowed to talk to my siblings on my fathers side (mom and him divorced when I was 4). I remember going to conversion therapy and praying so hard for it to work so that I could just be the son everyone around me wanted me to be. The only people that ever made me feel like I was perfect just the way I am.... My mom and Britney Spears. My mom was a hard working single mother who happened to be the black sheep of my family. She taught me the lesson that is the only reason I am alive today.... to go beyond reason to love. With that still, my childhood was more than turbulent and outside of being forced to partake in activities that did not interest me or nurture me.... outside of my mom, Britney nurtured me. She was the happiness in my childhood and was the voice that made me still believe, even when my my loneliness was killing me too... she made me feel understood, even when I didn’t understand that I was misunderstood.. When she released this and forced the world to see her as more than just a sexual object they could market... I started to understand. That in the end “it’s in you”. You are your truth. And just like she said before, people can take everything away from you but they can never take away your truth. And if they can’t, you are better off without them.

Watching this in 2021 after the Framing Britney Spears documentary makes this song even more emotional than it already was. She had time frames to record albums promote those album's, other appearances, tours. She couldn't slow down.If they slow down it cost studios money, if they slow down people could forget about you. Record companies are the same way, by the time they finish one tour it's on to the studio to start the next album. Sadly that's why several in the industry turn to drugs and alcohol, or have to take breaks for exhaustion. Elvis Presley several others who had managers run their lives they weren't running them. Britney sadly didn't have the right people around her to lead her into a different direction like some celebrities have. She was just another dollar sign for people and that's what took the the toll on her.
The last masterpiece of Britney before her life got screwed up. I was 11 back then, a big fan of Britney. It hurts me seeing the state she’s in right now :( one abortion, two children who don’t even stay with her, so many failed relationships, her abusive family….

Britney said that this song was in a way prophetic. And she wasn't fully sure why she wrote it. It's amazing because when I first heard this i was 16. It made me cry and spoke to me but I didn't know why. I lost my daughter years later and heard this again. The Lord was speaking to me again through this song and I have since given birth to 6 children and have never lost one agian. Every pregnancy was a walk of faith and brought me closer to God. This song literally prophesied my experiences with all of my children. I truly came to understand what God was doing with me through my babies. From time to time I come back to listen to remember what God has done. God uses people and I don't think people realize it. I'm not sure Britney even knew.

The first time I heard this song I was 11 years old, I was sleeping with my radio on and one night they played this song. I immediately recognized Britney's voice and connected so much with her sadness that I cried, as if my heart had been broken. The song and video are all the more poignant with the upcoming release of her memoir “the Woman in Me” next week (I see most of the comments here are from several months ago), in which she is no longer inspired to make new music. There is one bombshell after another, particularly about her relationship with JT, but this to me, “Someday”, reveals her true gifts go much deeper. And they are considerable. I’d love and treasure an album of songs like this one. Maybe “ Someday”?

This song was released a little after when I was outed out of the closet and ostracized by my church, friends and family... at 15 years old. I was made to go through conversion therapy, kicked out of my leadership role in my youth group and I’m still to this day not allowed to talk to my siblings on my fathers side (mom and him divorced when I was 4). I remember going to conversion therapy and praying so hard for it to work so that I could just be the son everyone around me wanted me to be. The only people that ever made me feel like I was perfect just the way I am.... My mom and Britney Spears. My mom was a hard working single mother who happened to be the black sheep of my family. She taught me the lesson that is the only reason I am alive today.... to go beyond reason to love. With that still, my childhood was more than turbulent and outside of being forced to partake in activities that did not interest me or nurture me.... outside of my mom, Britney nurtured me. She was the happiness in my childhood and was the voice that made me still believe, even when my my loneliness was killing me too... she made me feel understood, even when I didn’t understand that I was misunderstood..
When she released this and forced the world to see her as more than just a sexual object they could market... I started to understand. That in the end “it’s in you”. You are your truth. And just like she said before, people can take everything away from you but they can never take away your truth. And if they can’t, you are better off without them.
