In this video I will show you how to find the direction of the forces of a charged particle in 8 different magnetic fields using the right-hand rule or left-hand rule.
The right hand rule has been driving me absolutely crazy and your explanation made it 100% understandable in 30 seconds flat thank you so much!!
Once again Professor, it is amazing how you are able to teach (and make you be understood), to give the right examples, to navigate through different subjects and, at the same time, same subject (science) integrating all the information. Your playlists are also very helpful and well organized. Thank you so much!
Alvaro,
Thanks for the feedback. It lets me know I am doing the right thing and it motivates me to keep going and post more videos.
@@MichelvanBiezen As a parent trying to help, I can't tell you enough how great your teaching skills are.
Appreciate the positive feedback. Thanks
My left ear enjoyed this :)
haha..
lol
I thought it was just me!!!!!!!
@@chereoge what do u mean?
gosh,i thought my right headphone was gone for sure.
You're great.
I've been watching your lecture since physic 111
and now I'm in 112 and still watching your lecture.
simply you're the best.
thank you very much and I hope you are always in good health.
Your videos have been a big help with my college courses. The time you put in the videos and the simplification of concepts is great. Thanks :).
Michael I want to tell you that I enjoy listening to your explanations. I listened to other people's explanations about the video you're showing and you're the best.
There has never been a time you have not helped me when so many couldn't. Thank you sir!
This (less than 10 min Video) should be the "gold standard" in determining the Forces' directions in Mag & Electric fields !
thank you so much, best tutorial, even though my school teaches palm=force, finger=b-field and thumb=direction of particle, i still managed to understand you, very good questions too
Thank you from Brazil, your videos are perfect. God bless you!!
THIS IS GOLD! Best explanation of right hand rule by far. Finally understand it!
Glad we were able to help.
This is honestly the only video that has taught me this topic efficiently. Great explanation! Thanks. :)
Thank you!! the left hand right hand made all the difference. I appreciate your work.
Glad it helped!
more EFFICIENT way to find the force on the charge:
🤚 4 fingers together, thumb stretched.
+ charge right hand, - charge left hand
1) point 4 fingers in the direction of the magnetic field.
2) rotate hand so that thumb points in the direction of the charge.
3) the force is the direction where palm faces.
The explanation was so clear and concise ! I am so eternally greatful for this channel ! May God bless you good sir !!
Thank you so much.
The best teacher in the whole world
Thank you. Glad the videos are helpful. 🙂
I was in the search of a video like this coz i could not understand how to find the direction of force , this video is literally a life saver for me 😭 thanks
Glad you found it helpful. 🙂
amazing! most people teach using just their right hand which makes it super confusing, but this makes sense! thank you!
The best video I've seen that explains the right-hand rule. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Professor Michel!!!!! Thank you so much!! I have been alway confused about the force directed into the page and out of page, you made it so clearly!!!
You are welcome. Glad the video helped clear it up! 🙂
You explained so easily and so simple. Very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
this was the most helpful video ive come across for this topic, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
i have been struggling wid this topic a lot. this video helped me well and thank u very much sir
You make physics easy to comprehend. Thank you for these videos seriously!
I learned this better from you in less than 10 minutes, than from my professor in 45!
Glad it was helpful
What a great explanation that is concise and helpful. Good job prof
Best physics teacher on RUclips.
Thank you for your detailed explanation. I was struggling with this for a whole semester.
Glad you found our videos. (We have videos on all physics topics). 🙂
Thank u so much...
it helps me a lot..
bcoz i had forgotten it..
thanks to remind me...
and I liked the left - right hand trick .... it makes so easier..
finally understand the rhr. I've been working on trying to understand it from physics class all week! Thank you
Literally the only video that helped explain the right hand rule method thank u! U did the hand not the individual finger one I’d like to see both but still really appreciated this one. Maybe the full hand method is easier.
Glad it helped!
OMG! I never had thought this could be so easy , thank you so much sir. It really helped alot.
Glad you found our videos! 🙂
I have been searching for legend and I finally did it.
Glad you found our videos.
The first 4 example was hard to understand but the last 4 was a peace of cake. Thank you so much
Great. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy.
I am watching it from India and very happy to say that you have explained too good
Welcome to the channel!
Damn!! learned more than I could in two years.
Oh god i finally understood this and I might cry... THANK YOU SO MUCH 💜💜

Omg thank you so muchhhh😭😭🙏🙏 you dont know how much I struggled for this 🙏🙏
You're welcome 😊
Wonderfully explained.. I had been searching for this concept for so long and after looking at the craps.. I found this.. It's quite useful!
Perfect! Now I know how to use my left hand! Thanks a lot!
Great For negative charges only.
@@MichelvanBiezen i was wondering, why do you use the right hand for +ve charge and left hand for negative ones?
I am really impressed with how you explain the material. It's very easy to understand. Thank you very much, it means a lot.
You're very welcome!
I think those of you who can see this video are really happy. There are few such good free teaching videos here, and there are few opportunities for self-improvement out of school
Thank you. Glad you found our videos! 🙂
Thank you so much, finally I understand the magnetic😭
You are an amazing professor thank you a lot. you made me understand every thing in physics 😍

Your explanation is to good. Thank you Sir
Glad you think so.
Thank you so much- my teacher cant explain anything right and all my text books explain this horrifically too but this video is amazing - i finally understand this- far better than the hand rule thing- easy steps to follow
i was wondering how to do with negative or positive charges and finally found the answer to my question!! no one talks about this
Glad you found our videos.
would you say the flow of charges is basically like the flow of current?
There is electrical current and there is water current, and yes, the flow of charges is like a current.
This video explained the topic WAY better than Crash Course did
Superb Sir you made my day...thanks from Pakistan...
Welcome to the channel.

I was so confused in this topic...bt not now
Thank you and welcome to the channel
I love you sir no words to say thank
Thank you, you really helped me on the subject. My teacher has no idea and she expects us to know these things, you saved me there :D
gosh if only my professor would take more than 30 seconds to explain this
Same here 😱😱
so interactive so fun to learn thank you
Learnt from youjust now to use LH and RH for + or - charges. Thanks for teaching this. I use a simillar one viz palm rule . The fingers point in B direction, thumb in V the direction of palm gives that of the force . This is that a bit easier to remember as field lines being large in # are rep by fingers and the palm , which can push things gives the direction of force . Tried the 8 eg as you taught with the palm rule and matched well. Thanks again
Sir u don't know how much this going to help me, I am a iit jee aspirant thank you❤️❤️
Work hard now. It will pay off then.
im so happy i found you
sir u r my only god in human form.
No, no. I am just a simple person that is glad that I can help others.
Thanks for clear explanation!
thankyou so much sir. you are the only who cleared all my doubts by such a wonderful way. thanks once more
Have been watching your videos since last year sir
I bet anyone anyone who found you accidentally is one of the luckiest student ever!
Just wanna say thank you sir :)
Can l use flamink left hand rule for this sir
The convention is to use the right hand rule as shown in the video for positive charges and the left hand rule for negative charges. There are other techniques.
@MichelvanBiezen thank u for your reply sir
Can you explain organic chemistry reaction theory and questions sir ???
Left hand and right hand rule is also used for a bunch of other concepts in physics, if you make a video clarifying all the different concepts, it would be helpful!
That is an excellent idea. I'll add it to the list of videos to make.
@@MichelvanBiezen By the way Sir, is it actually you who replies or your assistant?
Most of the time it is me. My "assistant" is my wonderful wife who does a lot behind the scenes and she does answer a question once in a while.
I just want to tell you Sir that you might be living far away from me but I hold the same amount of respect for you as any other teacher of mine!
And what you do is really helpful, I'm an undergraduate student currently and I'd like to suggest that we start working together, "A Teacher Student Duo"
