Low Sulphur content but high wax content making it require a heated pipeline. This is such a capital intensive and high operating cost venture, that I wonder who will be ready to put money into it. Might take the next 50 years for this to be a reality. By the way, it is in the open that the initial batch of mined (~200,000 barrels) was sold to ChemChina at a value of KES 12B. Whoever gained from it, is another question.

The government of Kenya and Tullow should expedite the process to ensure that Kenyan citizens can benefit from the country's oil reserves. If swift action is not taken, the rising dominance of electricity and gas as primary energy sources could diminish the potential benefits of oil. Additionally, timely development and efficient management of oil resources can significantly boost the national economy, create jobs, and improve infrastructure, enhancing the overall well-being of the Kenyan population.
