i served in the US military for 9 years, and i was also stationed in Israel for 6 weeks
and i must say i love the IDF, great soldiers great people and Israeli women are the most beautiful women i have seen
now that i'm retired from the US army, i'm planning on taking my wife and kids for a visit they will never forget,
as a former American Special forces , i salute Israel anad may God bless each and everyone of you,
except the muslims which i can't stand

If you asked about this SPECIFIC unit in this clip - the "YAMAM" - then it's not an army unit, but a special police unit. Then you would have to go through all that I said earlier. But there are many special units in the army. If you will be able to get into Israeli army in the first place, then it depends only on your skills (intelligence and physical abilities), and you can get into a special unit in the army as anyone else.

I have trained with the Israeli's, British Special Forces and Ausi SF. We all do a our part to form a complete fighting organization.

Actually, the six day war was an exclusive Israeli achievement. It was such a remarkable feat that war academies across the globe consistently analyze the Israeli army's ingenious tactics as part of their courses.
You must be referring to Yom Kippur war in '73 which admittedly we needed the USA's intervention since we did not strike first albeit the threats of an upcoming war.
So no, he should say "Thanks to our amazing army" in that regard.
For a country with less than 8 million people, Israel has insanely strong army. 120k prof. soldiers, another 600k soldiers in reserve.... over 750 army aircraft (450+ F16's and F15's fighters), 20k people in the navy.... thats very very strong.
