I know, I miss back when I had no internet and I had to discover all things in video games now I just spoil myself with patch notes, videos, walkthrough, etc.
Since I have only mobile, used this as inspo to speedrun just getting mayo with a regular farm. Took a whopping 54 minutes, but it's my first speedrun.
when I saw the thumbnail, I assumed the speedrun was to drink all 4 types of mayo lol. I feel that would be interesting and hard because of the dino mayo?
Im glad i joined stream and got to see all the funny moments that dont make it into the videos- got lightly roasted for exposing myself as being somewhat of a noob but it was worth it 😂
I feel like this is an awkward category because traveling cart can just straight up sell you the mayo. Even if that's banned, egg from cart plus mining farm could similarly save a lot of time. I see on speedrun it's suggested you should have to eat multiple things; I feel like Sandwich% would be a more stable category
i was playing the new squid fishing event near the rock with the npc near me, and i drank a mayo for energy and the npc went "Did you just...?" i was not expecting that i laughed so hard c':
What benefit do you get out of waiting for the chickens to grow up and mining before planting the parsnips? If you plant the parsnips before day 3, which is a guaranteed rainy day anyway, that saves having to get one day of rain later on.

tbh, ig i got lucky with my chickens snacking on blue grass but i always get my first egg on day 3. i also never forget to close the door behind them and always make sure they're as happy as can be

So both Eggs and Mayo can be bought from the traveling merchant... Why not just reset until you can straight buy a Mayo on the first traveling cart of the run and win? (or do it seeded, or look at the seed and just predict when the cart will have mayo) Surely this is the fastest way to get Mayo, since you only need 1000g at most to buy it. Yes, this is lame, but like, RNG Traveling Cart into Mayo would be the best way to make time. You literally don't have to do anything, you just win.
It's not allowed in item based speedruns, mostly because it would be incredibly boring to watch and play. It's something I should've mentioned in the video, but yeah

I see everyone losing their minds over the fact that you can drink the mayonnaise, but I have yet to see anyone mention that you can now also drink jelly! I turned my salmonberries into jelly and it has the same stat a mayo. 50 Energy 22 Health.
I'm of the mind that the category should include ALL mayos, not just base. Dino mayo presents RNG, but prehistoric floors in the Skull Cavern speed that up significantly.

I wonder how 2 people saved a minute over you! Rain rng? Edit: Kale and ridiculous rng the whole run. The play was smooth but not hyper smooth. Figure they lost maybe 10-15 seconds on execution over the whole run.
