I saw them at Hammersmith Odeon December 1973. Supported by Queen.
My first concert. I'll never forget it.

I consider flying 3000 miles to see Mott The Hoople in 2019 in NYC one of the smartest things I've ever done.

I'm one of those Americans that was "mad" enough to go to London in 2009, along with a good amount of others. It was one of the highlights of my life.

Great guys. I think the live '74 album is one of the best ever. Can't stop playing it (Anniversary edition). Also reading the book, thoroughly entertaining.

Been a fan since heard them doing Thunderbuck Ram on the sampler called "Bumpers." 1st saw Mott the Hoople at the Caley Cinema in Edinburgh in 1973. Then at 1st reunion in Hammersmith, London and then Newcastle. Also went to the '74 version at The Barrowlands in Glasgow. Superb. Thanks for posting.

Good to hear an interviewer who really knows about MTH, some others just wing it. I really enjoyed that, thanks very much.

Time spent here, just terrific. Trying to really learn all possible about Mott-the-Hoople and Ian Hunter.

Laugh about the Evesham phonebox because Mick, as a kid, apparently used to cycle around the village of Pencombe with an acoustic on his back, and strum it in the phonebox on the village green. I wasn't there in the late 60s, but in the early 70s was a fairly frequent user of the same box. Mick's father ran the post office in nearby Stoke Lacy.

Wow, these guys are old! They look just like me! Saw them in Houston, TX at Hofheinz Pavillon in very early 70s. Met Billy Gibbons, of ZZ Top, at that show. We said Hi to Billy and he turned to talk to us about a new band he started called ZZ Top. Good times!

Ian Hunter has just had his 83rd Birthday, so not doing to bad, and can still hit the notes.
