I didn’t realize the lengths they went, to recreate era. It’s incredible there dedication of Michael Mann the the crew he works with.

They sure captured the real. I was raised in Oklahoma and my family talked about knowing Pretty Boy and the Barker Gang right in Tulsa my home town. This picture I believe gets that atmosphere some way. Good.

We can all greatly appreciate the extensive efforts that Michael Mann and his team went through to create a visual for us to think of what the events looked like back in the 1930’s. Our US history is full of interesting times, events and cultural phenomena that makes us different than any other place in the world. Not a brag or glorifying in any way. Just saying how it was. I have traveled to some of these historic places where these events have taken place and no doubt, there is a very strange feeling about the environment. The set directors, workers and actors sure were moved as well. The interaction that Dillinger and many other gangsters had with the public is incredibly high from what I have found (within reason). My now deceased grandfather on my mom’s side was a true cowboy from the West. He crossed paths with Willy Sutton but didn’t know it at the time of their encounter. Grandpa found out a short time later. The point of bringing that up is this - we just never know who we might cross paths with unexpectedly. It could be a good or bad encounter. If grandpa’s rough tough cowboy personality had said something in the wrong way to Sutton, it’s possible that life may have been much different. With 9 kids later and over 50 plus grandchildren of offspring, think of how that could’ve changed things down the road. But I am a believer in the decisions we make and also fate play into our lives for the positive. Guardian angels are real too! I have no reason to believe that they are not due to multiple reasons and sources.
