I hope you like this collaboration I did with Sperber Knives. He did very good job on the blade and trust me I was so scared to do this etch.. only thinking how this could go very bad scares me.
There is probably much better way to do this etch. I used what I had and what I hoped it would work.
Thanks to my Brother for helping me :)
Handle is made from Mahogany wood which is very old (90 yrs at least as my neighbor says) but I think it is way more old.

I really like how etching came out! And yeah personally, I don't like the handle that much but it is like that in game (Actually, this one is more beautiful because of the pins 😉)

Is the charcoal resin simply for aesthetic, or does it help in other ways?
For color hah 😅 I don't know if it gives something else to epoxy 😝
@@EpicWorkshop Thanks for letting me know! I figured it was for the color! It's probably less expensive to do it that way than to try and find a black epoxy that might not set up the way you need it to. I know a similar trick is used in woodworking with sawdust and glue rather than using wood putty, so it's fun to see other iterations of the same technique!

I really don't know, I just checked what is that 631 651 thing, I think it is the best that you do the test like I did on the knife 😊 then you will know what is better 🤘🍺 good luck

Where do you get the clear tape you use to transfer the vinyl stencil over to the knife? What is the stuff called?
I don't know, Vinyl transfer paper, maybe came with vinyl as a set. Google is your friend 😅
@@EpicWorkshop Oh, sweet! I will try to find a vinyl stencil sticker that comes with it. All the stuff I got, it only has the vinyl sticker, so it's very difficult to transfer.
Yeah I get you, it should be easy to find. Ask someone in some store where they sell papers and so on. I found a guy who does stamps for companies. He had everything. Good luck Bro

That was our plan and I think we even improved it. Raph from Sperber Knives made it from beautiful Damascus 🖤😍
That blade is beautiful bud! I would rework the handle regardless of the game reference. Almost a shame to see such beautiful work with such a plain and small handle, poor balance. But still, Great stuff man!
