to add on about crafting: you only ever need to craft at least one of the item, and as long as you have it in your furniture inventory you can buy as many of them as you'd like from scrooge! saves you materials especially those gemstones, though this doesn't work for paths and fences

8:22 for the decorate each area quest you don't need to craft or place anything. Simply picking up any decoration already there (tree, rock, bush etc) moving it one square and putting it back down again counts. So you can literally do them all for free in about 2 minutes.

Awesome list. A couple things: you don't have to click on a well on the map to fast travel to it. Just hit "Y" with the map open and it'll pop up an area select. Way faster than scrolling the map around to find a well to click on.
As for my personal favorite tip: I've been trying to earn all of the pets in the game, and recently learned an insanely helpful fact. If you go to the collection page and scroll down to "critters," you can not only see all the color variations of all obtainable pets (with those you've yet to obtain less "solid" looking), it will also tell you which specific ones are currently in their respective biomes. That way you don't have to go there and search all over just to find out if the ones you need are currently present in-game. This has saved me *so much* time.
And yes... I am way too addicted to this game. At least I know I'm not alone in my addiction!
Carrots are not 5.5x several websites have their sell price incorrectly at 55, they actually sell for 44. If you look at profit per minute of growing time, wheat is techincally the best at 3 coins per minute, however because it needs to be replanted so frequently it's tedious and is beaten out by others. Canola is the best for active play. You can plant about 100 canola in 5 minutes and then 35 minutes to grow for a profit of 8400 in 40 mins, or 210 coins a minute, pumpkins, the next best are quite far behind at 39,800 for 4 hours 5 mins, for a profit of 162 a minute. You can make about 50k from canola in the same amount of time. Carrots are about the same as pumpkins at 40k a minute, but require more micromanagement.
For periods of inactive play like when you're sleeping pumpkins are best as you're only going to get one harvest so it should be the one with the biggest profit. Spend 20 mins before quitting to plant a couple hundred pumpkins and wake up to a few hundred k in the morning.

What about onions cuz I've been planting an onions other than canola seeds during active play. I have it and it's correct biome and it doesn't seem to take nearly as long as what people says it does. And I make way more with the onions than I do the canola and I don't have to spend all my time planting seeds to gather it back up again It gives me enough time to go farm and when I finish farming in two areas it's done...
Maybe it's just me but I just feel like onions are better than canola
I've also been trying to do eggplants in the winter biome to see how well they do I know they take a while to grow as well but man that profit margin is almost just as good as pumpkin and leeks...
And leeks are another crop that I've been seeing videos and reading about that's also good to grow for profit A lot of people says it's better than canola and then it's better than pumpkin??
I noticed when I was planting cotton to make fabric, I had to water twice. If I plant and water pumpkins before I go to bed, will they be dry and need watering or be ready for harvest immediately when I wake up?

This game has me addicted. Playing on xbox here now on the game pass, and holy crap ive teared up already when wall-e even spoke because hes THAT cute, and ive giggled so much too. Also Scrooge Duck ive yelled at like a mom bc his attitude is ferocious when you don’t upgrade things 😂
The thing about moving the wells is a lifesaver, honestly. There are certain quests that say things like "Harvest 50 mushrooms!" or whatever, for the Merlin quest, in order to unlock the ability to get rid of the giant mushrooms with your watering can. Well...I harvested all the mushrooms on the side that was accessible, and I didn't get enough to finish the quest. ALL of the mushrooms and flowers and whatever that I needed were spawning on the OTHER side, the inaccessible side. How can I harvest mushrooms to finish the quest that will let me remove the giant mushrooms, if the giant mushrooms that I can't yet remove are blocking the path to all of the mushrooms I need to harvest?!
Needless to say, I was stressing out thinking my save file was essentially broken and I wouldn't be able to complete the quest. Then I saw the tip for moving the well on a forum somewhere, and I was finally able to complete Merlin's quest to remove the giant mushrooms. Yikes! I feel like they need to rework the spawning mechanic for resources to make sure there will always be at least a few on the accessible side, so people who may not know the well trick don't get locked out of completing quests.
I kept going back to check for a whole day 😂😂 Then realised it was a glitch in the game. Since completing the quest.. I have an abundance of mushrooms popping up 😅
Wow, hands down most helpful video I’ve seen on here or tiktok about Dreamlight!! I’ve been waiting for certain windows to pop back into the shop for AGES - had no idea I could put them in my inventory and just order them gahhhhh! Also I’ll say I do time travel, but ONLY forwards. Backwards is what breaks the game and makes things unforagable/unharvestable. If that happens, you have to get back to the last date you had it set to before the break, or back to current time if you had the clock on real time before the break.
A tip I saw elsewhere. If you have your crafting bench in your storage and go to scrooges shop ask to order something and storage benches are only 1 star coin. I bought one for each area.

Moving the wishing well to the area you can’t get to was a brilliant idea!! I wouldn’t usually use a hack but in Merlins final quest, you need mushrooms that don’t spawn due to a glitch as soon as you accept the quest. So moving the well gave me the rest I needed to complete!! 😊
Also for seaweed fishing near the Lily pads, I tended to get more then just outside of the bubbles

Hey there! Just an fyi, Aquamarines are only used for blue lighting. You could also use topaz, garnet, emerald or sapphire depending on the recipe. One to match the ones in the plaza uses topaz. I hope this helps. I love your videos! ❤️🏰🌄
Something else I would like to add for Scrooge's add furniture quests for each biom is you can add landscape items like rocks or tree, which are free and don't take any crafting. To me, this is what I did to complete those quests.

If you play on switch- try to avoid entering your house with a buddy. This seems to be the thing that most frequently crashes my game or I get stuck in the door with no way to go in or out.
Place a chest or 2 outside your house so you can empty your inventory frequently without going into your house
Place crop holes in 2 by 3 configuration for efficient watering (this might be switch specific)
The game auto saves frequently but its a good idea to manually save before quitting. It can be found on the settings menu.
Different crops require different amounts of watering- look on your map to see if your crops need watering
A fruit salad with 5 fruits gives a good amount of energy and its basically free because trees are able to be harvested quickly
If you make a meal with the same ingredients- they will stack in your inventory.
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet or not but you're also able to fast travel to any previously unlocked castle location if you click on the castle in maps.
I also didn't know you could just open the map and Fast travel to a Well?! You're not alone. Thanks for the Tips again Eeowna 💜
It took me way to long to figure out you can fast travel on your own.
Instead of manually searching for a wishing well in the map, go into the Map and hit Y (for Switch users). You get a menu of the unlocked wishing wells. Hit R and you can do the same but for the Realms
the tip on how to cover up the holes with the bigger items blow my mind. thank you so much. i hated covering them back up
Vegetarian pizza is the best 5 star recipe. Uses crops mostly from the beginning areas, and cheese which you buy from Remy.
2 of any veggie, 1 tomato, 1 cheese, 1 wheat
I'm not sure if anyone has me tioned this yet, but the holes that you dig, you can just dig in that spot again like in animal crossing and it fills them in. No need to place a house there :)

A fellow motion sick person! They need to add the option to turn off camera shake! Also, the new patch added lighting to the rain storms. But the flash of lighting is very bright and very often. Both these things get me sick. Hope enough people tell them, so they make the needed updates. :)

I’d add that make sure you have enough coal ores since you use them in both crafting and cooking. I go through mine pretty quickly.😅
Once Kristoff is a level 10, he has a stall and does sell coal, although it's not available daily.
I think it's way worse when it comes to iron ores... you need iron for so many crafts and missions but you can't buy it anywhere, it's such a pain

@10:02 On the topic of the Star Path, if you don't upgrade to premium you get half the duties but also are only able to get half the rewards (the others are locked).
I bought premium "battle pass" my first day (for the lower level so 2500 Moonstones), you get back 2000 Moonstones across the levels! I managed to get everything within 12 days of playing (about 35 hours of gameplay)! If you get the lower level 2500 Moonstones, you get back 2000 Moonstones and can get all the items EXCEPT the last 175 Moonstones. You only get enough "Duties" worth enough Pixar Fest toxens to get all the items, but not enough to get the last 10 for the 175 moonstones on the 6th level. I therefore assume, the only way to get access to the last 175 moonstones is if you've bought the upgraded 4100 moonstone path where you start with 100 Pixar Fest tokens. But it's not worth it unless you're really in a time crunch (less than 35 hours of casual play time or less than 20 hours of intense playtime left). For the basic premium you pay 2500 moonstones and are able to get 2000 back, so you've essentially spent 500 on the premium items, versus fancy premium where you pay 4100 and get back 2175 and therefore have spent 1925 moonstones.
Tldr; If you don't go premium star path, you can't get all the items (so look at the items to see if that months event is worth it), but based on my math, it's not worth it to get the most expensive premium.

If you need to talk to a villager you can go inside then back outside their house and they will be outside to greet you
I just bought this game on switch. It's fun so far I just started. In a funny it's the only way you can visit Disney park in a world setting without breaking the bank.

Pumpkins are the best for money, I’ve got a massive plot especially for them, they do take 4 hours to grow but they are like 600 coins each and you only have to water them a couple times during that time, so your not spending all your time farming

You can do paths row by row, if you hold the arrow and drag, it will do a line of path in the direction of the arrow 😅
I turned camera sensitivity all the way down, first thing, owing to my penchant for motion sickness in games, and I'm still feeling quite ill within a few minutes of playing. I'm playing on PC with mouse and keyboard and am hoping the controller I have ordered will help. I wish we could have a more fixed view and the ability to zoom out. When I started playing World of Warcraft, about 15 years ago, it made me super sick at first, but I was able to overcome it with a little time and adjustments in settings. I still had to be careful to look away from my screen as much as possible when doing things like traversing spiral staircases, caves, or rooms with low ceilings. I sure hope DDV will become playable for me because it just seems amazing

Also for fast travelling, if you just go to map and just press a button without moving the cursor to select any well, it will automatically take you to the Plaza Well, not a massive time saver but still ;-) For collecting resources I have made a little section in each biome that has a bench, well, shop and chest all in one place and the chest gets filled with irems relevant to that biome, I cant tell you how many times this saved me time, especially on rare flower hunting.
Jailing your farmer/forager buddies is a good thing, though you might want to be careful with your Switch and the amount of crops you did it for. I have done it for 450 pumpkins and my ps5 had a massive hick up on "release" as my buddy produced over 400 pumpkins in one explosion. Beautiful fireworks though!
I kind of hope Gameloft will move the seed planting function to the same button that you click for the tool and just have you do it when no tool is equipped (square on PS) as it is very frustrating to accidentally plant something while spamming harvesting button.
As an epileptic I was so happy to find out you could turn of flashing and camera shakes
You can use the wells and the pathfinder together. Click on the person you are looking for and then click the closest well. The pathfinder will start when you get to the well.
Always use five raspberries per fruit salad!
You can place a rug over the holes and it will vlear them as long as you save the placement :)

I respectfully disagree. Pumpkins are the best, they sell for $644 ….. they take 2 hours but I got 300k gold after 2 hours, and you can only get them in Sunlight Plateau in the higher up area, plus you mine gems that are worth a HUGE amount of money. Sunlit is mostly for money. (Shiny diamonds are 2400) Unlock that first imo
pumpkins take 4 hours to grow (240 minutes) .. thats a long time to be in game for a lot of people, but ..as long as you water them around the 2 hour mark (still a long time for some people who cannot stay logged in that long) , they will grow while you are offline. having said that.. there is no reason not to plant pumpkins, definitely worth the effort, but for faster harvest and a lot of coins quicker..do Canola ..in less than 1 hour you can plant a couple hundred, and still have time to water, harvest and plant again in that 1 hour period

The Pumpkin Carriage is not active in game ..Yet .., crabs are a golden circle, rare catch, Puffer fish (Fugu) .. are only available in a golden circle when it is thunder storming outside, very rare catch

Handy for the black shards. Your Onyx can be crafted into 3 of them so don't sell them because those are a pain to get otherwise!
For the place 10 items to decorate each area I just placed 10 pieces of path down it doesn't take up large chucks of space plus once the quest is done you can remove and redecorate
I really hope they fix the lightning effect. It is a strobe light. It's awful. Love this game!
I tried the fencing buddies before harvesting crops, after I let them free they ran a few feet very fast, did the animation for finding extra crops, and dropped about 50 extra crops all at once. It’s definitely worth it for more than just not having them in the way
Awesome video as always! 😊 The only thing I disagree with, though, is the premium star path. I paid for the more expensive Star path and my mom didn’t. More than half the items are unavailable to her because they’re premium-only items. (The squirrel companion, the motorcycle, the bed, basically all the coolest stuff is premium-only and isn’t available with the basic star path. 😕)
Hi! There might be a bug in your mom's game. I paid for the cheaper one (2500 moonstone, without the additional coins) and the premium stuff are available for me. I already have the squirrel and other premium items. Are you sure she unlock the premium path? If yes, she should have 6 missions at a time instead of 3.
@@Just_Alice. No, I’m sure that she didn’t pay for premium. (She has three missions at a time.) That’s why the premium-only items are unavailable for her. My game was the same until I paid for premium and unlocked the premium-only items.
@@TarielOfLorien ok, then I might have misunderstood what you've said. Just in case you haven't notice, there are moonstones in the premium path, so if your mother unlocks it, she can gain back almost all what she spent (I think it's about 2200 moonstones), so it's worth using the 2500 requested to open the premium path imo. And as she would have more quests, it's easier to unlock rewards 😊

I just gift them random flowers I find on the floor. They give a bunch of exp.
It took me 5 new days to level them all the way up. Just gave them exactly their favourite gifts 5 days in a row.

With time traveling you don't have to restart necessarily. You just wait for the day and time to time to come and lineup with whenever you traveled to. Things willWork properly again

If you press Y while in the map you can choose which Well AND WHICH REALM! Yes you can fast travel to the realm and when you leave the realm you will be right back to where you fast travelled from!
Some more tips:
1.) Plant crops there where you can buy them because the will grow faster there. For beginners are carrots good, then Canola (plant in the forest), but the best are pumpkins (over night)🎃
2.) Best cooking recipes is souffles (You can get everything in Remy's restaurant for this recipe)
3.)About animals:
Can someone tell me, how I can tame the different animals and which are their favorite food?

Stand in front of them and wait until there are not afraid anymore. Favorite food???
Rabbits:
Follow them 3 times to get the option to tame them. The love carrots 🥕
Raccoons:
They love blueberry 🫐 don't know how to take to them 😅 sometime it work, but I didn't know why.
Crocodiles:
??? And ???
Birds:
They love the little yellow flower which grows in their area and you can talk easy to them
Foxes:

The turtles love seaweed!

My switch was two days ahead when I started my game and didn’t realize cause I hadn’t played ACNH in so long… had to basically wait two real life days for the game to behave normally again but thankfully it sorted itself out 😭 Thank you for this tip so no one else runs into that issue!!

Just figured I'll move it back slowly the days i'm not going to be playing dreamlight valley anyway until I eventually make it back to the proper time. That way, the game works properly the entire time. Only downside is I can't collect online chests until I'm back to the proper date.
I just realized minutes were off, my event has never showed up and I can't collect my chests! Is this literally why!?!?
@@itzelw9159 it only effects you if you've gone back in time after opening the game for the first time. Your game is essentially stuck on the day you started it until it catches up. Say you had your clock one month ahead and then go back to the current day, you'll have issues with things not spawning or resetting until a month goes by and the date you had your clock to passes by naturally.
I time travel and its not a big deal. If u want to do the event then go to your irl time and launch the game. Then when you’re done collecting your pixar rewards. Go to the future you’re still at. And the game works just fine. Make sure to stay in the future when you want to play. And back to irl time when you want to collect the rewards. Ezps sisters.

Don't sell the flowers. Ever. You need really specific ones throughout the game. So yeah. As tempting as it is to sell them cuz you feel like there's tons, just don't.

Honestly I don’t see a need to time travel in Dreamlight Valley. It has all the perks of Animal Crossing with few of the drawbacks, love it.

@@mad_hatt dont need an xbox, xbox game pass is for pc and is a paid monthly subscription to play games free - kinda like Netflix. The games do come down as new ones are introduced but you can also buy them at a discount. With Dreamlight Valley you can play on the Xbox Pass subscription and save to cloud save - then when it Drmlght Vlly comes out for free you'll still have your cloud save!

I just finished the Harvestella demo and I LOVED it 🎉. The coziness, the story, the difficulty level, not too difficult but also not too easy that it’s boring (I find games like animal crossing very boring 😅). What game should I get now?? Square Enix has beautiful graphics ❤
feed the animals everyday! they can give you motif bags! and mining mining is so good for money!
Also to fast travel to wells press y while in the map and choose your area, including realms you visited.
The more expensive star path is actually better, because you can redeem last reward multiple times - which means you end up with a few extra moonstones compared to the cheaper premium.
You can also upgrade to the more expensive at any time - there’s a one time option to buy 100 Pixar tokens at a discount.
Do not buy in regular price, then you’ll loose moonstones!

Perspectively you should unlock all areas. You will need them to complete the first few friendship quest lines and get the level 10 rewards. And let's not forget that there are many many more characters to come to the game, so we will need all the space.
On sunlit plateau, there are already the empty houses for scar & simba, who will come with the next content update. Also in forgotten lands, there is already a empty pumpkin house for whatever character (curious to see which character they have in mind for that).
I didn’t say not to unlock it, I just said wait until you need it to unlock it! 😊
@@Eeowna Oh, I understood that part wrong. My apologies. Yes, I agree. There is no point to open them up sooner. It's good advice to stick to the intended order for unlocking bioms.
Okay so, I started without fixing my clock (I had it set to flip the day/night for animal crossing, didn’t change it to time travel just because shops were closed when I was playing at night and I work). Anyhow, it looks like making the single change syncing my clock to the internet didn’t break my game.
Was hoping someone would comment on this since I didn't fix my clock before playing too 😅

I actually got some of the star pass items without using the moonstone currency I got it through unlockables in game in those pouches

tip: instead of crafting a lamp 20 times you can craft it one time and then order it from scrouge as long as you have it not placed

You dont need to do that chair trickery to fill the sand back in you can literally just dig it again and it fills back in

i stumbled upon this video as i have been just starting the game and the well trick was one of the first things i found out and was so thankful for it, but man i wish there was a way to move faster!
I also went to the well all the time. When I realized I didn't have to, I was like Oooooooo, that's nice!

You don’t even need to scroll to and click on a well on map, there’s a fast travel button and you can pick any well and any realm you’ve unlocked already!
