Is it my imagination or do many of Lee's designs need post-drawing tweaking to better fit the space? This is dramatic indeed, but... so much awkwardly shaped grass to have to mow, and no easy way for many people to sit under the giant pergola because the even more giant water feature just eats up space. I was a bit sad the jasmine was sited right in front of the Papa's Cooking Here sign on the fence. Still, the customer looked pleased and her family amazed, so I guess it comes out right in the end.
They left so much lawn! Who is going to cut all that grass for her, especially as she continues to age? Thank you for loading it up for us though! Liking it only to support the channel!
This was a seriously unpractical design. It was a generous budget and such a waste of money. The grass is not going to grow under the pergola, and the expensive Dicksonia is going to struggle in full sun. If the water feature had been moved to the side and the area paved, it could have been a decent entertaining area. Also, putting the jasmine smack bang in front of Pappas BBQ sign without moving it how thoughtless. Love Garden Rescue, but this design really upset me.
Remember, gardens are never “done”. She can continue to tune everything up. This team was only working on this for a short time. It will continue to get better.
True, but I have to agree about the impractical pergola. The huge rill leaves no room for furniture. The work to render it may be for naught if they end up demolishing it. I'm sad her husband's fixation on a nice lawn prevented her from having a say in the design when they both could have enjoyed it. The grandchildren will have fun with the fountain, but Charlie would have given a frog pond. 😂@@krisbaker9427
What a lovely person she is. She loves it and that’s what counts. Amazing garden design.
Lee , Flo and the team created a magical, tropical oasis for this lady. I must admit I cried happy tears. Well done to you all. 🌴🪴🌱❤

Area under the pergola would look better if it was paved, but I supposed the budget wouldn't cover that.
Agreed 👍
