I’m in my senior year of hs and your channel has helped me so much! Nobody really talks about how to get into the PA field and you’ve documented every part of your journey with stuff that is actually helpful to other people starting that journey as well! Thank you Peyton you are truly an inspiration to me💗 Big sister vibes🫶🏽✨

Also I really loved hearing your thoughts at 13:00. You seem like such a compassionate and kind person and any department is gonna be lucky to have you as a PA! ❤

During my nurse training, I did a complete 180 degree turn on what I wanted to do jobwise. I always thought I'd be a ward nurse but I've ended up in daycase surgery and i love it. .
One of my mentors told me that I have the personality for it and I think she was right. I only see patients for a short while before the next one comes along. You have to be the kind of person that can immediately put people at ease, and that people feel comfortable with straight away.
I've worked with some nurses that are lovely once you get to know them; but they might be a bit abrupt, or not quite give off approachble vibes. In my job, i dont have time for people to warm to me , it has to be instant. If you're the kind of person who has the instant likeability factor then its a big tick in the box for outpatient settings.
You have the world at your feet, I'm sure you'll be fantastic whatever environment you end up in. X

I am an new grad RN and currently work in urgent care(which I freaking love). You can get to know the patient in the short amount of time. But you always have your regulars 😂 working 3 twelves shifts a week is great!

@@PeytonFowler at the one I work at, we see your typical colds, flu, COVID, broken bones, ear pain, sinus infection, etc. But we are like a “transition to the ER” so we get MI’s and strokes 😂

Im an undergraduate rn but also super interested in pediatrics-I just can’t decide whether to pursue it as a PA or MD. Do you have any thoughts about the differences between those two roles, or specifically the pros/cons of being a peds PA instead of MD? Would love to hear your thoughts

Hi I have that 12 hour shift hospital lifestyle as a cna. I think it’s better while in school but also at the end of the day you are just so exhausted and I can not get myself to the gym also working weekends is tough sometimes.
