Gorgeous capture of our phenomenal Momma YRK, she did an absolutely amazing job of raising our sweet princess QT almost entirely by herself. 💓 Thank you soo much for this video of our much loved YRK! Godspeed & safe travels to YRK and All our albies this season❣️ 🤗💕💕
You sure did an awesome job with your baby girl QT.❤️🦢 You surly took great care of her and made sure she was fine and fed too and also getting stronger so she could take to the skies. Thanks again and I also pray that God watches over you and keep you safe as I wish also for QT. I shall miss her but I know she had a great mom. God bless you and hugs to you always mom YRK. Sue M.❤️🙏🏻😘🦢🦢🌸🌼❌⭕️❌⭕️
It’s cool you got to see mom come back. I hope she has feelings of satisfaction and relief after doing such a stellar job parenting this season. Thanks for sharing Mother of the Year 😘
Thank you for all the great comments about the video it was a buzz to capture YRK returning to the nest a day after her chick QT fledged! I'm glad to hear the video has been enjoyed!
this video was quite a treat! I watched YRK come in and wait for QT. and now I see her go down and take off which completes that bittersweet day. very satisfying to see those great wings embrace the winds.
It hurts to know we won't be seeing her anytime soon. One of my daily life routines was to keep checking on her (and OGK but oh, well he's gone missing) and now that she's gone having accomplished her duty, I feel as though I'm myself "transitioning" from one to another phase of life 😅😒
Great job of videography!!! Seriously excellent capture!! How you did this with such zoom and focus is a mystery to me. Does your equipment provide a macro scene of the area so you know where to point? Your camera work as noted is exceptional.. it was FANTASTIC to see YRK's wing configuration in close up as the bird flew with the air currents. Thanks for your post!
Thank you for your comment! I'm using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 the camera has a good size sensor for a super zoom point and shoot camera, it also let's you keep focusing on the subject while videoing 4K, such as a distant flying bird and not blur out the shot too often as it moves. It's been fun to use, lots of manual settings have taken me a long time to learn and it's cheaper than a DSLR and lenses but of course not the quality of one! I've been guiding at Albatross Center for awhile and learning to anticipate their next move which helps with filming. I usually scan from camera screen to looking at whole scene with my own eyes while filming, you never know what might be going on just out of shot! 😄
@@wildsurf01 Thanks for your detailed reply! I checked out that camera on Amz and it certainly looks amazing but it looks very complicated! I am absolutely sure you have had to spend many hours figuring out settings, trying them out and going back and refining them. Your efforts, as noted earlier, has certainly paid off! And the experience you've gained watching these majestic birds has been put to excellent use. I stumbled upon the stationary NZ Royal Albatross video feed and have enjoyed watching these flying tubenoses zip around the skies. Your videography is a fantastic enhancement and quite the treat!! Cheers!!

Love this 💕😊 I got a little teary eyed!
Us Albatrosses are majestic creatures
I hope to see her again in the not too distant future. And maybe OGK. And a number of years further ahead, QT now known as Lilibet.
👸🔥🔥🔥
