Everyone talks about how Bring Me The Horizon is the quintessential band that has come a long way since their scene days but can we talk about how TDWP went from HTML Rulez D00d to To The Key Of Evergreen, one of the best evolutions for a band ever imo
@@finnmckentyslanderaccount409 Completely 100% agree. I remember watching them in 07-08 on MTV when they made the video for HTML rulez dood. People always mention their older records ( I love all of them btw) but their evolution is absolutely incredible. To the key of evergreen is definitely my favorite track for sure. Such a beautiful and well written song
I honestly think underrated is a bad word to use respectfully of course with talking about bands like TDWP, Chiodos, ADTR, AA, and Asking Alexandria. In 2006-2010 in between there. These bands were one of the biggest bands too see if not THE BAND too see at one point in time. So I like to think they had their time at the top. But them coming back with their last EP and now this song. Its looking like their not going away anytime soon
I got into TDWP back in 2011. They were one of the few bands that helped me to begin to really expand my musical taste, so their music always has a special place in my heart. While I haven’t liked everything they have done over the years, I am always excited to hear their new music. I have listened to this new song twice now, and I am really liking it, and I feel like it will just continue to grow on me :)
wow theyre at the peak of their songwriting ability, as you said so dynamic, and that ending was so unexpected. His screams are so unique and blended with those cleans is something unparalleled in metalcore at the moment I feel.
I got into TDWP recently(2019) with their single chemical, and it was the only song I listened to from them, until this month where I went through some of their older songs and they're so good. Still alot that I've not heard though, might go through their older albums tonight, amd see what I think.
You’re by far the best reaction channel!!! I been listening to this song non stop.. I even went on YT this morning to watch last nights live performance of the song 😂. Can’t wait to see them in Houston!
I got to see them live in 2018. They opened with Falling in Reverse for Papa Roach and ADTR in Pittsburgh. I missed most of TDWPs performance trying to buy a hoodie, but I loved what I got to see from them. I had heard of them prior to that concert but never tried to get into their music until their most recent music
i had the pleasure of experiencing this song for the first time live on WCAR's to plant a seed tour, and i tell you, it's just as good live, if not better.
I agree with those who say TDWP it's underrated. I remember discovered them since Space EP and blew my head their conceptual work, now they still sound fresh and evolving in the right way
I feel like that last part was some sort of nod at Dead Throne. Because they brought back the triangle and they also talked about how the Dead Throne 10 year tour was gonna’ happen before covid. And that it still may happen in the future. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 Yeah I can’t remember where exactly it was at (twitch or a podcast) but they’ve mentioned it a few times. When they talk about that your happening in the future they just say “who knows….” Lol so I’m hoping it happens
Didn't really like The Act, mainly due to Mike's way of screaming. I liked Chemical and Please Say No but that's about it so I went into this song somewhat sceptical and was pleasantly surprised by hearing one of the best singles I've heard this year. Amazing song, I really hope for an entire album in this style
Felt the same way about the act. The screaming is unique and powerful but, only screaming is ear fatigue. Definitely need growls to balance it out. They were completely missing. I sort of felt the same way about transit blues. Great to hear the return of the vocal variations in ZII
I have to the same feelings towards TDWP too, not my cup of tea at first, but the more and more listen to their stuff, it gets better, it's like fine wine or aged meat, gotta let it sit and run through you
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 Lol what's wild about that? Their old sound was juvenile and generic. And to be completely honest, Mike's vocals sucked ass.
@@RthereNEusernames What era are you talking about? Their early scenecore stuff? I agree that it was generic and didn't age well but vocally sucked?! LOL you couldn't be anymore wrong!
I don’t know man.. I hate to be “that guy” but I just really really prefer their older material. Their newer stuff just doesn’t “hit” for me the way it does for others. This song felt average. Granted, this is just one song off of their upcoming album, but I just think they have so much potential. Plagues was okay for me, didn’t age particularly well IN MY OPINION. Roots was phenomenal. Zombie EP was their peak. Dead Throne was a bit of a let down for me. Everything up until Zombie 2 was not for me. I feel so bad for not really liking this all that well, but I’m just being honest. Prada is one of the most underrated bands in the scene imo. Each release is an experience and they deserve so much more credit.
They got big attention around With Roots and Dead Throne, but that's about it.

From what I understand, aren't they considered madly influential? Or ar least, they were cause of Roots, Plagues, and Dead Throne
The song is a mix from The Act + ZII. So damn well structured.
it's the ZAAACT baby
It truly is insane to look back over their discography and see their sound change and evolve. Like fine wine, they’ve aged so well over time.
Is it truly?
I disagree, there 2nd and 3rd albums are masterpieces.
This band has aged like a fine wine lol
Been with them since the beginning
The chorus is hauntingly catchy
unfortunately i don't feel the same, maybe i should listen a couple more times
Yes, it's hauntingly beautiful ❤️
@@gusvsconcelos it gets better bro.
Of Mice & Men - Mosaic
As I Lay Dying - Roots Below

holy fucking shit this caught me way off guard, this could be my instant track of the year. this guys screams and cleans are amazing
The clean chorus and the intense intro I'm in love with.

Discography is so long and wonderful lol
Zombie EP
@@Smittz and Dead Throne
Start with With Roots Above and Branches Below. I kind of doubt anyone would like Dear Love and Plagues if they don’t have the nostalgia.
Unfortunately they said on Twitch this wasn’t a tease for another album. This was just a single
Watchtower thooo
yea, so, that was a lie my guy
*pauses color decay* sorry, what do u say?
well that didn't age well... or did it?
All I'm gonna say is that I'm really happy with this. I'm happy with where TDWP is heading. The song structure got me emotional.
TDWP is at the top of metalcore
Big fan of TDWP been a listening to them since Dead Throne album and they never disappoint me. Also seeing them tonight in Philly
Seeing them Sunday night on the We Came As Romans tour, and I cannot wait. Been one of my favorite bands for more than a decade.
Your experience with this band is identical to me. Never cared for them, but their newer stuff has started to grow on me
Finally someone that gets the brilliance of this banger, great reaction dude
Rivers of Nihil - The Void from Which No Sound Escapes. Maybe not your usual stuff, but give it a shot in free time!

"with roots above and branches below" was the one that got my attention
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this with you and hearing ur thoughts. Thanks!
we were not ready for this track. Unbelievable
Love all their stuff since I heard Still Fly in middle school. But it was Dead Throne that really did it for me
Great reaction! I think you’ll also like in your head by Death Blooms!
Bruh I would love them if all their songs were like this
You know I'm ready for that OM&M song 🖤❤🖤
I think they are incredible I. Find myself humming the chorus.
