This is a really underrated drama. From the actors' overflowing chemistry to storytelling and cinematography. Encounter is one of my all-time favorite k-dramas.
It was not underrated... It was one of the most highest ratings on cable TV.. It was just not overhyped because of the malicious rumors... But still a successful one... Now they are airing it again on TV. Asia...
Encounter for me is the best Korean drama I've ever seen... can't get over it and keep watching it over and over again. Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo was a perfect match 👌
I don't know why some people didn't like this drama. This has one of the most chill and romantic story. For me it's a 1000/10. I always re-watch it in the monsoon season.
What can I say? This is my favr KDRAMA. I could not get over it so i watched other dramas but i kept on coming back to this. I just love it. And the fact that it was Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo gave the drama justice. The feels....

This drama gives a pure form of loving connections. It reflects upon what love is about through delicate contrasts among desires to control others, capacities of giving space to others, projections of worthlessness onto others, and trusting others. I adore PBG and SHK’s acting. I wish that PBG and SHK find his/her own true love in their personal lives.
i really love the cinematography, the way they shoot, it is almost like a magic. What makes this drama beautiful is how they developed the emotions thru books and paintings. Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum nailed every words by adding some emotions and carried us away with it.

All I can say is OMGoodness. This is one of the first dramas I watched with the exceptionally good looking Mr. Park Bo Gum. He and his beautiful Star Actress Song Hye Kyo did a phenomenal job. I laughed I cried. I loved this Drama. I have watched it over and over again. Can't wait to see more.
I have watched this drama for the 9th time already in just a week. I kept on replaying it everytime I finish it. I love the story, the casts, the OST. It's very heartwarming. Since I like song hye kyo, I started rewatching all her dramas beginning endless love where I first got to know her, and then just found this in netflix last saturday and started watching it, and now currently on my 9th time watching it. I got hooked up with the simplicity but heartwarming story of this drama. I so love the soundtracks. I would say that this is my 2nd favorite of SHKs dramas, 1st is full house. All the casts played their role very well. I laugh and cried in this drama. I love the chemistry between SHK and PBG. 👏🌸

I only watched Encounter this year 2021, and I’ve viewed it for many times, and I couldn’t remember anymore how many times I have watched it, and still watching. The characters especially that of Song Hyekyo and Park Bogum gave justice to the story, plus the soundtracks made it a perfect love story. Despite the challenges, difficult situations, wrong feelings because of the past, it only showed that PERFECT LOVE TRIUMPHS, and it lasts FOREVER no matter what. I love this Korean drama more than Descendants of the Sun. And I enjoyed watching the main characters, they are lovely together and both are brilliant actors. I hope they could do more stories like this together. For me, It’s a 5 star Korean drama. God bless!

I honestly dont understand why people love k dramas, tho I watched a few k drama I still dont understand whats the fuss all about korean drama. Oh well now I know...I honestly cannot believe that i became a fan of Kyo. I am starting to watch decendants..few episodes already but i cant say I like. I keep on re watching encounter tho and I dont know why...anyways I share your thoughts....😁

A simple and romantic K-drama with so many underlying topics which were well depicted ! A beautiful couple : the chemistry works rater well. What a pity this K-drama is underrated ! I discovered it one month ago. And now I am watching it for the second time. I am a European viewer, so I don't know if Korean people will read my message : I would like to congratulate the whole crew for the quality of acting. I know that each year, so many K-dramas are released. So maybe everything is fastly forgotten but this one is wonderfully romantic. Bye everybody and let's campaign for more and more viewers ! There are so many ways to enlight this K-drama throughout Asia but also in Europe if we gather as a benevolent team !

For instance, we can start a kind of survey targeted to 50 RUclips posts / site dedicated to ENCOUNTER by explaining we want to pay tribute to this underrated K-drama and we need an "army" of genuine follower in order to prepare either a specific convention in South Korea either an live on-line event with large excerpts from ENCOUNTER. What ever the event that will be taken place, it wii be for freeof course. That means also, try to contact Korean channels, screenplay and so on. It can be an interesting project. Maybe we will get the same as for the Descendants of the Sun. I mean, not a sequel but a specific episode with the best romantic moment and maybe psychological background of the main characters. Who can look at Bogum’s wonderful, smiling face and his winning smile and not fall in love with him? And what guy can look at her much touted beautiful face and not be drawn to it? As they did playing their roles here. And it does a well put together very romantic storyline. Great drama watching for us.🤗👏💕🌺
WOW! Baek A Yeon delivers this song with all her heart and soul. I love the tone of her voice, sounding lamentation, longing & love, piercing the hearts of her listeners. This song was played in perfect timing at the end of Ep. 7 when lovesick So Hyun drove to Sokcho to be with Jin Hyuk. Then again at the end of Ep. 13 when So Hyun chose to go to Jin Hyuk's family instead of her ex-mother-in-law's house. Tugs the heart strings.

Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo performed superbly in their roles and their chemistry is so magical! They filmed in extremely cold weather and the schedule was so tight that 2 days before the finale, they were still filming! Such professionalism and dedication has resulted in a beautiful love story and this is possible because of the beautiful arts and meaningful lines and the visual beauty of PBG and SHK. Their chemistry is so explosive!! They should win many awards for Best Couple and Best Love story ever!! :) Please costar again!

SHK is the top hallyu star from Korea. No one else can replace her beauty and excellent emotional acting. That's why the PD chose her and has no one else in mind for the role of Cha Soo Hyun. She nailed her role to the max! Love her to the moon!

WOW! Baek A Yeon delivers this song with all her heart and soul. I love the tone of her voice, sounding lamentation, longing & love, piercing the hearts of her listeners. This song was played in perfect timing at the end of Ep. 7 when lovesick So Hyun drove to Sokcho to be with Jin Hyuk. Then again at the end of Ep. 13 when So Hyun chose to go to Jin Hyuk's family instead of her ex-mother-in-law's house. Tugs the heart strings.

Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo performed superbly in their roles and their chemistry is so magical! They filmed in extremely cold weather and the schedule was so tight that 2 days before the finale, they were still filming! Such professionalism and dedication has resulted in a beautiful love story and this is possible because of the beautiful arts and meaningful lines and the visual beauty of PBG and SHK. Their chemistry is so explosive!! They should win many awards for Best Couple and Best Love story ever!! :) Please costar again!

Song hye kyo is one of the excellent actress in south korea.Her all movies and drama series were almost click all to the viewers and fans even in abroad and here in asia.
SHK is the top hallyu star from Korea. No one else can replace her beauty and excellent emotional acting. That's why the PD chose her and has no one else in mind for the role of Cha Soo Hyun. She nailed her role to the max! Love her to the moon!

It's very true.. song hye kyo is one of the best actress in korea...i have seen almost her all drama series or even her some movies but she still best in acting for me.
I have been watching k-drama with my mom and I have to admit Encounter is really special. It is hard to top the experience after watching this. Really beautiful story. Has to be among my top 3 personal favorite k-drama along with Goblin and Black.
