my dad and a few of my friends have go pro and a couple had the hero 2. they have really liked them. The reason i like contour more is because its more versatile. The lens can rotate 180 degrees for side mounting, there are lasers incase you need to make sure you're aiming your shot at the right spot, and the roam has instant record/on switch which means you'll never miss a shot having to turn the camera on
Thanks! that means a lot, I've thought about getting into it for awhile. Definitely something that really interests me! It was a lot of fun, hope all is well!
Nice vids.. I dove in maui few years back and love it. I'm debating which camera to get for my next diving trip. Leaning toward the contour vs go pro hero, did you have any experiences with go pro
Thank you! no filter used and no visual edits to the film besides a scene that's shown in reverse. I'm heading back in a few weeks and plan to make another video
I used the original contour HD. This was their first camera. Any contour now will look much better than the shots I got. The roam is their current camera, it's cheaper and in my opinion better than the go pro 2, and cheaper. The waterproof case is on 15 extra and that still ends up being cheaper than the go pro. Just check out the official contour site or rei

This is amazing! Did you happen to use a Filter on your lense? Thanks!

contour, I like them better than go pro personally
Nice video!
I was wondering if you remember how deep the water was there?
I'd say average was 15 feet but out around the corner probably 25-30

You aren't supposed to be that close to a turtle...
