Yes the room had lots of space. Just enough in our opinion 😊 we thought it was the perfect size! Personally I’m not a tub person but I know some people like a nice soak 👍🏻 I’m sure you would enjoy that room. Thanks for watching 🛳👍🏻
Hello, Im excited to be booking me and my mums first ever cruise on Symphony of the Seas in 2023. Im currently researching but know this is definitely the ship I want our first experience on :) I found your video while youtubing the different rooms available. I have a few Qs if i may? 1.) Can we ask for an upgrade once we are on board if we feel our room is a little on the small side? 2.) Which is better? Balcony facing the park/ boardwalk or balcony facing the ocean? Thank you kindly :)
Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, as far as I know you can usually ask for upgrades onboard. However during these times I think you may be taking a chance on not getting the room you want. Policies are constantly changing along with capacity limits on the ships. If you have your heart set in an upgrade I would suggest booking it ahead of time. You could also wait to see if they send you a Royal Up option. That’s where you can bid on upgrade and hope your bid is accepted. 👍🏻 As for the balcony room option. These are my preferences from first to last. Ocean facing. Central Park. Boardwalk. Oasis Class ships are huge and the majority of views of the actual ocean are from very high decks. With the exception of deck 5 jogging track. See my video on secret spots for a few select ocean view areas to sit. So if you want a view of the sea ( which we do ) I’ll always recommend an ocean view first. Central Park view is very serene, green and beautiful at night. Often you can here a nice soloist concert in the early evening. That is my second choice. The Boardwalk is bustling with sites and sounds. Kids, teen and sport zone areas are directly above it and it seems quite loud at times. Also they show movies and events on 2 large screens there at various times during the day. On a positive note you do get some partial views of the ocean and the aqua theatre. All the rooms are quiet once you close the balcony door. I hope this answers your questions. Keep in mind these are just my personal preferences and everybody is different. Whichever you choose I’m sure you’ll have a great time. Enjoy Thanks for watching. 🛳👍🏻
Was this room noisy? I am leery of rooms near public areas which might have noise from music or people. One time we were in a room that was under the ice cream area and people (kids) were always running up quickly to get ice cream. And then crew members thunked as they serviced the machine. Not too bad in the day, but at night you don't want people running above your head. The room is so convenient, but....?
Hi and thank you for the question. I too am leery of rooms near/above or below public areas or venues. Fortunately we had no issues with this room. We could not hear any bars/music or excessive outside noise. The balcony was unobstructed with no lifeboat directly below it. The only issue we had was during our stop in Roatan when they were doing the lifeboat drill. The noise of the lifeboat being lowered and then replaced sounded like a freight train coming into the room. This happened around 9 to 10 am or so, I think? We just happened to still be in the room when this happened. I think most people would not even be there for this. I talked about this in my last video. Other than that… all good👍🏻 I hope this answered your concerns. Cheers! Thanks for watching👍🏻❤️
To be honest the Bathroom is TINY and unnecessarily so given the size of the room. With all that empty space between the bed and the balcony, as well as the massive closet, they could easily have made the bathroom two to three times as big which would have been more enjoyable than empty space and a largely unfilled closet. The ability to soak in a BIG tub in the privacy of your room as well as do all your bathroom things with plenty of shoulder room will be a more enjoyable use of space than a 15 second interaction with a closet to grab a jacket or whatever.
Hope you enjoy our videos. 😊

All good points.
I also felt the tub was a little small and maybe could have used a stand-alone shower.
Thanks for watching🛳👍🏻
