Copper wire was invented by two Yorkshire men fighting over a penny
What a really nice video. Just refreshing seeing a dad & his kid having some banter together.
I can think of several school puddings I had at school and I was born in the 90s. To name a few:
- Chocolate tart with pink custard.
- Chocolate sponge with chocolate custard
- Jam Roly Poly
- Lemon love cake
- Manchester tart
- Sticky toffee pudding
- Marble sponge
- Eve's pudding
- Apple pie and crumble
- Rice pudding with jam or a bit of brown sugar
- Coconut tart
- Cornflake tart
I do remember the dinner ladies being bloody tight with their portion sizes. "Can I have some more, please?!"
Even the Telegraph now acknowledges the EV dream is actually a nightmare:-
Electric cars cost twice as much to insure as petrol and diesel vehicles
Higher prices blamed on frequent insurance claims and complex technology
Lee your vlogs with your daughter are brilliant she's honest and funny and her swearing is fantastic...
“I fought you’d fell out wiv me, like the rest of them people you film wi”. Proper Mansfield accent. I love it. And telling it like it is, as well.
It’s good to have Paige back in the vlogs.
What's going on with Paiges' eyebrows 🤣
Paige, you can read her like a book lol
You read. I browse. Talking of eyebrows... 🤔
I’m astonished that there are still places in England that have half-day closing. I thought that all stopped in the nineteen-eighties.
That's when Yorkshire stopped modernising! 🙂
@@hamshackleton wot when they moved the privy into 'ouse, and kept tin Bath on 'ook behind kitchen door.Fitted bathrooms my a....... unt fanny hee hee
VAT-20% added 3.61 onto your bill. Value added tax....what a joke...
Paige was on time, all she did was fail to predict how late you would be due to charging.
If you're off to Australia, then you'd better practice the 'Aussie salute'. You'll see everyone doing it constantly. They use it effectively to swat away the ferocious flies.
I’ve never seen so many people eat with their fork upside down until I started watching your channel 😂
That’s the correct way to use a fork! The food is gathered using the fork and knife and placed in the mouth rather than piling the food on the fork and bringing your mouth to the food shovelling it to an open gob!
I deally it's a fork not a shovel 😀!
Fell out with me like the rest of the people you work with …. That’s harsh lol 😂😂😂
Lol. 😂 She's a one.
What has she done to her eye brows! Is it the latest fashion?
Oh you let the secret out, you were Sharon's toy boy! 6 years younger. The potatoes looked good, plenty of filling.
Rumour has it that the macmaster also sent the tap water back for being too dry aswell 🤷🏻🤪
I remember pink custard was with chocolate cake when I was at school.
To make it a proper school meal custard, like my school, the custard has to be as runny as water!
Any chance of revisiting Neil Morriseys the plume of of feathers again this year Lee! I was there last weekend with the missus, you have to try what ever pie they have on if you do go, I had the steak and ale pie and it was full of meat, which just melted in my mouth. Highly recommend Lee
I've lived in South Africa for over 40 years now but born and raised in London and you just don't lose the accent, I was chatting up the ladies at a local pharmacy the other day and a customer with a broad Yorkshire accent piped up "I'll recognise that accent anywhere", knew straight away that I was a Londoner, so I asked him if it was really obvious because after so long I didn't believe it was but yes, apparently it is.
I have to admit I've never heard of cornflake tart 🤦 pink custard.....those were the good old days! I'm glad you found somewhere to eat after walking around town for hours 😅
As you will recall, in the USA we usually have Baked Potatoes with butter, cheese and bits of streaky bacon, what they call 'Loaded.' I have never seen a Baked Potato topped with coleslaw but people can put whatever they like on their potato. LOL.
😊😊😊😊 I agree with the divorce thing I am still friends with my x because of the children and staying civil kids feel wanted not divided. Great lunch love Paige.😊😊😊😊😊You both are cracking me up. She is so funny great to see you both having fun. Jacket pots look like a 10 to me.😊😊😊😊
£21.65 I wouldn`t say insane. Two tins of pop I guess you`re looking at £2 a drink in a restaurant. Maybe £5.50 for nice dessert. £6 each for jackets and toppings. Seemed fair to me.
God bless her . She's tried her best.
Love it! 👍
And i’d just like to say I’ve appeared in 1 of Lee’s vlogs & we’ve not fallen out. Even if we were both near naked & he had his hand up & down my leg!😂 #OoerMissus
Lol. 😂
Well at least you got to see your daughter and got some steps in! 😂
I dont see any problem m8. I'm 63 nearly 64 and my youngest is nearly 8.Her mum is 35 which is 2 months older than my eldest son who will be 35 in March. Mjxxx
Theyebrows what she done ?? 😅
My mother was one of 6 daughters. There was a 20 year gap between oldest and youngest. So the youngest daughter was younger than her eldest sister's son. Ain't families wonderful!
My dad had an uncle who was younger than him, used to say they were cousins.
Kinda neat for us from elsewhere, to see the famous Sherwood Forest area. At least you found a spot to eat. Cheers!
Yay paige back, it nice to see her on the vlog and u definite need do more vlog with her like she said she felt neglected bless her and it nice to have father daughter time not spent time oversea too much
Went to school in Scarborough remember cornflake tart and custard we also had chocolate sponge and pink sauce another favorite was Date crumble
Watch out your headlights are in danger 😮 Have you seen that Taycan in Germany!!
i moved from woodhouse to skeggy nearly 20 yrs ago and a lot of people think im yorkshire because i got broad accent. and tell your lad its cob not breadcake
Grear to see Paige again. Thank you to you both - this one really cheered me up! And yes, we're still waiting for news about Paige's new kitchen 😂
Great vlog Lee with your daughter Paige and good to see her back. The thumbnail had me in stitches and talk about getting your revenge with an ooh and an ahh! Poor Paige everyone looking. Nice looking place for a lunch time meal. Lee you should try out “Spudman” who has a stall up in Tamworth apparently he’s got TikTok red hot with his baked spuds and a variety of fillings. People are literally queuing up for his hot spuds. Anyway nice vlog Lee.
hi lee im 55 ,56 in february my eldest daughter is now 33 i have a son 35 , he has kids now, i also have a 20yr old daughter and a 9 yr old daughter so i know where your coming from! ..much like you i was a bit of a lad back in the day and wanted everything in a skirt but now as an older guy i cherish my youngest daughter with my 43 yr old wife ( third marriage) we get on great and love being married to eachother ..point being having children as an older man is definatly better that doing it young…your just out having a laugh all the time but now im a proper family man at almost 56..ive been there done that and got the t shirt so ya definatly having a youngster around the house is great for me now, iwouldnt change that for the world!..love your channel mate !
Oh yeah! It's Australia for a month innit! Brilliant 😄👍🏻Can't wait for all of those vlog's. Have a great time Lee. 🍻
What do you think to the trend of Taycan headlight units being cut out of cars to use for hydroponic weed growing systems? You seen the photo?
Aww I was quite touched when you talked about your family mate, shows you love them all very much nevermind what all the naysayers say.
Oh and yellowstone is on paramount+, which is free it you have Sky Cinema 😁
Great vlog Lee & Paige, the ‘Key Board Warrior’ especially made me laugh, More more more please from you both 👍🏻
Top class meal Lee phenomenal food great content again.
Nice to see Paige again. Mjxxx
A nice lunch and special time dad abd daughter so sweet and your grandson/granddaughter ❤
Itd be great to have you down here on the south coast in Eastbourne!
Your daughter missed a treat not naming her channel ThePaigeMaster. Love Cornflake tart. I'm an early 80's baby and only ever remember having regular custard with mine at school. I remember having a hard brown chocolate square with crystallised sugar on top and pink custard at school though. Now there's a pudding I'd like to find again
Brilliant Video 👍! My kids do this to me too, great times 🥰.
Thank you for everything xx
Thank you. x
@@TheMacMaster no worries have a couple of coffees on me 👍
Welcome back Paige, we have missed you.💞
Shame that the lunch was so expensive and a bit meh.
Hope you can find a better place next time.🙂👍💕
You should do more blogs with your daughter lee great fora good laugh lol❤😊😊
My favourite was cornflake tart not had it since school tho i remember chocolate doorstep /concrete with pink custard nice to see Paige 😊
Your daughter is wonderful. Loved the video.
What a lovely daughter you have Lee , love her personally ,hummer and even the bad language, she made the video 😂😂 .
Very good and the food looked good even if it did not taste good. and your daughter seems like a lovely girl. Well done.
Where's all this foul language coming from Paige? Honestly i had to stick carrots in my ears through most of that lol😂
Kevin Costner , an American, was just brilliant as Robin Hood in 1991! So was Errol Flynn , an Australian 🇦🇺, in 1938 . Jacket potatoes 🥔? Clearly inspired by the infamous Spudman from TikTok. Anyway great banter between the Davey duo .
WOW, weird eyebrows.
Rude
@@missliverpoolcatlady The truth is rude sometimes
Should do a crossover with Gary Eats sometime..he was at a similar place in your area
Mayo with Chips always ! Lol
when we were school age we were told robin hood came from shropshire
Hey Hun those jackets spuds looks nice . my score is a 4 . and its lovely to see. Paige again . that cornflake tart looked OK . oh what a day .. LOL xxx
Tell Paige to put her eyebrows back to normal they spoil her nice face
Is Paige using iron filings for her eyebrows? ;)
rude
That cornflake tart looks delicious!
Page is amazing. Actually you do speak a bit of French, Page, as loo comes from the French phrase 'guardez l'eau'😁. Loved the vlog guys.
as the kids grow they can call you grand dad or great grandad lol
Thank you for the Yellowstone shout out, I work on that very show! 🎥
Love your videos Lee, reminds me of home.
Good for you pal, we are in the same boat, Lee's food video's really hit home.
Cool!
We miss the blonde angel hope she is back soon
If you want a decent jacket potato get yourself to Tamworth and go see the Spudman.
Yes I saw that on rate my takeaway.
Look absolutely amazing!
Poor they brought the pudding out too soon.
Nice to see you and Paige.😘
I love this video Lee. I find your reviews very informative and watch all your videos especially those with Geoff. More please. 😂
Be nice to see you do more videos with your daughter page
Great vlog Lee, nice to see Paige again. We think you are going to Australia soon, and dropping off in Thailand to visit Geoff Carter for a few days, on the way?? ❤❤
0n your last legs probably stuck in a eV ambulance charging😅😅😅
Quality guys thanku 😊
Nice to see Father and Daughter getting on so well 🤣🤣
Have a good trip to Australia!
I love Edwinstowe, such a charming village. I've enjoyed many a superb Sunday lunch in The Forest Lodge Hotel.
Started out as a food vlog but ended up as an endurance test on the buggies wheel bearings.
Wait a minute....Piage's food was HOT??? Martin is always complaining about that the food gets cold by the time you finished with the B-rolls....Martin....Martin...😜😆😆
Should have gone to the chippy!
10:20 ~ That is like Boston accent here in the US: Cahh, pahhk. 😁 So we blame the Brits for the Boston accent! 😋
Sherwood Forest visitor centre vs American theme parks - ridiculous comparison. The intention at Sherwood is the countryside, the Major Oak and fresh air. Theme parks in the USA are frighteningly expensive and plastic. Give me Sherwood any day.
And those prices were fair! You’d pay a lot more in the USA. I think the long walk made you lose the plot.
Another great video lee. Keep up the good work 👍
Are you flying out to meet Darren in Prague? 🤣🤣🤣
He's not there now, that was weeks ago.
The Kostner movie of Robin Hood was not so good, but the late Alan Rickman stole the show as an over-the-top Sheriff of Nottingham.
She had you over there lee 😂 funny vlog mate. 👍🏴
Paige is right, Yellowstone is Brilliant, not your normal Kevin Costner in this role .....
Yellowstone 🤔 not a fan of Kevin but if it has wolves and other north American animals in it i may have to give it a watch
Great to see Paige again.. brill video, very entertaining.... Many thanks for it :)
My daughter is always late too. She will be 34 this year. I understand every word your daughter speaks.
I’m 52 and my youngest daughter is 21 this year
Call The Man in The Hat - he needs you...
Brilliant to see Paige back 😊
Oy! YOU didn't have Paige or Katelan - you might have been involved in MAKING them, but your wife, Sharon, did all the having! 🙂 - - - When you are on the way out of this world, you might find you are sitting in a queue for a car charger! - - Robin robbed the rich to give to the poor - the government robs from the poor to give to the rich! - - - Never rated cornflake pie, my favourite was the chocolate rock-cake that you had to glue onto the plate with the custard, or everyone got some! But that custard looked ok, not the usual runny yellow water that is offered! - - Word of advice - Don't go looking for a pub meal in Wales on a Sunday! - - Going for a long flight - has to be Oz or the Falklands!
Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves was partly filmed in Cheshire on the border near Wrxham-at Beeston/ Burwardsley ad Oekforton Castle(s)
I remember a notice in the jobcentre window for extras for the crowd scenes.
That Bryan Adams song they played it to the death , I remember that. Was like 18 weeks at number one or summit. 😂
Get yourself to the Old Malt Cross on St James Street Nottingham I’d be interested on your view of their food !!
Great videos guys - you make a great double act tbf hahaha
You’re lucky you’re in Britain and can get jacket potatoes. They are one of my faves but few and far between in Australia. I’ve never tried the anti diabetic sweet cornflake tart. Glad you got a meal anyway.
