I remember watching that night just being floored at how random that attack was and how many members they had along with their sheer viciousness of the attack. Beating up ring announcers, commentators, refs, tearing up the ring. It was jaw dropping

    • @Matt-cr4vv
      @Matt-cr4vv Год назад +3

      Brock’s first year was dominant no doubt. But I’d still give it to Kurt because of when it happened. Kurt won the European, IC, WWE title and King of the Ring all in his first year on the main show but it was during a time of the most stacked roster the WWF basically ever had. Brock had a ridiculous year too no doubt - if you extend it just a couple weeks past a true year he won the wwe title twice, royal rumble, and king of the ring. But Brock did that when they were lacking Austin and Rock and actively trying to replace them and had show exclusive titles. It’s still impressive but what Kurt did with genuinely the most stacked competition he could have to do it just edges it a fraction for me over Brock - but I can get the argument for either and don’t think there’s a wrong answer per se.

Just long enough for people to forget about the talk of Kane, and then the match, Taker is about to win and go on to fight Bret, when suddenly, lights go out, we hear Kane's music, and out he comes with Paul Bearer to rip the cage door off and attack Taker. I think I was 11 or 12 when Santino debuted so I actually bought the whole “a random fan got called out and somehow won the belt” thing and naturally thought it was awesome ar the time. But wild to not have Taz on the list because his debut was dope.

    The Ringmaster's debut was better than rousey.

    Bayleys main roster debut deserved to be in the top 20-25

    Wyatt Family is another one. Are they top 10? No. But I could make an argument for maybe 20/21. Came out, surrounded Kane, beat down Kane.

    WWE seems to mix rightful rankings with who they want to spotlight in the company today, and put down who's not in the company.

    Sounds like WWE being petty as usual with their rankings. While I wasn’t a Jericho fan at the time, even I was like, wtf when he showed up on Raw. Social media wasn’t a thing back then. You had to call wrestling hotlines and read wrestling magazines or blogs made by hardcore fans whom had the inside scoop in those days. Kane’s debut would be my number one. You mentioned Taz and again, WWE being petty as fuck. Taz definitely deserves top 3 and Nexus. Not since the NWO days where they used to tear down the WCW sets had we seen carnage like that. Easily top 5. I would have added Paul Wight aka Big Show to the list. His debut was shocking to me. Thought he would be a WCW guy thru and thru.

    Kane is easly up if not the best. Nexus Debut was probably the greatest debut of a group mabye ever they way the destroyed Cena and all others! The Ring was destroyed and they had so huge Impact from night one (Summerslam 2010 killed it sadly) Shield was the overall easly better Group but their Debut wasn't like the Nexus one.
