- Follow along as I create a custom resin crank handle to fit my new printing press. The molds were all designed in Fusion 360, and then 3D printed out on my LulzBot 3D printer. I also included a brief overview of the new Takach etching press!
* I say handle in the video...I mean crank*

Takach press! What a beast!
Found you a few years ago. I've always been interested in block printing. Finally tried it with all this home time and had a blast! Of course, I had to go back and watch your series on getting started. I dont have a press, so I had to make myself a baren. Maybe if I keep going, I'll invest in a small press. Thanks for the inspiration!
That's awesome! It's terrible the reason we are all stuck at home, but happy to hear you're making the best of it! I'm also printing by hand from home these days, and it's been a blast, even if it's a little more work. Thanks for sticking around and checking out the new videos.
@@DiodePress thanks for continuing to make them! I'm working on my second print now and scavenging various papers from sketchbooks and watercolor books I have laying around to try. Part of the fun has been trying to make due with what I have available. I've been pondering all week if I can turn my drill press into a Gutenberg style press. 😋
AvE sent me to check up on the t-shirt design :)
Came here from AVE. Make that Canadian some shirts, and I just might buy one
Congratulations, real glad for you! I know exactly how it feels when you get the press you want - may it serve you good and make you enough money for a new (even wider) one, but in doing so may it also financially allow you to keep this one - because it's a cutie
Hey ! All OK ? Take care and be happy, man !
Thanks for checking in! Moved studios and had a baby, so still getting back into the swing of things, but more projects to come soon!
You sir, are a flipping genius! Excellent work as always.
Looks very good
That's a great upgrade. I've got a few presses that I use for die cuts, and have always wanted to change the handle on them.
It's not too late! This was a small upgrade, but it makes it much more user friendly given the space I have it in!
@@DiodePress all mine are put up for the time being, but one day... soon... They will have a proper work space to live in.😤
Great work!!
Love those Takache Press's . Almost pulled the trigger on one.
It was a big investment, but it's so nice, and should last a lifetime!
excellent mold! those 4 logos could be one? thanks for sharing :)
Ave sent me
What will you be doing with your old press?
I sold it to a local printmaker. I was going to keep it, but I did not see myself using it.
