You want at least 50 trees connected to the shack to fill the tank in a timey manner. I believe by the time your next video comes out the update will hit. In that update the syrup federation sells more tree saps at once (30 a day up from 10). So you should be able to get 50 trees connected in no time.
Also you might be interested in an additional means of income. I would highly suggest taking a look in the wind turbines.
Whats in the wind turbines? I looked in one and all it had was an emtpy red box

One full barrel of maple syrup is around $250 I think, if I am right you make like $50 and you do not get your barrel back, you have to buy a new one. You make better profit from the pizza job!
