Got the “Santa Cruz Winkowski “DopePlanet” deck a week or so ago to hang in my collection. I liked it so much I had to find another to skate and of coarse I ordered the Indy 8baller trucks and orange Winkowski SlimeBalls in 60 mm 95a must like ones I skated vert with in the 80’s. The graphic is matte finish. Very nice. Quality is up there. You should make a VX Everslick version and also just VX and just Everslick. Love the shape, concave, rocker, square tail, double angle tail, and mellow nose. Love the width and length. Very stable. Nice in transition.

Front side to learn with no vert that's a tall order, but you got it!, As you say I gotta go talk to some people about how this works I can't help but think " he's gonna go ask salba."
Love the shape of this board not a soulless popsicles… noticed price increase though…..maybe one day we can get some reissues we haven’t seen like a Malba or a Toyota or maybe even a Grosso tribute for his son…

This board will give you backside airs. And plenty other tricks. Literally just fucking gives you them. And this board specifically gives you style. It's one of the best boards made.

Those are dope. I have a Winkowski Primeval set up with of 54.5 78as. Really fun and smooth cruising in the crappy paved streets and hitting curbs and ledges.

The skateboard is cool I like the deck
Stoked that I was able to get this deck. This is my first time building a board. Going to build it with Independent 169s, 1/4 inch risers, Powell Peralta G-Bones 64mm wheels, Zealous Ceramic built-in bearings. Maybe add side rails and tailskid. Will that work?
Yes 169 is my go to truck I only ride big boards NO popsicle shapes for me ever and either will work well; I just went with 159s like Erick rides because of cut outs on this deck makes 159s perfect! I had a set of both 159/169 but 159s just fit the bill so either truck will work great with these Winkowski decks. I purchased 2 “DopePlanet” decks; one to hang in my collection and one I’m currently skating w/ indy 159s and Winkowski (orange) SlimeBalls 60 mm 95a and this has to be my favorite set-up I’ve had in years for my local park. It is PERFECT for transition in pools, rails, hubbas, platforms, & step-ups. If you are wondering if you should pull the trigger and buy; don’t think twice. Go FOR IT! This deck is the best Santa Cruz has put out in years; now I’m looking for ALL his other graphics for my collection!#SantaCruz#Winkowski#🛹❤️🤘🏻@matt g
Just remember if you mount tail bone (tailskid) most people do not care for it if you ever consider resale; those holes are there forever like a tattoo. I been in the game since 86’ and we used to install a nosebone to protect nose, tailbone to protect tail skid ( it will hinder your ollie) , and rails ( the only one I still use) that protect your graphic somewhat; mainly helps with grabs on airs & makes your deck slide better on curbs or coping. Don’t know many; if any at all that would want tailbone unless it’s your personal preference; to each his own when it comes to your personal deck. Just a little advice from one who has been around the block a few times!#Lol#🛹🤘🏻❤️@matt g

@@mattskones They released these to some shops in really small quantities. Most of the people who work at these shops kept them for themselves to sell for a lot more on eBay, but a few of the places with integrity actually sold them at (or close to) retail price. If it wasn’t a supply chain issue, I’m guessing it was all done to drive up hype because the colorway isn’t great compared to last versions. Once NHS drops them next month some of the bigger board retailers will probably have tons of them.
@@XenBeats I noticed, the NHS website changed the availability from Feb 2022 to March 2022. And I saw they are out in Europe. The site I ordered from hat then at retail. 80.95 (same as NHS) went back later just to see if they still had em and they here marked to up 86.95, but were still selling.
@@mattskones yeah there’s something weird going on with the drop. I live in Santa Cruz and the shops here don’t even have them yet. My friends and I were able to order one each from CCS but then they cancelled all the orders. Then suddenly a reseller popped up based out of Portland (ccs headquarters) selling a bunch of them lol. Shady business. Really this colorway doesn’t warrant the hype though. Once they release all their stock I bet they’ll be some floating around in stores like with the last 2 Winkowski drops.
