      Short of, miller actually sold big boss to cipher (zero) in MGPW to fund the MSF (in the ground zero events and the Chipre hospital was thanks to zero), also he took the MSF and converted into a very profitable business of war economy, that the big boss wasn't intended to do, he wanted a nation to be free from anyone and country, so miller was untrustworthy, only ocelot remained 100% loyal no matter what, they shared similar or same vision,

    When I listen to this now I think of Paz in Ground Zeroes. They were enemies but in those final moments where Boss had her whimpering on his back and she tried to spare him by jumping off the chopper even though she knew she was about to blow up. It was definitely a bittersweet end for their complicated relationship. It would have been interesting to know what would have become of them both had she survived, and whether they could have formed a similar friendship.

    What I'm wondering is, considering his lust for revenge toward Skull Face later on, why didn't Kaz hold a grudge against Snake for wiping out his older unit? Sure he saved his life but from Kaz's point of view that could have been a worse insult.

    • @MyVanir
      @MyVanir 8 лет назад +80

      Probably because, unlike Skull Face, BB beat him fair and square and showed himself to be a decent person afterwards - Skull Face was just a scumbag. Besides, it was also the fact that Skull Face was working for Cypher and Kaz worked with Cypher for a time. Besides, his unit was essentially folk he had a professional relationship with - MSF was family.

    It's obvious that he was a double-sleeping-agent-thing, just like Paz. Kaz was on Cypher's side since before the day they met, giving intel to Zero and Ocelot and all that crap. That's why Kaz carried Paz and Zadornov to ol' base at San Hieronymo, Colombia. That's why he has this misterious past based in finding hidden relatives who didn't knew or recognize him. And that's why he did that thing of "trying to kill himself to kill Snake". All to gain his confidence and then stab him in the back.

      From the trailers we have seen, in example in the one where Quiet jumped out of the helicopter onto Mother Base, we saw that Miller and Snake seem to not 100% agree on everything anymore. It even seems like Miller doesn't obey Snake anymore, but wants to be a leader himself. He seems to be even more vengeance seeking than Snake in my eyes. So, Miller is maybe even more a monster than Snake is, really. There are many things I hope that will happen and be explained in Phantom Pain. I would love to see how Snake meets Sniper Wolf and what happens to Frank Jaeger. Surprisingly he wasn't mentioned in PW a single time, despite what happened in PO (not gonna spoil you if you haven't played it).

      foxhound6364 look it up man. It was huge news a couple years ago. Voice actor for miller confirmed it was him talking to skull face to drug Paz in the ground zeroes tapes. And in mgsv mission 30: skullface you find diamond dog crates right before the helicopter scene when Miller is telling you to hurry up to the heliport.
      This game is deeper than your tiny brain. Look up he information and listen to this tape again. Miller tried to blow himself up to kill big boss but big boss didn’t let him. Miller being a true samurai would get his revenge and he did. Big boss destroyed most of Miller’s unit and Miller did the same to big boss while also trying to blow big boss up again along with himself. Dumbass.

    It seems that Big Boss is rather ignorant to the form in which the IJA back in WWII practiced bushido (or perhaps a part of Kojima's partisan political initiative as a Japanese national) given to their track-record of suicidal tactics, it would hardly be surprising that any so-called samurai of modern time would use a kamikaze tactic. They do not fear death and when they are faced with death at the hands of their enemies, they intend to take them down with them.

    Peace Walker was a good game, but I hated how you had mission selections and basically every conversation via cassette. I knew MGS5 was going to go that direction but I really hoped it didnt. Why have open world if you're only going to make us drop out into a select screen? Silly Kojima.

      Tydeus Your profile made me think how great an open world Evil Dead or Army of Darkness game could be. Shame Bruce Campbell retired.

      It was on the PSP, with hardware that limited it was incredibly hard to implement cutscenes and dialogue.
      The PS4 on the other hand it was made possible to implement them, that's why we got them in MGS V.

    Maybe Gray Fox was the one who mutilated Miller and Big Boss turned to Gray Fox and that's why Miller hates him? (Just a theory)

    Jesus christ why do most Japanese games have gay overtones? I didn't notice it at first but when I introduced MGS to my girlfriend, she would constantly go on and on about how gay Kaz and Snake are. And when I go back I think to myself "How didn't I notice this?". It's pretty fucking obvious when you hear Kaz reminiscing and says "I remember it like it was yesterday".

      It's about loyalty and mutual respect, maybe your girlfriend doesn't have the right mindset for these types of games in which character development and human emotions such as companionship, admiration and devotion are abundant. And i can tell you are one of those people that if they tell you yesterday was monday, you would believe it even though it was really saturday.

      ultrix soma Oh come on. Really? I was just sharing something funny. Personally all the gay overtones make it even more entertaining. Why do you think I plan on getting FFXV? When I was playing the demo with my girlfriend we joked about how the main character looks like a fucking dork, and how his voice doesn't match how he looks.

    A little fucked though, innit? Suicide bombing might get the mission done but it's such a last resort tactic, ya know? All I can think about is Jon Berenthal's Punisher commenting on terrorists with bombs and how cowardly it is. Two top soldiers with vastly different opinions. Snake holds it in high regard though. IDK. I fell off of MGS after 4, never played the handhelds.
