In Dungeon of the Endless you also don’t need to worry how many doors are left for research. The last room automatically completes the current research. Research projects are never “lost”.
I just got someone Dungeon of the Endless as a gift and when I did I was thinking "Is this pointless? is it going to be totally absolute when Endless Dungeon comes out?" so I appreciated this video. I think the answer is no, they seem different enough that it might be worth playing both, or someone who likes one might not like the other.
It sounds like they have removed much of the charm of Dungeon of the Endless and made it more like a simple generic top-down shooter. Quite disappointing.
Dust as a resource, food to level up, items to keep and potentially swap, shops to buy and sell on different resources, electricity to keep track of and strategize to place modules, all of them add depth to the gameplay and now all of that is gone in favor of a generic top-down shooter.
Seeing most people complaining about Endless dungeon being dumbed down. Honestly happy it is. Couldn't get into Dungeon of the Endless due to how complicated it was. Its also looking like they are 2 different games so they can be enjoyed as separate experiences as opposed sequels of one another.

Is this game officially released, I have been looking for "Endless Dungeon" but only get rumors.
