Tarja is still making music and touring, she's doing a lot of different projects as a solo artist, both heavy and classical. She's released plenty of albums and she has a few musicians who are essential parts of her work and have been with her for a long time.
She most recently released a song together with Marko Hietala, former Nightwish bassist and singer. It's called Left on Mars. :)
She's so much happier and more free now as a solo artist, you can really tell. :) I loved her with Nightwish, but I adore her solo work, too! She's incredible!

Tarja has 19 solo albums. Yes, she's that popular.
Tuomas gave her a letter, told her not to open it till the next day. Then released that letter that night to the public, which fired her and bashed her, trying to sabatoge her career.
Most likely the real reason she was fired, was she was married to someone not named Tuomas.

Tarja has her solo career. It has over 80 concerts a year: rock, classical and Dark Christmas concerts. There is a lot of fan videos of her concerts on the internet, but the last professionally recorded one is her Circus Life concert in 2020. She released 3 albums last year: a recording of a live concert from 2016, an electronic chill album Outlanders and Dark Christmas. There are official videos for all tracks from these albums. She should release a new rock album this year. Marko Hietala released a new duet Left on Mars a month ago, where Tarja sang with him. This year they toured together in South America and have a European tour coming up. Tarja is a solo artist, so she doesn't have a fixed band, but she cooperates with some musicians for a long time.

Yes, Tarja is that popular😁 There is no need for her to use her Family name as an artits name... plus this makes it a lot simpler.
She made a name for herself and she actually well known in the metal scene. Whats more iconic her band is her own name, now that’s a true legend and icon.

The festival was in Poland. Anywhere from 250 000, to 750 000 estimated crowd size. Attendance is free. Tarja was the headliner. This was a Saturday night summer 2016.
The name woodstock a nod to the famous US concert but not affliated.
The name has changed. The show continues.
She has a world wide following whom she calls her winter storm. That was tge name of her 1st solo rock album in 2008.
There was a Christmas album in 06 that she had bwenn working.on back in her days with NW. She was upfront about her next contracted album and tour being her last and She would not re-sign with the band or label.
Though she was co-founder with Tuomas and Emppu.
She led them up front for 9 years. The last 4 with Marko in the band.
After her departure, the band held tryouts. Swedish singer Anettw Olzen (Olsen) was chosen. And was there for 2 albums until pregnancy and ill health forced her off stage. And the band may have forced her out.
Plans in place moved forward to bring long time friend of the band Floor in to replace Anette.
Tarja was accepted and loved by fans as a solo artist. Not afraid to experiment with neq sounds as she grew as a person and artist.
