RRB in a little shop where custom fiberglass parts takes shape.. I'm sure you're getting sick of it but we are not! I can't wait for your next build already. Sky is the limit baawb!
can tell Bob is a pro glass guy. when ever Bob is going to grind or cut fiberglass. he turns on the fan first. that is the sign of a pro right there. and not blowing into his backside and away the front side. allways from the right or left side. yeap a pro right there.
Bob love the vids! I do a lot of glass work and if you send me a mailing address i will send you some micro balloons. Add that to the glass when you need to thicken it up. Also, use baby powder on bare skin to keep ya from itching!!! Keep on truck my brother! Scotty
Hey Bob I've been watching you pretty much since the beginning and I watched you evolve in regards to your RUclips channel... I like this format, I bet you're a watch time is going up!
Watch time is going up but views are going down. Lot's of folks are looking for entertainment and not long detailed education videos. I'm no entertainer, nor want to be. I thought it would be nice to show what it's really like to do this stuff.
Lots of guys been commenting about itchy fiberglass. I worked with it for 35 years and it really never made me itch. I think it's a myth. Maybe the insulation for houses, but this stuff no. Looking good Bob. 😉✌
Missouri is not close to Mississippi, but I give points for identifying the first 4 letters but I deduct points for not reading the first reply stating he's in Mississippi 😂
🗿💨 back in the day two busted up Corvettes got back on the road because fiberglass repair was one of the trades i had picked up. Appreciate these vidyas Bob. Gives a guy a refresher course without fighting the dust.✌️ Peace
Absolutely Bob. Looks great. Too good for a RAT ROD. I really do like it a lot. If I had money I would be tempting the Heck out of YOU. Waving a fist full of green stuff at ya. That was a great idea using them panels to finish the sides.
Always great to watch you make something out of nothing. One of the best things I have found to attach panels and parts together is a rivnut tool. Those clips that you are using don't get along with me too well. . Awesome job as usual Bob
Also for many years Peterbuilt and Kenworth truck cabs 50:49 had plywood floors. Marine or exterior grade will last for years. I put it on my motorcycle trailer with a 1/8" aluminum treadplate on top. Very solid floor.
Peterbilt... not peterbuilt. And do you count as "many years", because peterbilt revolutionized truck design by introducing aluminum cabs with aluminum floors in 1945. We currently restoring a 1952 Kenworth cc524 tractor and it has factory metal floors. 75+ years of metal floors used by both manufacturers, I'd say wood floorpans were a short lived piece of truck engineering.
Wow sure is starting to look good Bob ! Why can't you get that bony butt red up to help you a bit ! Lol sure good to see you hanging with it ! And as always thanks for sharing !👍😁
Just some thoughts on taking/cutting off the fibreglass... Wouldn't a sander of some kind work better, much like in woodworking? You wouldn't take a grinder to a piece of wood. You'd take rasps and sanders (etc.) to wood. Like I said. Just some thoughts. Keep it up, Bob. After the day off.
Abrasive wheels are commonly used in fiberglass work to remove material fast and get a general shape. When he's fine tuning the panel, he used a block with sandpaper
I have never itched using autobody fiberglass, I don't know any autobody guys that complain but I hear a lot of people who never used it complain, weird isn't it? Home insulation fiberglass is an entirely different story. Have you ever used fiberglass mat for autobody? It's smooth like glass, welding blankets are fiberglass mat, you don't hear welders crying 😅.
greetings Bob 34 is gonna be great

Nice job on the inner fenders. I agree with you. Having them there puts a nice finish on the car.

It’s great. You know why? Rat rod Bob says so. But yes I like it.
If you didn’t show it nobody would know how much work you put into those two panels. Good job
Excellent work Bawb!
When you do the inside of the fender liners a fibreglass cloth is much stronger that mat and it doesn't need to be thick. I'm digging it Bawn.
Hot Diggity Dog!!!🏁🏁🔧🛠️🔨🤙🤙🤙🇺🇸🇺🇸Looks Good enuff to Roll out!
Definitely adds some soft curves to the side of the body. Side panels next. Cheers
Digging the music hope you find use for the grinder save time switching wheels👍

Red is pretty much useless ... gonna start back calling him the Dead Redneck.

Sure not like working with metal is it? You are getting it! Looking good RRB.
Don't forget that the side panels need to vent the air from the radiator. Thats why they had louvres in the original panels.
Fiberglass makes me itch just lookin' at it. Don't know how ya do it! Lookin good, just ain't got it yet ; )
