Sampras is the goat of grass.
Federer is also if course and in general he is the goat of all around play with amazing quality strokes.
Nadal is more serious player , more serious for the win and for purpose, so as a man.
Federer purely tennistically makes some strokes , he has the capacity to do some strokes at higher level to Nadal or Djokovic in general.
And of course Sampras in fast courts , such as the ones of early nineties and mid nineties is best.

Still can't believe Federer lost especially having 2 match points on serve while serving aces on his previous points. He choked and felt he lost his goat status to Djokovic that day. If Federer won that final he still be the goat today along with having won 9 Wimbledon's which is the most prestigious Grand Slam out of the 4. As I'm watching all the 6'4"-6'6" cookie cutter players at this year's AO, in my mind I could hear Andy Murray saying about Roger, "Nobody plays like him." Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas (even with his SHB), FAA, Sinner, Berrettini, etc. Stick all their names in a paper bag and pull one out. It's all the same game - big serve, hard hitting FH, comes to net a little bit, stands 4 feet behind the baseline, wallops every ball as hard as possible, decent court coverage for tall guys, some shaky backhands, too many double faults, mediocre volleying, occasionally tries to play one of Roger's signature shots, etc., etc. They could all literally be the same guy...except...Medvedev actually gets the job done and wins.

It was a great match but honnestly it looks like hard court, not Grass court. Not very fast. It helps strong players. Probably Federer wins much more Wimbledon with Real fast Grass court

I don't think so. As Feds ranking drops, the higher the probability these 2 will meet as early as in the 3rd round.

Glad to see fed avenge defeat from 2008 here. Despite being 37/38 here fed was rarely dominated in rallies and deservedly won. If per the norm then queue the usual excuses that nadal was injured.

Nonsense. They are playing together in laver cup this September, and there's a good chance rafa sweeps through roger in the early rounds of Wimbledon this year.
