- In this clip Jeannie Seely remembers her close friend Dottie West by recalling some humorous stories involving Dottie and by singing her Grammy-winning song "Here Comes My Baby".
Thank you, Jeannie Seely, for remembering Dottie West at The Grand Ole Opry and for keeping her memory alive there.
I love Jeanne Seely. She is such a positive woman. She always has such great stories. Loved Dittie West too. A life gone too soon. She is sing in Heaven with the Grand Ole Opry Chior. Beautiful music 🎵🎶 all around. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦🙏🌹
Amen
This was my favorite Dottie West song and I miss her too.
I totally agree. Dottie West deserves to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
She was finally inducted back in 2018 thanks to Jeannie's hard work
Jeannie is sounding JUST LIKE DOTTIE!! And, IF she gets her hair red,she looks JUST LIKE THE BEAUTIFUL DOTTIE WEST!
Dottie West needs to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

I agree with you she should be in the country home thing that's only fair she's been there longer so I think she should be there yep I agree🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Great stories and sense of humor! And its great to see Jack Greene pickin' and a grinnin' just before Jeannie Seely sings "Here Comes My Baby".
Jeannie and Dottie where two of my favorite singer's.
I love this story and I'll never tire of hearing it!
I was at Dottie West's next to last concert at The Washington County Fair in Wyoming RI
Remembering Dottie West 30 years this year that she passed (2021).
Jeannie just seems like such a cool lady. Lord knows she's a helluva a singer, but she has also matured into such a beautiful woman.
She is a very nice person too. I met her twice and the first time that we met I was talking to her which is how I know that she is a nice person. She makes you feel like she enjoys your company and isn't just talking to you because she thinks that she has to.
lOOKS better as she aged
Jeannie Seely never got the recognition she deserved. I saw her live with Jack Greene, Nashville, in the early 80’s. The whole house was a giant “Party”. She got up to sing and fell off the stage. She wasn’t hurt as someone halfway caught her, but she is an awesome voice!
Dottie was irreplaceable and should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame! Jeannie did a beautiful job of giving tribute to Dottie. If Dottie hadn't written and recorded this song first, guarenteed Jeannie would've had a monster hit on it as well!
I live a block away from the Flame (it closed in the 70s). I didn't know about it until a few years ago. I always wondered why a video reproduction company and an alcohol counseling place (the two businesses in the building now) had such fancy windows. I found a Flame picture of Dottie on Ebay, and I like to imagine Dottie walking past my apartment before her show.
I love this Jeannie I've been a fan of Dottie's since I was little unfortunately my 1st birthday was the week before the accident
Great stories. McMinnville misses Dottie also.
OMG I confused her with Jeannie C.Riley.When she started singing Here Comes My Baby,I came to sense.
The late Buddy Killen. If this name is unfamiliar to you then your're not a country music fan.
Was Jeannie there when Dottie had a hard time?
Yes & thanks to her heard work Dottie was finally inducted into the CMA Hall Of Fame in 2018
Those people in that room talked about how much Dottie helped them in their times of need. Wonder how many of them, if any, helped her when she was down and out before her death? Hypocrites.
I read a book 📖 about Country Music 🎶 recently and it mentioned her financial difficulties and it said that lots of her work colleagues and friends did try to help her out but she was too proud to accept help. The only help that she accepted was a second hand car 🚗 from Kenny Rodgers.
@@twinkletoes.9968 I certainly hope you're right. If not, they'll answer for it one day and be held accountable as well.
Wow you're so rude if it wouldn't have been for Jeannie Dottie wouldn't have been finally inducted into the CMA Hall Of Fame she worked her ### of for over 30 years to make it happen & she did so yes she's a true fan
@@coolsweetgroovy Being inducted into the CMA Hall of Fame does not pay the bills. I don't give a rat's a## if you think I'm rude.
I’ve read & heard some places that they tried to help Dottie but she wouldn’t except it let’s not be rude they were great friends of dotties especially Jeannie
Oh It is A Shame ,When She was Down & Out They Did not Take Care Of Her , But Now Some Are Thinking Of The Times They Let her Down , It Makes A lot of Dottie's Fans Sick to See Them Telling Themselves Lies , Bout how they Loved Her & Etc, Most of Them Are Very Selfish People & hoard Their Money !!!!!!

They all truly loved Dottie they tried to help her but she wouldn’t except it Dottie and Jeannie were really really good friends
Also the first part about her not accepting the help I’ve read places or heard about that
Who’s the man with Jeannie?
The late producer Buddy Killen
A lot of wigs in one room.
