When the book was about to be released under the title "God's Wrath" and Derek advertized it in his "Easter Message" another RUclipsr Matt commented it also as "Basically it's the series "Left behind" in the words of Derek Savage" and later he said: "Derek, put it into a movie. F**k Cool Cat, I wanna see the "God's Wrath" movie". Not gonna lie, it would be interesting in a trashy sort of way.
@@nickcarlsonpress Apparently, despite all the many, many titles (The Second Coming, Final Conflict, The Devil President, God's Apocalypse, God's Coming, God's Wrath, The Devil's Death, etc.) this is only the second time Savage published it (after Hell's Nightmare). Look on Internet Archive for those other titles, you'll see a lack of links to the book being sold on Amazon or other sites. Same for The Dancer (a.k.a. Midnight Stripper, The Honey Shack, The Sugar Shack, and Bad Boy).
He used to go round to schools to try and flog his books. He was supposed to go to Columbine of all places but it was around the time he wanted to make the Cool Cat:School Shooting so that go shot down, Goddamit
Interesting note about repackaging media to make a profit is that in various media circles it's actually quite common especially with B-Movies, exploitation films and foreign film imports. Two examples I can name of the top of my head is Chopping Mall and Reefer Madness. Chopping Mall was first released to theaters inder the title: Killbots, for some weird reason lost to the anals of history, parents at the time thought it was a kid friendly Transformers knock-off (Despite the fact it LITERALLY HAD "KILL" IN THE DAMN TITLE!) and not the violent gratutious, cheesy sci-fi, B-Movie slasher it actually was. This led to it underperforming and being pulled from theaters by Roger Corman's (RIP) New World Picturea and being repackaged as Chopping Mall in home video where it did better in terms of sales. Reefer Madness was an anti-marijuana film made by a local Catholic group, which is ironic considering Derek Savage and his work. Originally called: Tell your Children, It was a highly sensationalised tale about the dangers of marijuana where NOBODY did anything even resenbling research into drugs, narcotics or their uses, in the film (and I SWEAR this is true) they claim that heroin is safer than pot. Combine that with the over the top performances, cheesy dialogue and how exaggerated and melodramatic the film was, it's not a surprise that it wasn't taken seriously and due to not being copyrighted, was ironically shown around various colleges and movie theaters for midnight screenings thanks to one exploitation filmmaker named, Dwain Esper. And the rest they say is history. I'm not trying to defend Derek or justify his actions in anyway, shape or form it's just that the fact he did this just reminded me of that fun little bit of film trivia that I thought I'd share.
Also I forgot to mention that "Tell your Children" was changed to "Reefer Madness" sorry, it's hard to keep track with what i write due to how cracked my phone screen is.
The thing about Derek’s old books is he’s never actually published any of them. You can’t find Sweet Revenge or that exotic dancer one anywhere. I’m sure the same was true of God’s Rage and he only recently actually finished it.
At least it looks like an actual book now. When he plugged it in his Easter video (back when it was still God's Wrath) it was a cheap manuscript bound by screws. Feel free to check out that video, it's really something. It was posted in August, has Derek gushing about the Bible like it was an action movie, talking about things that never happened in it, and repeatedly referring to his hero as (no joke) "Christ Jesus".
I remember this clip, where he put the book right next to his bible and how it was a similar size and said "You have never read a story like this before". And don't forget: he also said that there was some "Rock'n Roll stuff" in the Bible with "Christ Jesus Baby Doll".
so weird we have Trench Crusade ,one of the most grimdark (chrisitian , muslim, jewish themed) table top game and book series coming soon getting released along side thisbook about christian thingy , such a weird year this is
As a Christian, having read and hated Left Behind, I’d take this over Left Behind, though it’s a hard choice. And I don’t even believe in this interpretation of Revelation!
I would take this over _Left Behind_ just out of the convinience of _Apocalypse the Second Coming_ being just one book while _Left Behind_ stretches the its story into like 16 dreadful novels
0:57 fun fact: impersonating a lawyer or law firm is EXTREMELY ILLEGAL
im not even surprised he wrote the same book twice tbh
nah he rewrote this book 20+ times if i remember correctly
@@sporemind lmfao i looekd into it and you are right hahahaha
Not gonna lie, "Left Behind directed by Michael Bay" sounds like the best soo-bad-is-good movie that could ever be made 😂

This is the bare minimum of originality I’d have in high school so my teacher wouldn’t find out I was just copying Wikipedia
Now I want you to review Sweet Revenge and the Dancer in order to make the perfect trilogy. I bet Savage would be proud of you.
Savage somehow made an even worse version of the Left Behind series. Thats impressive
What's worse is that God's Thunder is itself a repackage of an earlier book, Hell's Nightmare, that was published in 2001.
💀

Derek truly is the most environmentally friendly writer/director seeing how he constantly recycles his books and films.
I'm guessing the apocalypse is started by a kids at play sign
He used to go round to schools to try and flog his books. He was supposed to go to Columbine of all places but it was around the time he wanted to make the Cool Cat:School Shooting so that go shot down, Goddamit
The performance at the ending is still more believable than some televangelists

I would love to watch this video Nick Carlson Press, but unfortunately I cannot, due to my ass being chop suey

Nice video
I feel like this book would be better if it being promoted as a comedy because the way you talk about it written give me good chuckles😅
Tbf 10 pages of Klansmen getting eaten by locusts would be a decently amusing read
Remember, kids: It's not plagiarism if you plagiarize yourself.
It actually still, at least in academic papers.
i would love to see a book collab between scott and derek, just to witness how much bullshit shroom tripping nonsense they could come up with.
Me seeing this notification: oh *FUCK* yes
Top tier ending
This is just if Neil Breen wrote a book
6:30 dang it Derek I miss murder drones

This review was hilarious. Bravo.

12:07 Isn’t that the name of a Skylander?
