Dissecting a Squid We Found on the Beach

One morning went out snorkel during high tide. We found two squids washed up in tide pools that were dead but mostly intact. We took them home and Jason got to dissect one. We followed tutorials we found online. And the kids got to write their names with the squids ink and the pen inside the squid. I did this in school in 6th grade and always remembered that part. It was super interesting and definitely a little gross. But a great learning experience.
