No matter what Elvis thought of the movies he did.....I was 5 years old when i saw my first Elvis movie and I was hooked from that point on. They are iconic. His female co-stars...wow...Ann Margaret....and those dance routines they did together ......perfection.

Larry, I have so much respect for you. Your story is always consistent. The real human side to Elvis comes through. There’s always so many negative stories focusing on the, drugs/womanising and so on. They fail to emphasise how beautiful Elvis really was. The more I hear yours and mindi’s story cos both of your stories match. I’m so glad Elvis had some REAL friends around him.

    • @robbiejenkins4379

I like Larry as you said his stories are consistent, there's those certain few that always focused on the negative stuff, yet they didn't talk about Elvis getting them into acting part's in his movies, after they left workking for Elvis'/or sacked they had got experience. They would not have had any trouble finding jobs, you would just had to mention you worked for Elvis could get a job anywhere. Actually Red West went back,to acting, I don't remember the films that he acted in, they all stayed in the entertainment industry, whether it was in managing band's, film editing, they traveled everywhere where Elvis would have loved to have gone to, so Elvis had done alot for these people that worked for him, even after he passed away to this day. Elvis never spoke negative of anyone, even those that spoke bad/negative against him, all his interviews the media are asking questions about other artists but Elvis would reply I don't know, I will not speak negative of another entertainer, it annoys me, I feel the media is always trying to trip him up. R.I.P. Elvis hunker hunker love

I enjoyed listening to Larry and his comments about Elvis. Elvis was a Great Man and a Great entertainer. I have been to ELVIS CONCERTS , AND I HAVE SEEN ALL HIS MOVIES. As a fan , I think all of ELVIS FANS have come closer to ELVIS in these past weeks and years . This is the 40th ANNIVERSARY OF HIS DEATH .We LOVE ELVIS MORE NOW THAN WE EVER HAVE BEFORE. ELVIS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN . I have seen the movie "
ELVIS" , IT IS A MUST TO SEE . Austin Butler , played ELVIS PRESLEY , THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL. Austin, was SENSATIONAL. NO ONE ELSE could have played ELVIS , but Austin Butler. This movie , "ELVIS" was Austin's DESTINY. AUSTIN, gave this movie his Heart and Soul, his all and all. Just as ELVIS performed . ELVIS would have been PROUD OF AUSTIN BUTLER. The greatest singer of all times , ELVIS PRESLEY . I have seen the IMAGE OF A MAN, A ENTERTAINER.Now I have seen a GREAT MAN. Thank you for being a GREAT CLOSE FRIEND TO ELVIS .. You were
there side by side for ELVIS for all those years.
Life can be rough at times. We all have our struggles, but, if people follow the Good Lord, the bath of life is easier to travel. Elvis loves the Lord..Elvis sung from his heart.. HE was given a gift from GOD to sing. That was HIS DESTINY. My favorite song , tells it all. " HOW GREAT THOU ART". GOD BLESS YOU !

My aentiments exactly. I read Larry‘s book “ if I can dream”. An amazing book. Also watch Larry speak to of a group of people at Elvis’s Palm Springs honeymoon house several years ago telling stories of Elvis and when Elvis passed away. Larry’s storytelling has you on the edge of your seat. I don’t think I’ve heard another person speak as well as Larry does. I agree he was a positive influence on Elvis because Elvis was searching and wanted to know his purpose in life. Elvis really relied on Larry for many things -spiritually and his friendship. I love Larry & what a handsome man when he was young. By the way I think it was Faith that brought them together and you can hear the story that Larry tells on how he met Elvis on RUclips.

I agree. Larry is a very spiritual person,.. And Elvis was too and A Christian, he didn't find that connection with others because none of Elvis friends were religious, its difficult for the non spiritual to understand where Larry's coming from.. They judged him as ' weirdo ' .. ' cult'.. Or worse the Colonel thought he brainwashed Elvis.
Even Elvis confessed to Larry on his book If I Can Dream, that Priscilla burnt many spiritual books he read,.. Ain't that sad?
Larry was cut for while but Elvis was always followed him in a way.. That soul connection never really separated and yes Larry returned to work with Elvis again until the day he died.

Following from a spiritual view, it's clear to see ELVIS set his intent as a child. Using his imagination (thoughts become things) he paved a path like no other! He even has a recording as a grown man that he says, "Every dream I've ever dreamt has came true for me a thousand times! From the hero in the comic books to acting like the star in the movie screen". Now! Add in his southern roots and gospel singing... the good Lord had no choice but to answer!!!! He attracted it all right to him! So sad he was searching for the truth and it was hidden within the whole time! Bless his soul!

I heard that Elvis wouldn't go anywhere without his Bible. I am so happy that Elvis had a good relationship with God. Out of all of the guys who have told stories and written books about EP., Larry Gellar and Charlie Hodge are my favorites. They were both good story tellers. Many of the Memphis Mofia guys weren't happy with Larry joining the group because they missed the parties and the good times. This was a good interview about Elvis. I had always wondered what the first book was that Larry brought Elvis cause we all know what the last book was.

So much discussing in this interview it seems too difficult to comment on so much that Larry talked about. I think Larry wouldn’t mind one bit if you were to ask him to talk about Elvis for an entire day! Larry throughly enjoys talking about his Life with Elvis. Larry is maybe the very first person that I have heard talk about Elvis in such an easy manner! My number one thought about Larry is that he speaks about Elvis in such a manner as though they were truly friends and enjoyed one another’s company. Larry talks about Elvis as though these things happened in not too distance of the past, and he does it in such an entertaining manner. Thank you for sharing your interview with Larry Geller, I enjoyed it very much!

I truly enjoyed this interview, it's as real as real can get, only if people in today's world would realize what's truly important in life, so many people are caught up in materiel posesstions and tribal beliefs, all the while forgetting the truth, for what does a man profit to gain the world only to loose his soul, Elvis and Larry realized that fact and embraced the truth of life it self.

Mr Geller, along with Charlie Hodge and a few others, was one of the genuine souls in Elvis's life and death. Mr Geller and Elvis had a great deal in common and it's easy to see why they became friends. If only Elvis had more genuine souls in his life, he might have lived longer. So many others were only there for the money and the lifestyle, including that phoney "Colonel", probably the worst manager in entertainment history. No manager is worth 50% of their client's earnings, regardless of how good they are at their job. That's pure robbery in every way. Thank you, Mr Geller for your kindness to us and Elvis. You're a first-class gentleman. RIP, Elvis. You will never be forgotten and your legacy will live on forever. Your music is immortal. The Undisputed King of Rock and Roll always and forever.

I have to say what i think in watching you tube videos not read any books yet. But if Elvis had done what he wanted got more drama roles in movies the work might've been great he probably could act if given the chance as he has the energy the drive the ambition the looks and the talent but no, money condiderations once again stifled his creativity. He was innocent to the ways of business and let parker take care of that side. The gospel music won the Grammy BECAUSE it came from the heart. He shdve traveled he needed to keep creative i think. I didn't know him and cant get the books easily but thats what i think.

Why is Larry left out of Baz's movie? Worse, why is all he did attributed to Jerry and others? I know you must be asked this a lot, or think about it? Literally actual words said by Larry are taken (word for word) and given to others in the 2022 Elvis film. I have my own thoughts, but suspect Baz had to face walls in making this film, and would have wanted to include the truth with Larry, but gave in for the sake of making the film.

At 40:50 he says Elvis read the Bible acasionaly, yet when I heard others like his Menphis mafia and his courtet singers talk on the Spirital side of Elvis they said Elvis could quote alot of scripture and was very zealous with biblical knowledge.

As I learn more about Elvis's life the past few months, I totally believe his lifestyle in the later years killed him.
He was basically a depressed loner, kept himself away from the outside world in bedrooms.
If he was in Graceland, he was in his bedroom..when he was on tour, he'd be in his hotel room in bed, he never went out because he'd get mobbed by fans. Or closed up some where with a fling. No malicious intent, just stating his lifestyle.
If he did go out or travel, it was with his Memphis mafia gang at a secret location, and if fans found out and came around they'd have to leave.
What kind of life is that?
I don't care how big a house is, how many acres of land you have, to be healthy and stimulated mentally you have to venture outside..See the world, see people, see the sun rise and set..mingle with other human beings, live your life instead of shutting yourself off from the outside world in your house or mostly, in the dark, in your bedroom.
Jackie Gleason once gave Elvis excellent advice. He told Elvis he was going to be a big star someday..and to never stay out of the public because it will become a very lonely and depressing life, locking yourself away from the outside world..
He told him to go out, go to restaurants, live your life like everyone does, do things, etc.
Elvis obviously didn't take his advice, but Jackie nailed the way Elvis would live out his life. Im sure they discussed celebrity life amongst each other but this advice Jackie gave him was reported and it was spot on. The best advice anyone could give Elvis at the time.
My question is, why didn't anyone see this? Maybe they did but once you close yourself off from the outside world, reentry can be challenging, to say the least. Add drugs to self medicate / cope, and his lifestyle was Elvis's downfall. You can't carry on the way he did even at his age and not expect to decline. Your mentality, your physical state, and mobility become affected.
The Memphis mafia wasn't enough. Elvis could afford more security, it's hard to understand since he loved his fans, why did he chose to stay closed off from the outside world?
Graceland was his home, but even a place as large and full of the same people day in and day out, it doesn't make up for not leaving your circle of friends and your home.
I did read that he went out at night to avoid exposure. I often wonder if something else was happening to him mentally, to be ok with staying behind 4 walls day in and day out between gigs.

Larry Geller this mainly to you!
Since you were Elvis Presley's best confidant and spiritual advisor, I will briefly mention here that Elvis' soul is here now in- with Angelina Jordan Norway.
She is a famous singer since she was 7 years old.
She is now 2023. 17 years old.
But what I write may have to wait a bit, but memories will also be activated from past lives if needed in the coming new era.
Therefore this is for you because it should be the best in the world within a few years - anytime and for a shorter time over the gong period depending on which days other weeks other months and approx. for 2 years with most of the transitional changes in other areas.
In addition to this, the Earth with everything will become very large and then the best universal help to change with it all even during life.
That in that case it might be possible if you are still on earth and then and in that case you are part of this if you were born in 1939.
This after you seem to belong to the approx. The 40,000 soul manifestations of the Archangels, here on earth now.
Who are among those who will receive extra nutrition in the necessary new time and approx. 26 years of forever so young and spiritual life.
Which has to do with the biggest change ever in the universe and here on earth and during life.
Which should be extra cleansing with the removal of all evil temptations.
And at the beginning of it all, extra movements of the tectonic plates with the sea during approx. one month.
There within and after everything is clear.
All people destined to remain on earth will then have between 6 and 12 of their silver chakra strings raised.
And with it all, we are helped into the higher workplace that we call Paradise. Kent Olsson. Sweden

I would have asked Mr Keller if Elvis's mother was not troubled by the "New Age" alternatives to the Holy Bible? I am not sure but I think they had Baptist roots. They may not have liked this at all. Even though it is a wonderful book some would not have read it as could have thought it was blasphemy and the Bible is the only book.

I've been an Elvis fan all of my life. That being said, I think if he would've spent more time in the Bible instead of so much time reading Hinduism, he would've found God's reason for giving him life. I get this feeling he was a little gullible, and....SHAZZAM....there's Larry more than willing to feed him a bunch of worldly rubbish.
