I have almost 14 years of never going anywhere but studying at home, thank you I think I am a crazy person in an extrovert country. Thank you for being more than inspiring.☘️🍀🙏
P.S. Not to be patronizing at all, but, nothing wrong with not being a total extrovert and travel warrior: I'm normally an indoor person, someone who likes to sit here and play guitar, read books, write (I am a published writer and critic), watch movies, flight simulation, and sometimes work from home, and I know tons of people in my field in particular, who are like that. No shame in it. Most of the folks I've met over the years in Horror, Fantasy and SF fandom and writing and publishing, are like that, they are sometimes social going to conventions and things, some are extroverts, but most are absolutely not. I feel mainly the same as you! Most professional musicians are more outgoing, usually, because, I guess they have to be.
@@myrawest The important thing is that you still do (adventuring, exploring, etc.) anyway, anxiety or not, (look for my other main comment about that), because the best way to become less anxious about something is to just get out of your "comfort zone" a little bit and "Just do it!" (As Nike's slogan says, lol!)
It sucks when you are a guy and have anxiety towards other people and don't talk much. People think you are up to something and think you are creepy or a monster which makes me feel even more anxious as I am none of those things :-(
I find I talk less and less these days, usually, as I tend to overtalk when I'm in a gregarious mood. I say as little as possible most of the time. Mainly I have Asperger's and some anxiety and panic syndrome. The past year was so awful, I found that, living on my own as I do, keeping busy is the best distraction: playing guitar, hobbies, watching movies, music, and maintaining my car is a FT hobby almost, stuff like that. I have less anxiety when I keep on top of those things, and I'm distracted by positive interests. I don't travel really, because of the past year and a half situation, and also, due to money and not wanting to travel alone that much. I normally take quick trips around LI and NYC but I rarely drive out of the area anymore. I want to take more road trips again like I used to.
Being a guy makes one feel obliged to be an outgoing and fun person. And if you're quiet it may indeed look creepy, especially when in the company of women. Like - look at that maniac that doesn't smile and not starting a small-talk. That sucks indeed. Damn. I don't want to follow common patterns of society. Just being myself and not being looked at like some sort of weirdo.
I'm a guy with anxiety and severe panic disorder. Never talked a lot. Lots of people appreciate not talking a lot and I had a couple of girlfriends, now a wife and a kid. What I'm saying is don't beat yourself up and that there are people out there who will appreciate you. For me it was important to strive for being a nice person despite my mental problems. I often found myself being an asshole to others because I had constant anxiety and that was something that others couldn't accept. Once I realized that it became easier to socialize. Also go to a doctor, there are really good meds, and there is therapy.
Myra, thank you so, so much! Your vids are true masterpieces and here's another one! It really has it all!!! Your editing's superb, the river, the train, the road trip, pure nature, everything's in motion, the beauty of life, inspirations, feelings, emotions, the good and the bad, magical places, enjoying the moment, living life to the fullest, struggling, OMG, always blown away by your content, ideas and creativity, your calm and wonderful voice as well as your personality and honesty! A MASTERPIECE, JUST A MASTERPIECE (only 25% make it to the end, REALLY!???? NO WAY)
Casey May thank you so much, this means more than you know! I appreciate you noticing and picking up on everything I'm trying to share and I'm so happy to hear that my videos affect you positively. That makes this so fulfilling and worth it! You're always so kind with your comments♡
Your struggle with anxiety resonate with me a lot; I'm glad that unlike me, you can at least be functional to such a high degree. Life is about taking a step at a time. I hope we can both overcome our respective issues and personal demons. Thank you.
Yes! One step at a time!! I started forcing myself out of my comfort zone 4 years ago, and I have come a long long way! You should watch my battling anxiety video to see where I started, I was completely frozen from fear and feeling helpless and incapable. It is possible for you to get better...
I don’t think it is an anxiety. Some souls are here on Earth to simply STAY- to keep the light grid. They don’t need to BELONG. You are a higher dimension being having an experience in a hostile place among humans and human kind.
Hi Myra, loved the video. Looks like you had alot of fun. Yay, Washington State is my home state. Hope you enjoy the sight seeing. You can see mt. Adams, mt Rainer and mt st. Helens. Have fun girl😃❤❤
Jesus Christ!!! Myra West, what a beautiful places !!! So good for the peace of mind.. when the mind is in peace!!! Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona have such beautiful places!!! Let´s see Washington state in the next video!!!
When the sun is shining into this fresh spring green of the beech trees, that gives me one of these most intense feelings of beauty of nature. Myra feels exactly the same. We're in a green cathedral steeped in sunlight. Myra sees the same sun as we do. This makes me happy. Isn't it fantastic that we all LOVE the same sun at the same time all over the world?
I like how you're experimenting with different styles of editing, I thought the "throwing your phone in the air" thing was really creative! Keep it up :)
Thank you! Haha you noticed, yes I am definitely experimenting with editing! I dont know when I'll find my signature style so I hope you hang around for the ride :)
Love…. Loved the video Myra as always. Thanks for keeping it real and taking us on your adventures with you. Nice to know there’s other introverts out there too.
Yeah, I spent so many years thinking I was the only one like me! Wow! There are so many others with the same struggles and I want to make my videos for you guys
@@myrawest you do a great job with your videos! Like, you seriously help me on my worst days when I’m feeling anxious and/or depressed and having negative thoughts. Thanks for the reply and everything you do!
"Ogh my eyes!" See, I made it to the end! Gosh this was so enjoyable, and you were so honest and brave! So much beauty in the places you explore, which I believe reflects the beauty in your heart! You handled yourself very well, with courage, selflessness, grace, and wholesomeness! Even in your overwhelmed moments you held yourself with strength and composure, and this brought hope into my heart! Throughout this video it brought me tears of enjoyment at just how beautiful it was! Thank You!!! (looking forward to part 2, shout out to all your subscribers!)
I dont know if u wnat to hear this Myra Be calm . I know it's hard . And it's easy to say than to do it . But be patient with yourself . Don't let your past give u tension . Be happy . Take rest . As a confused teenager I only have this to say to you
This was a fun video. love. Looking forward to part 2. Even enjoyed the parts you left in, lol! And such beautiful areas to hike! So jealous! Be well, be blessed. 🍕🦄🧚♀️💖
Oregon's nature looks so good and peaceful. Of course at the same time its dangerous because you can run into some animals or worse, some bad people. I cannot understand the appeal of living in a big city with people everywhere. i guess if you are an extrovert it makes sense. As an introvert, i wish i lived in some remote village :D
I am setting the reminder right now! Now I just watched the entire video, thank you for sharing Portland with us! The water was particularly moving and amazing to me! Its incredible that you also went to Washington State and that you met two of your subscribers! I am very interested in seeing this video too when it posts later this month
~LOVE~ I love how creative your filming is. Thank you for reminding me how magical Oregon is and why I moved here. I take it for granted too often, although I have not explored in quite awhile. I can relate to your anxiety. I still have at 37, but it has become more manageable, and I’ve grown to like it about myself. I look forward to your next videos.
Love that I'm in some top 25% of something. You have some really beautiful little fragments of video. I hope you have fun putting them together. My favorite was you in your car in Portland being overwhelmed. It's a bit hard to explain why though, ... It seemed really real, that's all.
Thank you! I recorded that when I would never normally record because I always feel I have to get myself into a better state of mind before recording. Thank you for recognizing my editing, I do love doing it!

You at the beginning of your video you are not only pretty but you showed your great smile. This video brought the warmth and betterment a little bit that my life needed.
Thanks Myra, this is beautiful. You might want to go to the Sky Bridge that connects the Portland Veteran's Hospital with the University of Portland Hospital up on the hill. It's really beautiful. The Portland Zoo is great and Powell's Books is a place you don't want to miss. Portland also has a ton of great pizza restaurants and there used to be a great hamburger place that I can't really remember the name of across from the Aladdin hotel near an old Safeway on a street parallel to the freeway that comes in from the south. I don't live in Portland, only visited when I had a V.A. appointment at the hospital up on the hill. Great video!
Love !! I love this video. There's something about the way you put this together that just holds my attention. I love it. Can't wIt until the next one! Take care , be safe.
Beautiful video! I have always loved and miss the Western Forests. This almost gives me the feeling of being there again. I love the fresh air and the wild and untamed feeling. I really appreciate the struggle and the effort that you go through to share, you are amazing! Thank you Myra! "LOVE".
@@myrawest I was actually wondering the same thing too, as you mentioned the "social experiment" thing in the beginning... It sounds like, by your reply here, that you're kinda doing something like what some celebrities do with all of their different (and sometimes crazy) outfits and personal style changes, just to see what the public says and how everyone reacts to them... I think that doing that kind of "social experimenting" can be an interesting thing to do IF you can take others' reactions "with a grain of salt" and NOT let any opinions of others bother you at all, or make you feel in any way other than inspired, amused and informed... Never let what anyone else says about you or your personal styles and choices make you feel negatively about yourself, as those other people are not you, and therefore cannot make or break you. Always remember that! 🙄
@Myra West First : the LOVE ❤️ you inspired to by asking. (25%) Then : the LOVE ❤️ that you inspired to BEFORE asking due to your: - Honest and authentic sharing of feelings and your life. - Your filming of nature ( Made me want to go some mini hikes. Some hikes alone because that gives the silence to see the details. .... and some hikes with someone like you to share the joy and worries with :) ) - Playfulness along with your more challenging moments. To you from Europe Scandinavia DENMARK :) IF you would like to, I think you could soon make good payed videos about several things. Alone or together with other people. May good "things" come to you. And may you let in the things that you finds of value for you. :)
I made it through. I lived in Portland for six years. My wife died there. I see you spent a lot of time in the Columbia Gorge, one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
I'm just amazed by all the moss. I love the pure green of everything covered in it. Over here in Australia we have large expanses of bushland and forests, but the air is never damp enough to cover the trees and everything the eye can see in moss. Don't get me wrong, we have moss on rocks and near the ground but our forests and flora have developed in such a dry and harsh environment they live in a completely different world almost.
Not really a question but a statement. Have you ever watched a video and started tearing up, and there were no words that could explain why? Well, your video did this to me today. I was meant to see this and watched all the way through, and at the end just knew all is going to be ok in my world-Thats it, nothing more to be said. Just thank you, Internet friend.
Oh no, I remember that I did read this comment, and it meant so much to me but I just didn't remember to respond! Thank you so much. To have my vidoes affect people emotionally is such a huge honor.
25% & love! :-) Yeah, this video did start out pretty fast paced. Well done for going back to where there were dangerous levels of smoke in the sky the last time you went. I'm sure that was an unusual event, but it'd still be worrying going back. Lots of great sights here & your choices of music fit really well. & yeah, talking to a camera sure is hard to do.
Gosh I need a road trip! I'm in mood for a wild summer adventure here in Italy, maybe driving around the country! Hello from Florence everyone! P.S - some amazing footage in this video, my eyes were delighted!
Love. Loved the goth look. Really glad to know you visit the Portland area. Another anxiety filled introvert waves from Scappoose (20ish miles north of pdx) The phone throw footage was awesome!
Aww thank you!! That's so cool you live around the area! Yes, I want to inspire those of us who experience debilitating fear, that it is possible to still live the life you want.
@@myrawest i think I was much more "okay" when I was younger. Its like the older I've gotten the worse the anxiety has become, especially socially. It's okay though, I can watch videos like yours and see some of the joy you express in spite of it all. Please visit often. I can't say I like Oregon's beauty as much as Hawaiʻi's, but I still think this is one of the most beautiful places to exist, and plenty of introverts all around who just kind of "get it"
Are you only uploading once a month now? I was starting to worry that you were giving up when I hadn't seen a new video in a while. I like to watch your videos when I'm tired of looking at the type of content I upload.
I upload as often as I can... I dotb have a schedule, but I am always thinking of my vidoes, ideas and editing. I'd like to upload once every 2 weeks at least
Almost sounded like the midnight there at the end. Check them out, they have the retro synthwave stuff down. Beautiful imagery, wish I lived there. Northern West coast that is.

Nice video, beautiful places. 🙂👍🏻
10:10 turned out really cool, i think it was a good idea lol
Love
Wow! Some breathtaking shots. Stay well beautiful.
Thank you!
Wow so beautiful over there, thanx sharing this video...
Greetings Maurice
Another great video! Looks like so much fun 💖😁
❤
Oregon is beautiful! I have fam there! Looks like you are Overcoming some of your fears & pushing through issues! 👊 Way to go!! 😁
I am really digging the music that you used in this video. It really gives it a surreal feeling.
Love !!
I love this video. There's something about the way you put this together that just holds my attention. I love it. Can't wIt until the next one! Take care , be safe.
Wow!! What a compliment! Thank you very much. I am still trying to learn how to make INTERESTING videos
I love tagging along for the ride on your adventures Myra! 💕 Also your video editing skills are really improving. 👌 Very much enjoyed! 😊 ❤ x x x x
Thank you so much for noticing! (The simple trick is slowmo and good music)
Best to you and all the luck and happiness. Stopping by from Sweetlake City in the Netherlands
Myra, I absolutely adore your wicked sense of humor.
Woah! You're like the only person who has acknowledged me trying to be funny!
Beautiful video! I have always loved and miss the Western Forests. This almost gives me the feeling of being there again. I love the fresh air and the wild and untamed feeling. I really appreciate the struggle and the effort that you go through to share, you are amazing! Thank you Myra! "LOVE".
Thank you so much ♡
My mom goes to Zion every year. I’ve been once with them. Beautiful spot!
Ooh I hope that social experiment makes its way into another video, I'd love to see the results.
Unfortunately no, but I will at some point make a video about it. Dressing in different looks to see how I am treated and looked at
@@myrawest I was actually wondering the same thing too, as you mentioned the "social experiment" thing in the beginning...

First : the LOVE ❤️ you inspired to by asking. (25%)
Then : the LOVE ❤️ that you inspired to BEFORE asking due to
your:
- Honest and authentic sharing of feelings and your life.
- Your filming of nature ( Made me want to go some mini hikes. Some hikes alone because that gives the silence to see the details. .... and some hikes with someone like you to share the joy and worries with :) )
- Playfulness along with your more challenging moments.
To you from
Europe Scandinavia DENMARK :)
IF you would like to, I think you could soon make good payed videos about several things.
Alone or together with other people.
May good "things" come to you.
And may you let in the things that you finds of value for you.
:)
Throwing the phone was brilliant!
I "love" it!
Aww thanks! ❤😀
I made it through. I lived in Portland for six years. My wife died there. I see you spent a lot of time in the Columbia Gorge, one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
"LOVE" says the myramaniac and sends myriads of kisses to the West...
I love the home video vibe your video has and your voiceover was fantastic
Very inspirational. Thank you.
♡
I'm just amazed by all the moss. I love the pure green of everything covered in it. Over here in Australia we have large expanses of bushland and forests, but the air is never damp enough to cover the trees and everything the eye can see in moss. Don't get me wrong, we have moss on rocks and near the ground but our forests and flora have developed in such a dry and harsh environment they live in a completely different world almost.
Yes! I too am enthralled by the moss! I grew up in Wisconsin and even though its green, I've never experienced such a jungle of dense green
You’re so genuine and I love that about you.
Like a true nature child You where born to be wild! L O V E
😁❤
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. KEEP IT UP I LOVE YOU ❤️
THANK YOU!!
Feels like videos around 2010 .. simple, clear and no fancy stufd
Haha! It's because I suck at making videos!
Awesome videography! 💞
Thank you!
Gosh I need a road trip! I'm in mood for a wild summer adventure here in Italy, maybe driving around the country! Hello from Florence everyone! P.S - some amazing footage in this video, my eyes were delighted!
Thank you! Yes do a roadtrip! I always feel changed after!
"Love" the video :>) Great to see you again!!
Love.
Loved the goth look. Really glad to know you visit the Portland area.
Another anxiety filled introvert waves from Scappoose (20ish miles north of pdx)
The phone throw footage was awesome!
I can't say I like Oregon's beauty as much as Hawaiʻi's, but I still think this is one of the most beautiful places to exist, and plenty of introverts all around who just kind of "get it"
So what was your little "social experiment" that you mentioned in the beginning? (Just curious)
Every other RUclipsr: Flying a drone
Myra: Throws a phone up into the air and slow-mo the video. 😂
Hahaha! Its a drone for poor people!
diy!
You seem really at ease with who you are, despite the anxiety. I hope you had a lot of fun 💚
That is incredible you can see that, yes, i feel like i know myself extremely well and i can enjoy my own company.. which is so importantl
@@myrawest Highly agree with that c:
Are you only uploading once a month now? I was starting to worry that you were giving up when I hadn't seen a new video in a while. I like to watch your videos when I'm tired of looking at the type of content I upload.
I upload as often as I can... I dotb have a schedule, but I am always thinking of my vidoes, ideas and editing.
I'd like to upload once every 2 weeks at least
Almost sounded like the midnight there at the end. Check them out, they have the retro synthwave stuff down. Beautiful imagery, wish I lived there. Northern West coast that is.
Hello Myra looks like you are having a time of your life exploring and the video was excellent especially the water and flowers but i do want to tell you something that place where the rock building is very dangerous are the reason i know i seen it in other videos so please try to least have one other person with you especially in the woods other than that it's good to see another one of your great videos so keep up the good work looking forward to part 2.
Love! Great video, hope you're doing well. Excited for part two, Wahsington :)
Yes! It's going to be a good one!
Beautiful video Myra, loved it!!!!!!!
I _love_ that phone flipping, it was wild and soothing at the same time! :o
❤
Could imagine you having a sponsor like a Travel Agency. Youre truly a Director, keep on, enjoy yourself! Have you ever thought about Bushcrafting?
